NEW to the Q45 touring

hey vip people im new to this game and i am in need of info but first let me tell you my story.
i was a rx7 junkie since i got my license.crashed 1, 1 got stolen and never seen it again and the last 1 i sold to save up for a Q.
here is my last rx 7

after i sold that car i loooked and looked but couldnt find anything worth buyiing intill i found this.saw in the repairables same day went saw the milege and bought it.

all said and done 3 weeks of searching and finaly finding headlights and a hood grill ac condensor,fan and after a good cleaning plus complete detail.

and there she is.1st day i picked her up.an edtion lights.i love her even with the cam phone pics it looks good.well i still have a long way rims air maybe.dont know ,new to the game like i said.but iim loving it.
total cost of car 3500 
lights 750 everything included.
paint and everything else total 3100.

2000 q45t black,light tan leather, everything works and it has 49k with 1 other owner.
 
so give me your thoughts and opinions.im new and looking for some help.i hope to get a Real cam and get some good pics on here once im done with some more things.hows she look?

Welcome.  Lots of new Q45 Y33 owners in the tristate area.  These cars are beautiful.

Welcome, man thats a steal 2000 Q45t with only 49k on the engine.

you have got a great starting platform. Check out the photo section and see what some other members are doing to this kind of car and go from there. You have limitless possibilities, and remember, this kind of car can take some deep deep dish rims with a little fender work.

Nice, thats a major steal. Was the engine running smooth when you got it?

And a lil note, if you want to swap trunks to the 97-99 im more then willing to trade =].

I also have a black Q45t with wing option like your q45t but for a 98 so it has the full trunk lights.

sorry bro but im keeping the rear lights i like em.
 
and for the engine when i got there the 1st time i saw it.the guy jumped it and it started right up quiet and smooth.so i bought it on the spot.changed all the belts and flushed evertyhing oil change etc.runs like it came out the dealer yesterday

Thats good to hear.  If you treat these cars right, they last forever.
 
Do you work at Beachbum tanning?  If so which one?

Nice car and great pick up.  I thought the Ann. Edition lights came with the Xenon and Black housing though???  Thats what I have at least?

^ true but if you read the whole thread you would see that he got it with the headlights and a few things damaged or missing so had to buy replacements.  The Xenon Black housing headlights wont be found in a junk yard and are alot of money from the dealer

^ I read that as he picked it up with ANN.Edition headlights, and then that the pic shown from the camera phone was on the day he picked it up thats all....

Nice pickup and good work bringing it back to good condition!  I've had mine 4 years now and love it.  Although, with how I drive, I get about 13 MPG, but thankfully I don't drive it very far. But they're extremely well built, reliable cars and if you take care of it, it will last a very long time.  I have a couple sets of Teins for Y33 Q's if you are interested, ready to ship.

when i bought it .it had no lights.dealer wants like 800 a light for the touring edition with a discount that i get too.so i looked and looked ,found a touring set for 950 but when i called back later that day they were gone.then i called and emailed all over these find parts sitees and came across ann etion light for 750 bulbs hid boxes and everything.the guy claimed they were from a 2000 ann edtion limted.he sent me some pics they were mmint like u see int he pics so i bought them...bammthe touring model and some ann edtion light come with the black housing not all.thanks again for your thoughts on my Q...

thanks for the comments on my car....so for the teins will my ride change alot. i was planning on going air UAS. one i get my tax return.have any comments on what i should do...how low are teins and how will it afect my ride?

Tein's lower it about 2", ride is firmer than stock.  My sig pic is my car, been on those springs 4 years this August.

I've never really been a fan of the Cima/Q45 (97-01). But yours looks VERY nice. I really like it. 49k miles? Dude, you can easily stretch that to 149k easy. These are great cars. I have a 92 Q45 (G50) that I'm planning to convert to a President. I got it at 83k, January of '07. 

How long did your paint job take? Was it like a one day affair?

it was about a 3 day job....

Actually, you can stretch that way past even 149k miles!  The Infiniti Tech who works on my Q told me they have one they service at the dealership with 500k on the original motor!  That's really, really good, he said they've gone through 3 trannys, but still on the original motor. These VH series V8's are soooooo smooth, I love it, and on synthetic oil t's even smoother.

Wow. That's quite a stretch. One guy I know has his original VH45DE and has about 325k miles on it. Original injectors and all.

wow nice that car looks just like mine almost the same hit and same milage 48k but mine is white ill show you my pics as soon as i get the car from body shop

well when i had my y33 (:yahoo_12:) i dropped her on s14 eibach springs. Rode a bit rough at times but looked hella clean on the freeway and when she was parked. excellent find man. good luck

thx alot..i wat to go lower but i need some camber rucas so i can tuck wheels in rear.otherwise it will rubb.

And toe arms, you need both so you don't eat throough tires... looks good!
