Back up AGAIN!
So as some of you know I finally got back up again but this time I changed direction and picked up a 99 GS300.
She still needs some work, mostly in the front but i think its coming together nicely.
A very big thanks to travis, gazi and todd for all the install and parts help.
And thanks to PG motoring for the cool JP stuff :biggthumpup:

I bought the car that way. I swapped over an OEM grill and the rear is debadged. Thats just some residue left on the back from the tape I guess. It said some crap like "bubble boy" or something

The car came with Cheap E-bay LED tail that leaked very badly. Not very VIP! The car will go in for a full detail shortly.

The car honestly doesnt need much more work. I have since fixed MANY of the issues that were major. (Alarm, brakes, battery, wiring, etc)

You need better rims, that's for sure.
Why did you get rid of those fenders?
Does it have a CF hood? Why the need for hood pins?
Are those JP 99 tails? Or just cleared out 99 tails?

Yea i'll be getting some new rims eventually, for now these will have to do.
I got rid of the the vented fenders becuase they were ugly,
It does have a CF hood so thats why I need the hood pins.

As far as boost... I'm still debating... After all the small issues with the SC300 and the amount of time I spent wrenching and troubleshooting I dunno. We'll see how the funds are later. I did love the boost tho I will miss it. lol.
I'm considering picking up another SC300 later on, but something like a 97+ that I can have as a weekend car and use the GS for my low and slow daily driving.

Very nice, coming along proper.
The fenders you had are intersting but they were installed way too high as the lower vent was supposed to be on the lower cladding not the fender itself.
Oh well , atleast it is gone.
I like the tables as well very VIP and much better than half of teh tables i have seen in look and execution.

Well I ended up selling my rims today. So I had to put the car back on some stocks I found laying around at a friends house for now. I must say the car feels so much nicer dropped with the stock wheels, the car feels quicker and the ride is smooooooooooth but not bouncy at all!
I almost wanna keep the stock wheels on there.................
I ordered my new wheels ( mrr hr3 ) I know the offset is a bit weak but they should tuck nicely with some spacers. I've seen them on a GS or two and I think its an awesome looking wheel.
New wheels will be here this week, I will post pics when they are mounted.

Well I ended up selling my rims today. So I had to put the car back on some stocks I found laying around at a friends house for now. I must say the car feels so much nicer dropped with the stock wheels, the car feels quicker and the ride is smooooooooooth but not bouncy at all!
I almost wanna keep the stock wheels on there.................

I definitely like the wheels. I almost ordered them myself.
The new hood pins will definitely clean up the look. Interior is pretty bad ass too. Good work!

This weekend I'm going to adjust the height a little bit and start prepping the front end to fix a few things and paint.
The nose of this car was really starting to bother me... I decided since it was super nice today, get up early and start making a mess.. I have never done autobody work period... I've done a bit of reading in the past and figured this day would come.
I pulled the front apart and started sanding down everything. Shot some primer, filled in tiny chips and holes, I also closed up the hoodpin holes because i need to cut new ones for the aero catches... The bumper still needs a bit of work. I'm going to get a new one but I wanted to mess around. lol.
So far its looking great. I'm hoping by tomorrow we can shoot some black onyx on it. Today is just lots of sanding and priming.
While I had the grill off I took some time to do the DIY Chrome. Looks beautiful now.

Love the wheels... are your 20's? i havent seen a set lower than 20 that are staggered.. i wish i could have gotten them in 20's..instead of 18's.

After this the front end will go in for painting, the interior is going to be pulled entirely so I can fix the audio wiring and alarm wiring. Then I will be ready for winter....
