He also has radiused fenders...which is why it doesn't look as odd. But personally It looks too DUB to me...fitment wise.

As long as the car is touching the earth, it's ok in my book. The problem is that people have a hard enough time doing that with 19's or 20's. Serious work is needed to achieve the stance that the red Celsior in that pic has on 22's.

huge props for the guard work and stance on that. As someone said earlier, hard to get the sills so close to the ground with those kinda steam rollers.
Some information on specs and suspention would be nice.

22's for the lose. That Celsior only looks good because the rear fenders are radiused and the car is slammed. Look at the one next to it, it's way lower. The problem with 22's is they don't let you go low, and that's what VIP is about. Maybe you should give DUB a try.

from this side profile the car looks cartoonish which in itself defeats the purpose of luxury. I agree the car is sick and all, hell much props for the hard work the owner must have put in, but the reality is it has no place in this style in most people's eyes, due to the fact that while VIP is multifaceted in nature like a diamond, those facets are there to help it shine not take away from it. If this were allowed to be included it would take away rather than promote.

This style is not subject to opinion. Building cars in general is, but when you're trying to execute a style..execute THAT style. I don't deny that the car is well built, but I wouldn't label it as a vip car. Suspension is only one portion of the style..not the definition (though its' role is critically important).

I like 22's on certain cars that have large fender wells. On cars that the wheels look to scale. When the wheels no longer appear to scale..it's basically a DUB car..plain and simple. So if you want to "do 22's" then don't label your car inappropriately. That is my point. We don't want people getting misconceptions of what something is or isn't. Remember, this isn't our style...we are only emulating it.

The USF40/41 is a bigger car so 21's fit perfect on it. 22's might be okay too. But the UCF30/31 isn't big enough for 22's IMO. VIP is about stance and how well the wheels fit the car. That's why that VIP styled 300C in that other thread looks perfect with 22's. It's a big car with huge wheel wells.

The style IS ever changing..but, it's not driven by one car. This is the 101 section, we need to make sure people that don't understand the style aren't steered the wrong direction from day 1. One car alone does not define the style.

Tracking it on 22s! Rad. I agree that it looks cartoonish though and the wheels actually distract you from the rest of the car.
