The fins remind me of the Wedsport Fins 16x8 I used to have on my s13 way back when. I had a few sets before getting interested in VIPcars. The outers are chrome, the centers are "Technical Brushed." That is, the sides of the spokes are hand mirror polished and the faces are then machine brushed. The centers are then protected with a ceramic clear coat. They're a new brand.... can't let the cat out of the bag just yet.

Very rare...mine came with black Rays valve stems and gold stickers..

Wow!!' speechless!!
I was just at B. Gormans house because I had an emergency with my Scaras...the lip was cracked...and it would take a few days to a week at least to weld n fix it..and i needed to go to Chicago for wekfest...since I had some extra scaras laying around that couldnt be used...I took the lip from the spare and added it to the inner barrel of the damaged rim...since the scaras are welded 3 piece...he had to cut and both wheels and put the pieces together...I swear to you watching this guy do work..first hand in person is pretty amazing...all his stuff is local so wheels do not need to be sent out...he does and plans everything on his own...I went to the machine shop he uses...and its just a lil machine shop but man they made everything happen...the guy is very talented and I assure you if he is the one building your wheels..you are well taken care of!...he did me this favor since i basically begged him...I am def. sending my wheels in a few months to get some new barrels...I am hoping he can post his pictures when he built me some wheels...i now have 3 pc sealed scaras instead of 3 pc welded...

It's not always easy to get the parts needed for these rebuilds, and this biggest headache I deal with is time (mfg's taking too long to custom roll certain parts for me). Chrome is another time issue I have run into lately (especially here on the east coast). Since I get raw custom parts from the mfg, I have to have them chromed also (when a customer specifies this finish), and since I like to keep a handle on my QC, I will only deal with shops that are within driving distance fro me. Also, since there are so few shops here on the east coast....they are usually backed up with work and have longer turnaround times! As I always say...I'm not the fastest or the cheapest....but by the grace of GOD...I'm pretty good at what I do!!! Plus I'm pretty cool to hang out with too..LOL,LOL,LOL!!!:dance:
