Here it is... allllllllllll custom.. from the MX73 rear independent suspension to the front being completely redesigned. 2600 series bags in the front 2800 bags in the rear. 1JZ-GTE running the stock twins at 1 bar of boost, R154 trans. etc etc etc...
It lays out floorboards, pinch welds, and crossmembers.... full stainless exhaust that is 2Inch tandem all the way back so I can get it as low as possible.
here are some pics.

I love the overall concept, just that some of the exhaust and intake piping is pretty poor. I think a little work done on the piping would make that car perfect.

Thanks for the comments everyone..
You see, the cool thing about this wagon is that everyone has their own two cents almost all the time that they wish to put in. Keep in mind that there are three main styles that this car incorporates (old school JGTC style (as well as a little boso in the mix), rat style, and down-low style.)
JGTC and Yankee go almost hand in hand... since both rock the exposed oil coolers, and usually the fendermounts.
Rat is obviously the paint style, which is perfectly aged to perfection.
Down low style... because shit, its almost tuckin lugnuts in the back... haha.
I have thought about painting it, but I decided to leave it like this for now.
The car is a really rare, less than a year production, 1973 Toyota Mark II.. its pretty much like a chaser or cressida, cresta, or hence MarkII.

Please don't. It'd ruin the patina of the aged paint, and just won't have the same feel to it.

I hate Rat style. It's a very very pointless "mod" if you can even call it that. If you want that kind of look, there's plenty of them at the junkyard or right here in Jakarta among the millions of rickety of taxicabs from the 70s.
Having said that, I think a fresh coat of paint in candy rootbeer brown, a full chromed retrim of the bumpers and the window jambs. Even flat black with murdered out headlights and taillamps would have made it decent. The rusted fenders and the curbed lips of your wheels just take away all the other mods....I can't even see the beautiful engine bay, coz I can't take my eyes off the rust! (oh wait, unless that's the whole point of Rat style)

I love the wagons, painted or not, it just has so much character. If I had one I'd eventually add a fresh coat of paint, but to the orginal color just to keep it vintage but fresh.
