Anyone here affected by the stock market plunge?

My 401K sucks at this point.  For all the potential retirees...they may have to keep working.  SUCKS!

Do you guys think Obama admin will do anything about it? ...and I know...it's Bush's fault.  LMAO.

my business i doing like shit so yess it has affected me a lot.. lot to the point where i might have to sell it and find myself a job thats if i can find one.

Is your business being affected by the sotck market directly, or is it the whole downturn in the economy that is affecting you.

I think this tanking stock market is directly affecting 401K's (if you have it).  I know that I have seen my balance dive in the past few months.

I "HOPE (& CHANGE)" things get better.

I'm still pretty young, so I wasn't heavily invested anything at the time of the crash; my dad's business on the other hand has had to seriously cut back. He hasn't been able to take a paycheck for the last nine weeks.

Oh well, I'm sure we'll all get through this at some point. Gotta maintain.

My 401k is staying where it is at. I wish I could just pull it all out and pop it into an account that has a steady growth rate, or start buying up gold with it....or something.

401k's vary depending on what they are invested into.  As Caoboy has chimed in...

My investments have crapped out.  But our company is busier than ever.  Paychecks arent hurting... Happy I held off buying a new condo a year ago and stuck the money in a cd with fixed interested.....

yeh id say it affected me.i bought a Toyota MR2 turbo last week wednesday,and i got laid off  from work on friday.damn talk about bad timing!oh and i just sold the MR2 yesturday.
