Hittin up NY and Canada

For those of you who have been to these places and/or currently living there, give me suggestions on what to see, visit, or eat at.

I've been to NY but didn't get to see everything. I visited ground zero, downtown manhattan, chinatown, little italy, brooklyn bridge, that one "port" on the other side of brooklyn bridge, central park, century 21, some little restaurant called jeckle & hyde.

Ive never been to Canada but I will be visiting Niagra Falls, driving from NYC and then from Niagara Falls to Chinatown in toronto. Is there a must see place in these areas? what about restaurants? any place to see hot canadian ladies?? :dance:

I always like to just oam in NYC. You'll always find something cool.

Richmond street between University and Peter is he club district. Lots of women. (under 25)
King street west of Peter has an older crowd (25+).
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and the Art Gallery (AGO) are always cool.

Go to MuchMusic and shout out VSC on TV!

Kensington Market is pretty cool:
Between Dundas and College, west of Spadina Ave. If you're taking the TTC: Get off at Queen's Park Station, then take a streetcar westbound. Taxi drivers and locals can point you in the right direction.

NYC is best when you just roam around. Seriously, it is the most awesome place in the world. Anything you can possibly think of, they have there. Madaam trusels wax muesum is great. They got thousands of life like wax figures. Its about $40 to get in though. There are Broadway plays (I never been to one but some people like that stuff). 5 ave is where all the celebrities go shopping. The night life is insane. You could go out to a different bar or club for 6 months straight and not even visit them all!

My advice, just have fun

im 31 and going with coworkers, whose age range is btw 24-40. I just like to eat and see things I normally do not see in texas. my main thing to do in canada is to eat exotic asian fruits.

Well for fruits china town is simple as you can walk and buy on the street as you like.
The co workers might like to get a city pass $50 and you can go to the zoo ( boring) , casa loma , Royal Ontario museum and the cn tower and something else which is dirt cheap.

Other wise Canada's wonderland might be fun for a day out.

how far is niagra falls to chinatown? also, if im driving, you guys go by kilometers right? so should i expect to do some mental math by converting miles, which im use to here in the states, to kilometers?

Ya, that's without traffic. Do NOT leave the falls at 4pm on a weekday and expect to get to downtown Toronto in any less than 2-3 hours.

60mph=100kmh. Do 70mph on the highway and you'll be left alone.

The Markham area is nice. There are many different "food Groups" there. Asian, German, ect! Oh they have toll roads that are not totally clearly marked, they take pictures of you licence plate and they send you a bill in the mail. The toll roads are the best way to go most of the time durring high traffic times.

1000 islands is just a bunch of island but it is where the salad dressing came from .
We only have 1 toll road ( the 407 hwy) and it is easy as hell to see as it says toll road at the exit on all sign boards.

If you want ideas , pm me and i;ll give you my number for some better ideas when you are here as well as directions.

okay well im back home and freaking 1000 islands was just, as you said, 1000 islands with nice homes built on them. Other than that, there really was nothing to see.

I didn't get to cross to canada, even after i had my sis overnight my passport costing 35 bucks. I really wanted to go into canada but the closest i got to canada was near the border on the 1000 island tour and niagara falls. niagara falls was so awsome.. I wanted to rent a car or taxi and drive over into canada to hit up the casinos!! FAWK!!

ONE DAY, CANADA...ONE DAY.. :(

The irony of Niagara falls is the American side is the better looking one but it can only be seen from the Canadian side.

Looks like you had fun. I dont remember any of those statues in the wax measeum. They change them up every few months. My guess is because perverts like to dry hump them
