Accord '06

Hi guys, just got my Stock Honda Accord/Inspire '06 like 3 weeks ago. thinking of hooking up a 18" x 8.0. According to the mechanic he said fitting up rims having offset 9.0 will give me problem on my car. Guys can you give me some advise ?

9" is the width... Offset is a number that is usually from -20 ~ +50.

Of course he will say that it doesnt fit, he isnt into modifying vip style. Nobody would believe me when i said i could fit 18x10 with +5 offset on my car, but i did. You just need to roll the fenders flat and camber a bit more.

Having said that, you only just got the car... And in Malaysia i bet that car costs something like RM200,000 right? I wouldnt want to modify my fenders if i had just paid that much!

the offest is from the center of the wheel out. meaning - offest meaning from the center out and + offest from the center of the wheel going in. 

I would change mechanics for this particular job if he mistakes width for offset...I doubt you'll get very far without a lot of explaining.
