Not all RUCAs were created equal

So I have had these 240sx RUCAs for about 3 months.  They are the half moon shaped as opposed to the circular ones that you see normally, which I was nervous to put on to start with...

I'll let the pics to the talking.  Q45 weight > 240sx weight, don't forget that.  Note that nothing on the car was damaged and I'm just glad I took it off before it snapped.
The one that looks normal was never installed btw.

Semi-circular RUCAs in general make me nervous. Now I'm even more disturbed.

what brand are those?

they look like battle versions. cusco and megan seam to be a few of the only ones that are full circle.

all s14 are half circle, but they are NOT all equal.  Just look at the small welds holding them on, as apposed to the Cusco's I am putting on the y33.  There is no weld, the design is different...

i found them pretty quick through google. these are a no-name ruca off ebay. by where it bent it just looks to be made of inferior tubing. once again, you get what you pay for...

thats why i did what i did...and only a few people actually know the dopeness :D

I actually bought them from a website called ebstores, which now upon further investigation IS an ebay quality company.  I can not get in touch with them but they were advertised as "Wicked Rear Upper Control Arm Nissan 240SX S14 95 96 97 98" on the web site and on my paypal invoice.  They were not cheap as you might assume, I paid about $150 and now I know I got ripped off.

Not the same ones but yea I know I was overcharged, I guess it's because I bought from their website not ebay.

well regardless, 150 McDoubles are still cheaper than ~300 hotnspicies. all the name brands if i remember right were always within that 300 range.
well, at least you caught it in time. i think its funny how much they resemble the kazama parts.

Putting my old ones back on, I think they were Tanabe?  I only got these in the first place because it was easier to adjust my coilovers.

I have never seen any w/ that extreme of a bend to begin with.  Any quality brand does not have that much of an angle...

yeah, my peak performance ones look like the BV ones posted above. they don't have as huge of a curve

Hoy crap, I think I know what these guys did.  It looks like they made knock-off S13 RUCA's and then instead of copying the S14 RUCA's they just took the S13's and cut of one of the sides????

for our cars , I would recommend NOT getting any RUCA that does not have the entire piece meet and weld flush with both ends. ie
