Color change

My UCF10 just got rear ended on friday :signdammit: and I was wondering how much it usually costs to do a color change, I have the two tone black and gray, and want to go just with the black, so I guess you wouldn't really call it a full color change but I was just curious for a ball park figure.

It shouldn't be any different since the gray is the lower part...aren't the jams and everything else still black? I'm asking because I haven't had a two tone stock car like that.

If the jambs are black, I think it should only be a couple grand

like fire said It depends on your door jams either way their prolly gonna have to paint the whole car or ur not gonna get paint match due to age of original paint or lack of care. either way go full paint so u get a nice even clean scratchless paint.

Yeah, the jambs are black I just wasn't sure how much a full paint job was, I keep hearing different numbers when I call around and wasn't sure what I should expect. I didn't mean I was only going to paint the gray lol

All they have to do is respray/match the lower bumpers, skirts, and rocker panels. It'll be under 1k to do that, that's out of pocket.

If insurance is covering it, I'm sure it'll be no problem if you find a shop willing to fit it into the adjustment.

if u got rear ended its a good chance youll get it covered...unless they have no insurance.

but if they do, id take it to a lexus/toyota dealership that does autobody.

That sucks man, my car was hit in a parking lot and the took off. Ended up costing me close to 1k, they bent in the truck smased 2 of the tails and scratched up the bumper so i know it was a truck.

But the once i saw the truck again and got the plates the Cops said the couldnt do anything with out visual evidence from there car.. which there was none. :[

:signdammit: I hope they find the dude that hit me quick then because his bumper was mostly off and all dented up. They said they were looking for him that night but for some reason I can't get any info until the report comes out so they may have already found him.

I would do an All-over on that for about $3-$4K without looking at the damage from the accident and parking lot dings and scratches. Going to a single color is the best way to update the look. You dont see anymore two-tone cars anymore.

True but I can say we dont half as our work and even for some strange reason it peels chips and crack or fades which highly unlikely because of our uv coat added in the clear, Our paint jobs come with a 3 year warrenty and you can take it to any shop that we have in the US and have it done over again for free. And I dont think nobody else can say that or will stand by there paint jobs like that not even at $3000+ so like I said pm me and we can talk about it, and I will say Im not doing it for the money cause I might be leaving soon anyway to go to school for desiel mechanic, I just hate so see people pay all that money for a paint job when they not getting a full underbody underhood inner doorjam completely costume paint job
