Wagon R

Been wanting to do a Suzuki Wagon R for the longest time and finally got the chance to pick one up. No decent wheels yet, first thing done was body kit and air suspension, then I already ran into a problem. The Wagon R I got is 4WD. Solid rear axle with no way to do camber... Without camber the widest I can run is 7J +42. Not going to cut it for this project! So... the plan for now is to get a 2WD camber axle! I don't know how easy it will be to get rid of the 4WD but by the looks of it just a few bolts stand in my way.
Sorry I don't have decent wheels but I hope to have the camber figured out and wheels on it by the end of the summer. I thought I would post up some pics since I always check out other peoples builds and never post pics of my own.

Trying to go lower and wider than my last build, a scion xB.
This is were I am now.

Love it! Rear axle plans sound pretty insane, but it sounds feasible. Gotta get you some of that crazy 15deg broken axle look that they always do with the kei cars there....

Thanks guys!

I got back to Japan about 2 months ago and started right away trying to find a Wagon R! The problem with the Wagon R is on top of having the different chassis codes, CT or MC like i have or MH they have different grades like FM, FT or FX. It got confusing and I should have learned more about it before I bought the car but now I know...
I am gonna try for around -6 or -8 camber for now because this is my daily driver. Once my wife gets a car I can park this and go for broke(en axle club)! I don't think I can afford digi-can or J-Line for that matter... Too expensive.

Thanks Dom and especially Scotty for helping me so far with it!
Will hopefully update soon!

lol, 6-8 degrees camber is pretty extreme to most people here.... Cant wait to see how it turns out.

And i am so jealous of you being in Japan....

Got my wheels, tires and camber axle today! Didn't try test fitting because I still need rear brakes and front camber. Hopefully will have that stuff in a week or 2. Then it will be to the body shop, because I don't think these wheels will fit with even -6 camber.

that's going to look sick. Regarding the camber, can't you get shims to push them out?

My model is 4WD and with the 4WD solid rear axle you can't put camber because of the splines. I could have bought a regular 2WD axle and camber plates but it was just cheaper to buy a used camber axle! Thanks!

Thanks man! Ya, after I sold the xB I kinda just focused on school for a while so I could finish up. The good thing is I am here for at least 1 year, that is how long my VISA is for now. I like the company I am with now and I might stay longer.
Where are you going to study abroad at? I have friends at Aoyama Gakuin and Temple in Tokyo and Kansai Gaidai in Osaka so I will probably visit them sometime, would like to hang out if you have some time between studying! Hit me up anytime!

Will definitely keep you and everyone updated.
