jic coilover help ls430 - 460

im wondering what is the difference between the coilovers for the ls430 and ls 460 my brother has a set for his 460 that he is not used because he sold the car. and im looking for colovers for my 430. i know they have the fork on the 460 and ball type on the 430 could i just buy the bottom part from jic and make it work?  the spring rates are pretty close.

someone told me the actual shock bodies height is different anyone know how much this might just mean a little less drop or more drop depending
