tire brand? lil help please

i had a set of federals 245/25/19 on my 19x10's but after a long while dew to the streach my side walls split :-( i really like them but now they r discontinued. i dont care to spend to much just cause i have major negative camber and i go threw tires so no sence in spending a grip. i found some NANKANG tires for $108ech. thinking bout picking them up but woundering if anyone has used them or how they streached? any feedback would b awsome thanks VSC:biggthumpup:

federals are cheap tires.. I use them on my s-chassis.. Falken FK452s on my ucf20.. But camber wear is annoying.. No experience with the nankangs. I want to try those nittos neo gens out.. [url]http://www.nittotire.com/#index.tire.neogen[/url]

Get the nankang NS2s. Cheap but kinda noisy. Didnt bubble or split with the pair I had. Federals I had split. Falken fk452s bubbled. The NS2s I had were good until I ran it all the way til it made a hole.

^ Really the fk452s bubbled? What do you mean by that? I've only seen that when the tire receives some blunt trama haha.. Went thru several sets recently and havent had any issues other than stupid camber wear.

1- NO tire (by [B]any[/B] company) is MADE to stretch, no matter what people claim. However, sum will streeeetch better than others.  =)
2- if you run any stretched tire under-inflated, it will ruin the side wall and bubble over time
3- Be cautions when/if buying [U]used[/U] tires. U dont know how the tires were treated. (see #2)

After having FK452s bubble on me again and again, I went with Nankang NS2. They are cheap and stretch well. They run small too so the stretch is nice compared to fat tires like FK452s and Federal.

I have federals now and have had good luck.  I'll have to try the nankang next go around.

ive had my general tires for awhile and never had a problem with spliting or bubbles but then again the camber kills them quick.

Im using nankangs on my lexus & no problems almost a year now PSI at 50. and just stretched some hankooks on my odyssey looks nice well see on these. Ill keep buying these cheap tires too.

I've had GREAT luck with the Toyo Proxes 4.

They stretch pretty well, too. Quiet, ride well, and have great wear characteristics.

I put these on my brother's JZS 147, my JZS 161, and also on my NSX. I run the Toyo T1-R on my MR2 and the Proxes S/T on the Odyssey. Love all of these tires, but the T1-Rs get noisy pretty quickly. The Proxes 4 wear much better, ride A LOT better, and a a fair amount cheaper.

I have friends who work at Falken and I like the FK-452... it's just that they don't stretch much and the sizes seem to run wide, particularly in the 20" and 21" stuff. 255/30-21 FK-452 fit basically square/flush on the 21x9.5" front wheels I built...

what about Yoko s-drives ? fairly cheap .. cheaper than 452's or T1R's

i just look at what a lot of the japanese cars are running (bu reading their sidewalls etc in photos lol) and a lot of them are on the cheapies too, Nankang & Nexens. i guess cause theyre made from hard cheap rubber they hold up well without splitting or bubbling, but of course the down side is the noise.

riding on 225,35,20 on a 20x9 and 245 35 20 on a 20x10 really nice stretch it is a bit noisey but I am dropped and have -3 degrees camber in the rear and just put the radio up to volume 5 and I dont hear it. NANKANGS are your best bet cause if anything ever happens wont cost much to replace. :biggthumpup:
