I thought Stig was  already revealed.  IIRC, he wrote a book a few years ago.

That was the black Stig, not the white stig.  When he was revealed he was also then let go and the new stig hired.

I wonder how the White Stig will be killed...  Maybe another attempt at a car-based space shuttle? :)
