As some of you know I have posted my 19' Weds Kranze Bazreia for sale ,

I didn't want to let anyone know about what my next set of wheels is going to be .. We have had some inspiring 2gs on the boards .. I wanted to give you a picture of my rear wheels  ... this photo is gonna be about all your going to receive for now.

This is bagged down on Blocks of Alot of study material  ... so weight of car is on it ... 
thus helping me with the idea of full down wont hurt the car

It's more about the fitment! YOu can have a +5 inch lip but if that shit don't fit right then it will jus look retared! 
 
I've seen many members rides who's fitment and small lip size look 1000X better than some of these catz rockin +4 inch lips.........
 
Yea big lips look cool and are crazy but it aint everything and it's not what VIP/VIPstyle is.....to me!

I knew those numbers looked funny, and damn I was going to be close, I was going to say it was a 7.5 inch lip, I looked at the chrome part and you figure the actual lip area is about half and inch so you do some math and you see its like a 7.5 inch lip but its really a 7.75 inch lip, crazy. Anyways I saw your car at the autofashion meet, I think the previous wheels you had are the best wheels you can put on a GS, but hey I can understand you being tired and wanting something new, happens to all of us, ca't wait to see the new set up done

The inner barrel is 3.75 cant count the .5 where the bead will be which totals (4.25 inch) and its 11.5 wide so by 6 inch lip it come out to -50.8 mm and we did the math alot last night .. I can double check tonight but it seems right by my homie is offset guy

The kit will actually help out by the flares on thesides and rear ... I dunno how many other kits will be this agressive .. but I know a new one will be looked at after all this

aug knew , haha but the site threw me off too with these sizes 
 
I believe it was measured from outer lip to outerlip but how 8.5 came ?  its a 10 if done that way
and 22 is printed on the back of the spokes .. but the rear or 3rd piece was changed out with a japanese company

Pretty huge difference ... I know the front of borphies has more lip than the rear of the most current set up

Hey Bippu PxrLex I don't mean to thread jack but outside of freddy at autofashion, who would be a good person to figure out some offset? this question is for anyone out there, I am working on a wide body car and I will need to figure out some offsets and wheel width's soon. Someone in San Diego would be nice, I see your friend shanceC you said can do that, does he have a shop or is it just something he knows? I d like to have someone check my car out soon, the car is not finished so I do not want to drive it to freddy unfinished but I do not want to wait until I m done to order the wheels cause they will take 4-8 weeks.

get the wheels first, then make the car fit the wheels =)

theres a measurement way to do it ...

Lemme see here 

Measure the inner bead . for mine 11.5 , then measure the back of the wheel hub to the back part of the wheels ... have something flat there ... 

then subtract the part where the bead would be for mine .. -.5 so the back spacing of the wheel I had 3.75   then take wheels size 11.5 divide by two ...  5.75 ...  I have 6 inches of lip ... 

Hmmm the rest the friend showed me I will have to call and update .. or someone can chim in and help ...

^ I m saying, how do you measure THE CAR to know what wheels will fit the car, not how to figure out offset on wheels you already have. I know the best thing is to buy the wheels and then fit the car on them, but not everyone takes that approach, its kinda risk if you go too wide and then you have to do too much work to make them fit.

in the way .. I will be adding new holes to the stock arms and I don't know .. facing the same steps as you bro ..

first what kind of car and how much have you flared the rear quarters?

I think that the main concern would be symmetry between the right and left fenders when doing a widebody job without wheels to go by ... if there's nothing to their to reference... how do you guarantee it's done evenly on both sides???

very true .. but when making flares make sure they are identical  prior to tacking them on to the car ,

the wide body started as a wide body kit for another car so it should be even, it was just altered to fit my car. I guess I ll just have to go to autofashion and get some numbers from freddy

i looked for a machinist to do some work for me once and didn't find anyone i was really confident in. machining is ridiculously exspensive for one off and if you do take it to the production level you're gonna need to do a lot more work than "replicate these angles" because of legal issues.

tubular isn't ridiculously exspensive if you have the tools, but by the time you've hacked up some stockers, risked catastrophic failure from welded cast metal, and bought all the tools and materials to make the tubular replicas you could have bought a set [I]and[/I] waited.

don't get me wrong, i'm all about the diy spirit but some things just aren't beneficial.

i went through that process. i caved in and just bought the ikeya and hacked it up because they did not give me the negative camber i wanted.  i tried to ask the company how much camber their ruca would give but they kept telling me depends on height and how they cant tell me and blah balh..  but all in all i bought it and took a shot. and the largest thing about RUCA from IKeya formula is that, they dont clear UAS bags... lots of grinding needed to fit.  so doing it the right way would be custom making some. (just my .02) woot.. GO JAMES !! i wanna see some TUBES!!

actually i was in the process of getting a few sets made (just to sell a few just to keep my out of pocket expenses down). but it was going to be PRETTY EXPENSIVE and thats with a hookup and id still need to get a few dimensions for the guy. all in all it wasnt really worth it for me at the time...came out to be a bigger hassle than i really wanted to deal with.

hey james, if low riders can do it wit there extended front upper a-arms,  we can do it... ur bro has experience with that fleetwood..  shit aint gotta be perfect, u can fine tune it with ur stock camber and toe adjustments to compensate..

well for the front I dont need any adjustments really 

the rear ? hmmm to run the camber shane is running we have to custom make something and or the rear is I extended it out then it still will just kick out the bottom I need the top to come in and tuck .. so that wouldnt work

there are more than just Ikeya Formula, also Nagisa Auto, Mode Parfume, etc etc. But all are pretty big bucks, not sure if there are differences in design though but they all look similar to me

I paid 190.00 to find out that my gas level was broken , I had taken gas out of the tank previously for a show 3 months ago , that day when i took the gas out , It showed .5 tank of gas was still in there , I wondered if there was a reserve tank ?  , I had driven the car to the show mashed the car there to lower the level more , it was little shorter then half a tank . got home , that 100 miles on an empty tank ? and then the problems started happening ... so would have never thought that ...
 
long story short .. the level was broken and the gas was empty. and showed little less than .5 tank. 
 
the tech said I hear the pumps working and tested them , either the spindle is broken because i see gas on the spark plugs , glad to know that the fuel pump was NOT burned out after many attempts , and got my car back working and filled the gas tank up too ,
 
can't believe i have overlooked something so small but it threw so many codes too ,

its funny how we overlook the simplest, smallest stuff which end up solving a big problem. lol. like you said it threw so many codes that it made you go crazy trying to find wth is wrong. 

glad to see you got the car finally running after a long while, now you can finally just focus on getting the wheels fitted to your car.

What does it look like in drive height?  How the handling with that much camber and stretch?

I can actually say that once the toe is corrected and caster too but overall i can say the ride quality is amazing ... you would not expect it at all , when I rode with ShaneC with his ikeya forumla arms i was HELLA suprised ..  rode as nice as my 5 series ... I said SOLD..
 
But with added camber and chopping off an additional 3/4 inch of the arms more for added camber , I'd have to say lemme get this toe and caster fixed prior to me telling your its the worlds best. 
 
I like the ride alot but its squirrely for now ...  and NO AIR LEAKS !!! WOOT !!!!

Yah, the toe looks hella off...toe KILLS tires, not camber.  Camber just dictates WHERE the wear will occur on the tire.  Toe scrubs the tire causing excess friction...hence bye bye tires.

I tuck the front lovely !  and has camber and the rear everything looks great and rides great IMO

yea about that , hmm I noticed the bags slighly rubbed the camber arms ... and John doesn't like to drive .. we have rescheduled ... Maybe pictures on Wednesday ? 

I have taken the camber arms out last night , grinded them down more and reinstalled ...  I can drive long distances now

How'd I do? Pic taken with Canon Xsi, my First DSLR and 2nd day using it.

this is a awesome picture!! and as for your tread.. u just took it to the NEXT NEXT LEVEL!! i had exactly half the tread that touched the ground. u only have 1/3 of the tire touching the floor. I LOVE IT!!!!

Its extreme but not that bad would have to be 5-7 more degrees of camber and to have a useless set of tires lol

The rear is just too much.  Front is sick, just not feeling the rear.

Its understood , when I see the car now It looks normal lol , I am used to the camber now

Btw I received a ticket heading back from a 100+ mile total drive with this set up and towards the end I got popped 

fix it ticket for 

Needing mudflaps 
Amber signals 
front plate 

had it signed off , ;p 

but it was 75.00 in Napa 

I drove the Lexus to work today and seen 4 cops there and back , lucky no one got me .... maybe me want to drive this car less , esp with fix it ticket prices going up from 10 to 25.00 each infraction ,, 

If they wanted to be a dick , I am sure he could have got me for tint , unsafe like shanec and much much more , even curtains

Sucks but luckily you got away.  I wish our tickets were only $25.  $25 is what you get for pissing on a tree lol.

Yea I actually had the camber arms Taken out 5- 6 times fitting over and over again and fenders were done ... 

was a challenge but this set up will go to a good home ;P
