anybody know the type of metal that aftermarket companies use for exhaust tips. the original plan was for a boso style dual tips, but insurance had already pulled the plug on those style tips, and the ones that i got from insurance are just straight style dual tips. so i guess ill be making my own exhaust, but am searching for the type of metal and bent tips and gauge of the metal. i dont know if anyone can understand though. lol.

how much for the y33 one? im not looking for anything expensive, just because i will probably be cutting off the tips and reworking them.

yeah, i was thinking dual 4.5"  because i like the look of the insurance one, but it doesnt clear the kit correctly, and its not bent upwards like how i wanted. i dont really want to hack up the exhaust clearance, as that means i will be spending even more time than expected with the car.  so i will be selling my insurance exhaust and just custom making my own. i think i found the right thing for me, just a matter of a good welder now.
anybody know what gauge the metal is?

try 18 gauge...and either use band saw or cold cut saw to make the cuts so its nice and straight and very minimal burrs. And TIG weld it haha..give some nice clean welds.

That thing is going to be clean once its finished! I'd like to take a ride in a fwd with wide fronts. As for Andy's Auto taking your pic, I'd ask for compensaion or hand them a subpoena.

Very sick! I thought you had gotten rid of it since I hadn't seen it for a while.

Looking good...  You really should get some racks to put all that stuff away to make more room.    I just recently installed a ceiling hanging rack bought at home depot and it cleared about about 6 plastic storage bins worth of crap.

that's some mean camber action on a FWD.

Are the wheels mounted even or just sitting on the floor?  Haha, just curious, aero looks like it'll work out great for you though.  I like where's it's going, this more period correct look suits your car.

yes they are mounted, you probably forgot about my camber threads, but yeah, it was supposed to look broken axle, but with the kit being so aggressive, it only looks like mild camber. im starting to work on the driver side aero as of today, so ill snap a few more shots of the passenger side, because the passenger side is on ramps, but this way you should be able to get a better idea of the project, instead of the pic above, where one wheel is fully compressed, and the front wheel is completely hanging in the air.
and yeah, i agree that the aero does look very period correct.
as for everybody asking for updates, that pic above was the update, not a whole lot, but something at least.

well, i think i finally finished up the air suspension. finally finished routing the airlines in cabin, just need to finish up the trunk setup. finished installing the kit, needs minor glassing, but its installed for the most part to how i want it. finishing up put the original interior back in right now, and then hopefully off to registration and alignment. i know its not the best looking thing, but it will have to do for now since i really cant afford the apint work.

lol. its funny because i remembered that subject the other day when i picked up a buddy and showed him my ride. we talked about that same thing, mikemareen was the name and some other people saying i couldnt get it to work and that its physically impossible and yadda yadda. lol funny. if i was just on coils the suspension couldve been done a long time ago, and i still couldve kept the same camber and not have to cut the shock towers. too funny, i still get kicks out of it thinking about it. 
but the issue of driving around the car without it being painted is a little ghetto, but i take pride in my project because ive worked on it for awhile now all in my garage, from repairing the front end collision myself, to installing the kit and fabricating my suspension. its been painstaking working on this car. many people have discouraged me, so yeah..........when its 100% complete, its definitely going to be a sight on the faces of many haters.
well, one day it will be 100% complete.
