edmonds, washington

so im planning to move up there .. 
 
Ive seen a few dope rides that come out of washington . 
 
my question is in the winter how do you guys that are lowered drive your cars 
in the snow? 
 
raise it back up with stock winter tires?
 
or do you have other dailys for the winter? 
 
I ask this bc I dont want my car to rust on the bottom because of the salt that is put on the street..

or seattle? either way ill be around that are..

We don't salt streets and there is typically snow on the ground 2-3 days a year, last year was a freak year and it was a total of like 6 days, some people run "winter wheels" but almost no one changes ride height for the winter unless they are snowboard or skiers

So I dont have to wrry about rust as much as i thought i would?
 
either way im probly gonna go bags on the car. 
but im also gonna get a truck or subie wangon for winter.

yeah, the winters are pretty mild up here...even thio the state is pretty lazy about snow clean up, its nothing major to worry about.  :)

in edmonds it so close to the water the snow doesnt stick. we dont salt the roads. its pretty mild up here.

just noticed this thread.  
so as others have said we have mild winters and it is not salted unless it gets really bad.. it was salted once last year in downtown.  
a lot of people either have a daily or just have winter wheels.  i just picked up a daily this year so this will be my first time not driving the lex in the snow. (thank god)
edmonds is a nice area and compared to cali or texas you dont have to drive for hours to get somewhere everything is relatively close.  but edmonds is about 45 minutes away from downtown.

Hope you enjoy your visit.  You will probably see some, but not a whole lot of sick rides.  And since its that time of yr, where everyone either hibernates there rides, put stockie winters on or just drive there DD's.  You probably wont see that many.

I am on bags, so that I could drive my IS up to the pass for snowboarding.  But I will soon be parting her out and going back to stock.

and a slammed EK pretty clean but its raining ... and damm ya'll werent kiddin about the hills its gonna suck on a car thats stick!!

i drive low cars all the time, my ls is tuckin rim on coils all around and i daily drive it

just got back ... its really nice out there I liked it!
 
looked at a few places... now its just up to the wife .. if everything goes well should be out there in less then 2months...

Hey Mr. J, glad you like the northwest. :) I'm originally from Hawaii and actually like it here. But as far as shops go for swaps and stuff. There are a couple that i'd take my car to. I've been to pretty much every shop that I can think of. Depends on what you're trying to build. The VIP/exe scene is starting to catch on slowly, there's a small but growing population of enthusiasts. And yes there are some sick vip styled cars out here, but you'll mostly catch them at meets and shows. lol. I'm trying to get my LS to "decent" status right now. hahaha. But anyways, I live in Lynnwood so don't hesitate to hit me up and i'm sure we could gather some people together to welcome ya. :D

well I usually do all my work to my cars. 
I cant weld so thats the only stuff I really need done to some of my cars.

house's are small compared to vegas house's and more expensive... 
 
The house my parents got is twice as big and was less expensive.. and its a gated.. 
 
so im still searching.

Remember Vegas was hit harder by the recession so alot more houses that are cheaper there than in Washington state.

I was lookin at this 5500 sq.ft house (vegas) that was around $1.2mil now its goin for $300k on the market no auction or anything i was like dayum!! nice house too pool,granite looks like the old owners put money into it. 
 
only good looking house ive found in washington are in mercer island.

Start searching further south sound. More like Renton, Auburn, Kent area's. The further north, higher the prices. Or find a quick sale/repo'd house. You might wait for a bit, but it could be well worth it. Well, for the price range your looking for that is

no south i wanna be up north..
