Legacy Widebody project

So, i KNOW its not a VIP car. but obviously fitment will be VIP when its done, as we all know i love fitment.

So anyways, im building a grip car, ill be using 18x9.5 +23 with a 25mm conversion spacer to 5x114.3.  itll be running 225/40 on the 9.5s 
i will then have 17x8 +35 with conversion spacers also for track use with Direzza Z1s.

regardless, I have flares.
when all is said and done, they will be all molded on, i have aero for the car as well. rear will be molded to door, fender and bumper
front just to bumper and fender obviously. I also have to cut the inner fender out and reweld it. Sucky part is its gonna bump me up to a 300 plate which means more cahs for taxes :(

When you say moulded to door, quarter, and bumper, you're cutting it into three pieces right? (the door is obvious, but you're not moulding it to the bumper and fender in one piece are you?)

How come your plate gets bumped up for modding the car?

What's a 300 plate?

basically its gonna work like this
Mount the flare to the door, open door, trace door line, drill rivet, cut flare along line
Mount to rear bumper, remover bumper, cut flare along bumper line
mold as applicable after cutting the fuck outta some fender to make clearance.

300 simple(not total reason) means wide car costs more on road tax every year

in for pics, this sounds like an interesting build. i've always was curious on what a us-spec 05-07 legacy (4 door, nonwagon) would look vip styled/widebody.

ok, good fucking news. THe flare will actually contour perfect RIGHT below the door. This will lower the arch just a tad, so it waill make it so i can rasie the car up a bit for suspension geometry and still appear as low as i am now since the new bumper is much lower.

Sounds stupid, but i have to raise the car up anyways also so the diffuser doesnt hit everywhere i leave.

ok, so everything fits. now i have to trim the front fender, and cut the rear, bend and weld it together.  I decided against molding the flares for NOW. i have inspection in feb, and the flares will bump me up a plate meaning more insurance, and more road tax each year. so if i leave it like this, i can just take em off and pass inspection with teh cut fenders.

put the wing on too.  we shall see if it does a damn thing

I'm liking were this is heading.

voltage converter was too small

installed a sub, trimmed the front fenders under the flares for clearance

Alsa makes a clear rainbow flake that's good for white because you don't see the flakes when they're not 'popping'.
