I'm voting for the second one, as it appears as though the faces are less concave, making the wheels appear "deeper". :)

ax for the vip look
tl is kind of sporty so the cx would match the best, but looks like your current wheels
i like the wx but might look a little off on that car.

I'd say WX's.

CX's are an exaggerated version of your current wheels.
AX's don't look right on that car.

i was thinkin about 19x9 +40 all around. but ill consider running more aggressive since my car will be getting a body job, and i can prolly work and pull those fenders.

our rears seem difficult to pull tho.

Reason why they say that is because AME came out late in the game with designs that copy OG wheel manufacturers such as SSR, Work, etc. On top of that, their wheels are 2 piece welded so you cannot change the barrels to change width.

I disagree with them partially because AME is still a quality wheel even though the designs are not exactly original. It is still, in fact, made by Enkei.

By saying AMEs are overpriced Rotas - yes the designs are copied, but the quality is still present.

ive personally never owned a set, and never will. but i can tell u that ame quality is pretty junk. ive never heard of so many bent barrels before. my friend went thru 5 LX's on his y33 all 5 had bends and warps, some were bent in over 3-4 inches :smiley-rofl:one wheel got bent so many times he had to replace it cause the wheel shop was telling him how the metal on that one is junk already, either from the mfg. defect or from reshaping so much. other owners i know have problems too, but not as severe as his.
id just buy some works if i went more reasonably price 2 piece wheels.

1. Have hit MANY potholes VERY hard and Never had any damages!

2. Forever classic on my car! Will always been one of the best wheels I've owned

3. For the price they are very decent

My only gripe about them is:

- There 2 piece welds which is blah

- Wish it came in 11s or wider

-/+ Very heavy rim!

* Of course I owned a set of 20s so I'm not sure if those are any different from the 19s and lower...

I offten think to my self, why did I sell these (Which I know when I think of what I'm getting =) Hahhahaha!) but I think if the opportunity came about to own thse again.....I would!

PERIOD.

I don't see why people bring up 2-piece as an issue - the ever-popular Eurolines are 2-piece as well, along with dozens of other popular designs.

But anyways, my vote goes to the CX. WX looks especially gross in higher offsets, the AX looks like you're rollin' on anvils, with the low profile of the TL.

Tabernac indeed.

nah actually honda fenders are pretty soft, easy to roll/pull

19x9 et40 will be aight up front, but that will look sunken in the rear, you can get away with 19x9 et30 in the rear easy... you wont have to pull unless your lookn at like 19x9 et20

i dont have a problem with the rear quarter panel. i can cut that easily, as i have. but the rear bumper tap gets in the way. its the very corner. if i cut that i lose the support.

any clue? i really dont want to run super stretch, im lookin 235/40 on 9's

no you want 225s. only 235 if you run a 10" in the rear, you have to relocate your mount, not that hard to do, just move it back.

I LOL whenever someone says 2 piece is worse cause you can't change the lips. How many people here have actually replaced a lip before. That shit is NOT cheap. The manufactures make it not cheap so you just get another set of wheels instead.

vzuptnguyen, dude seriously run more aggressive offsets and staggered them. TRUST me. If you go through all of the work and spend all that money on multipeice wheels at least do it right. FWD cars with staggered offsets for more lip in the back is the best way of saying "ya it's FWD but I know what's up".

I still have to email you pics of that black leather stuff. I have to wrap this table at my place in it and i'll let you know how much I have left over.

well, with soeone that likes Rota you might. but not someone that actually personally supports REAL manufacturers that come up with a majority of their own designs. companies liek AME make cheaper wheels that look teh same or remarkably similar to the originals and put a few letters in front of it. there isnt even a name!

Didn't you say you were gonna buy Varianza's? Don't you own VS-XX?

Too bad Work has been copying wheel designs for years.

What looks like the Vienna Courage, AME CX? Hardly. Look at them side by side.
The Work LS105 looks more like the Courage than the CX does.

Seriously, just give up the "AME copies wheel designs" argument.

but i drive a TL and those are actually pretty aggressive offsets for our car. its got a lot of poke and is gonna require about -4 camber.

but if u want more, talk to this guy with a TL. hahah

I vote for the full face style. I think it'll make your TL look bigger and bolder. Whatever you choose, better be aggressive.

ok so a lil dissapointed but also very happy.

i called endless and asked for whats in stock....there isnt much at all for the shallen series. theres like 10 sets.

for the AX all they have is 19x9 +43 hi disk (1.25 inch lip) in silver

they have it in chrome with same specs at +45

offsets are a lot higher than what i planned

as for the CX they are 19x9 +24. im not as much a fan of the CX but those offsets look very appealing. the thing with the CX is they look somewhat similar to the wheels i have already and its too sporty of a look for my taste.

what do u guys think i should do?

i wanted a 19x9 +30 offset which has poke, but will +43 look too weak? also how do u guys think a hi disk AX will look. anyone have pics?

i think a 1.5" lip is =[

I would do the CX. It's still my pick out of those, and apparently has the best fitment.

hi-disk, high offset Shallen AX looks gross on a sleek car imo

i went to the store and there was a confusion over the phone.

which makes me much happier now.

so it was only a pair for the front in stock, and then ill order the rears when i get there for the sale. (which is still a discounted order)

so im run the +43 hi disk up front, then get the super low +30 in the back.

i still cant decided whether to get chrome or diamond cut.

can anyone help by showing my some white cars with chrome wheels, then some with DMC please?

Too bad Work has been copying wheel designs for years.

What looks like the Vienna Courage, AME CX? Hardly. Look at them side by side.
The Work LS105 looks more like the Courage than the CX does.

Seriously, just give up the "AME copies wheel designs" argument.

and what wheels are they copied after?

Mash shit like VSXX dont count

DH shit? doesnt count either,

but newer styles, and ones that arent so spread around that are copied piss me off.

Hey wassup bro. I think AMEs is a nice wheel. I knew some of the wheels were made by Enkei but not all. But too me even the best wheels will bend. It just depends on the tire size and what size pot hole or ditch you drop in. Ive bent Hart wheels numerous times and they were suppose to be good. But i retired that set.

Anyways. vzuptnguyen Im currently running the most offset I have planned to run and I love it. It still rubs from time to time but since you are on air i dont see it too be a problem. Im at 18x8 +36 and 18x9 +38. 215/45 front and 225/40 rear. Its perfect, i used the baseball bat technique and rolled and tugged on the rear to clear. I did have to adjust my camber slightly but not much. You will need the arms in the rear to pull in the top of the wheel in. The front im not running any camber kits. It rubs on a hard bounce but nothing really major.

Ill try and get some picks up soon. But go for it bro. Take that chance and dont settle on something you will not like. dont waste your time buying the wrong offset just because its cheap. Its not worth it man.

i was suppose to pick up a 19x9 set for $800 total... 2 instore were sold at 75% and the 3rd wheel ordered would be 75% as well, then the 4th would have been 60% off...
