GOTHAM VIP - Beginning of Summer BBQ 5/17 - NY/NJ/PA/MD

It's getting warm out, lets kick the summer season off right.    

It's the day after HIN, everyone's car should still be clean...

Parking fee: it's $5  (may or may not be in effect)

Directions:

From Routes 4, 46, I-80, I-95: Take the exit for Fort Lee / Palisades Interstate Parkway. Continue straight on Bridge Plaza South past several traffic lights. At the last light ("T" intersection), turn right onto Bigler St. At the stop sign, turn left (east) onto Main St., then keep in the right lane to bear right (south) at River Road. The southern park entrance will be on the left. Follow Henry Hudson Drive about one mile to the Ross Dock circle and follow signs.

From the Palisades Interstate Parkway (southbound): Take the last exit before the George Washington Bridge (Hudson Terrace). Turn left onto Hudson Terrace. Go south and at the second traffic light keep in the left lane to bear right onto Bigler St. At the stop sign, turn left (east) on Main St., then keep in the right lane to bear right (south) at River Road. The southern park entrance (Henry Hudson Drive) will be on the left. Follow Henry Hudson Drive about one mile to the Ross Dock circle and follow signs.

From U.S. Route 9W: At Main St., Fort Lee, turn east (right if headed north, left if headed south). Proceed downhill and bear right (south) at River Rd. The southern park entrance (Henry Hudson Drive) will be on the left. Follow Henry Hudson Drive about one mile to the Ross Dock circle and follow signs.

From Edgewater & South: Take River Rd. north. Near the top of the hill, at the Fort Lee border, is the southern park entrance (Henry Hudson Drive) on the right. Follow Henry Hudson Drive about one mile to the Ross Dock circle and follow signs.

From New York City: Take the upper level of the George Washington Bridge to the first Fort Lee exit. Bear right and proceed down the ramp to the traffic light. Proceed south (right turn) to the second traffic light, then keep in the left lane to bear right onto Bigler St. At the stop sign, turn left (east) on Main St., then keep in the right lane to bear right (south) at River Road. The southern park entrance (Henry Hudson Drive) will be on the left. Follow Henry Hudson Drive about one mile to the Ross Dock circle and follow signs.

Alternative Access (cars only, no trailers): Follow directions to the Englewood Picnic Area. The Ross Dock circle is one mile south of the Englewood Area on Henry Hudson Drive.

Burgers/Hot Dogs/Buns/Sodas will be provided, you want to bring anything else, you are more than welcome.

Bump.  Only one more week.  60 + cars are expected to show.  If you are considering comming, please let us know since we have to buy everything in advance.  We have people comming from Maryland all the way to Mass. and almost every state in between.  It should be a lot of fun

How long are you all gonna be out there? I get off of work at 7p on Sundays.

The list is close to 70 cars right now if we count people who are not on message forums.  There will be cars from 10 different states in attendance.  Should be crazy

I've stopped updating the list.   Lets just say that you probably will not want to get there late.  
For all those offering to bring something.  
We've got the basics covered but if coming empty handed bothers you (rare these days, lol), more burgers, bun or sodas can never be bad.
Don't know who did the boxes of coffee last time but it may be a good idea.  Looks like the temps will be in the upper 60's for Sun but with us being near the water, expect it to be a little nippy with the wind.

damn, I can probably show up, but can stay very long.  hope all you guys get there so I can check the rides

I would like to thank everyone for comming down.  The meet was a huge sucess.  At one point, we ran out of parking spaces thats how packed it was.  I have to give props to all those that came from Maryland, Boston MA, PA, and every where else.

Most likely. We never had more then 2-3 vip styled cars and a few others with rims, at the same place and same time. What we had yesterday was insane and exceeded what everyone expected. 
 
Events like the one we had on Sunday costs money and takes time to arrange. Without proper promotion, people won't show up. The out of state guys had to plan in advance. It wouldn't be fair to those guys to have another BBQ too soon. We will have a few small get togethers every month but a BBQ will have to wait a few months atleast.

wasup, need to plan another meet b4 the end of summer.. I had a blast! the worst part was the ride. on ny f***ed up roads.
