15mm spacer in the rear. offsets are fairly conservative. 18x8 +23 in rear and +28 in the front. but as i said, im all about being conservative. thx.

Im glad to see some pictures of vip start up around the world. I also have a project of my own 03- E320/E350. in the few months to come and would like to see how how many benz owners out there and what type of kit is offer.

It's a gen-1, 500SEL W126 from 1985
These Tiger tanks were designed in the early-seventies and were sold from '79-'91, if any car has been influential to large Japanese luxury car design it was this model

Hey what type of Air suspension are you using?

No Air.  it is stock suspension.  The wheels are 20" and I have some H&R springs coming in the mail this week sometime. I know it looks 4X4ish but the springs will hopfully make it look better.

I bet your wrong. I'm not 100% sure, but I know alot of the hardcore euro scene guys tend to stay away from air. Its considered more hardcore to ride like that with coilovers. There is a european club called FAR (f*ck air ride), I want to say its a group of Dutch guys, but I could be wrong (one of the euro guys could correct me). I would be seriously supprised if this car was not on coils.

That car isnt on air. Theres a buildup of that car somewhere online.

Funny, there appears to be a similar trend growing in Japan. Coilovers for the hardcore, airbags for the people who want to stay practical (pansies? :)). You mainly see it with the older cars though, pre-2000 etc. People rolling with less than 1 finger height under their chassis... on coilovers (and yes, even with big heavy VIP sedans - in fact coilovers ride real nice on heavy cars!).
 
You know what? I am going to pose this question to one of the guys i've chatted to on Minkara. He has a Cima that appears to DD at about 1/2" off the ground... I'mma ask him why he chose coilovers...

true true well i dont find it practical to drive that low.
here in nz i used to scrape with my sentia and it was 90mm of he ground.

You got a beautiful car there.  You should be proud.  Just get a spacer in the ear and roll the fenders and your good to go

OEM mercedes lowering link are adjustable tie bars with an OEM Mercedes Part #.   I prefer this than the washer method or the module methods as I can achieve an aggressive drop with full function of electronics from OEM such as air suspension and height adjustment

Simple explanation:  It tricks the airsus sensors into thinking the car is at a higher height than it is..which gives same range of adjustment, but high setting is lower than "stock".  The range doesn't change...it just makes the overall range lower from the start.  We do this on a lot of factory airsus benz's..and yes, it's a way better method than the washers and modding the stock rear links or a controller.  looks nice, now you REALLY need those spacers!

its a rieger front lip. they arent very hard to find. they go from $200-300.  you can get if off ebay.  make sure you get the one for your model year because they are different.

Those long wheel base W126's are really nice.  They were built really tough back then..yours looks very clean.  A great place to start!

^^^^  Hell ya, it was my background til i had some of my own car.  As soon as i am finished with school and doing decent(provided theres still gas around) ill be driving a cl55.  Love those cars more than any other vehicle I have even been in.  And i have been in some really nice cars.

I want to get my hands on a CLS.  That white one is sick but I don't like the fender vents

I really want to do the W140 but I have a feeling I would never drive it because it would always be getting body work.  The CLS on the other hand, I would get to enjoy more and get more girls with  then with the W140.

thanks guys but actually, the brabus one is someone elses car. I have the pic and thought I would post it. I did have the mono III's for a little while but never put them on they were all silver. I sold them and ordered the VIP Modulars which are on the car now. The kit on the other black car is a Auto Couture Lip kit.

thanks for clearing that up, LOL, I was confused like, why did he strip his tint and go back to orange bumper lenses. Thought the kit looked a little "off" not in a bad way, just different from your sig. I was thinking different angles?!? Both rides are smooth.

This car was done by rs-tuning.hu. It's now red. They managed to destroy the front left wheel before a magazine shoot also.

to fit the rims i had to run spacers all around to clear the shocks on the inside
also i had to flare the hell out of my fenders to make them look right i have a before pic of the flare i did and they poked mexiflush

looking forward to the new look.
