How do i like bold world?
I dont.
its soft, its plush, rebound is fantastic, so it doesnt bounce at all. but its just not stiff enough at low levels.
Luckilly, the suspension will stop before i plow into the ground, so whatever. i still prefer the UAS on coils method for adjustability reasons. which if you got the one leve up from what i have, it is basically a coil with a bag.
I deided against UAS because the bracket setup in teh rear would have been a PITA, and there was no way around it. plus i got my bold world at a crack dealer price.
So verdict?
drive decently low, and park lower its great. if you need tons of suspension travel its great too. it goes higher than OEM for sure. tucks 17s up to the rim in teh rear, and tire in the front on my car.
i will end up mounting the tophats on TOP of hte strut tower to get even lower. gotta do whatcha gotta do.
but overall its a pretty comfy ride. so if thats what you want, then its good to go

I still think coilovers are always gonna be the better answer. And once cups become a reasonable price, air will be obsolete.

What I want to know is how would you revalve struts to work with a UAS style bag?Thats my whole question with air. Cuz its always too soft.

buy a coilover that can be revalved locally and easilly
IE ohlins, koni etc
talk to a local race shop, ask what they are able to rebuild.

well I have struts that are already valved 18k front 16k rear..But putting bags on them is not gonna blow them to shit? I asked UAS the same question and they couldnt give me an answer. The closest thing I got to an answer is,"A bags rate fluctuates with the amount of pressure that is in the bag".

install the UAs
find a PSI that you like to drive at
go to a race shop that can measure spring rates. pump the bag up with a schrader valve and have them measure it up and comapre it to a spring rate. now the actual physics of the bag are different but whatever, it will still work for the most part. then valve it according to that

ok lol. I really don't think anyone has a definite answer when it comes to this issue. Because if it was as easy as re-valving the struts to be stiff enough for the bags, someone would have done it already.
Because from my understand, if you get a strut that is valved for a 10k spring, you can go from a range of 8-12k on the strut.
Now if you throw a 20k spring on that strut, its going to blow the seals to shit.
I know you know this already so I don't think i need to explain it, I just cant see the logic in not knowing what the bags rate is compared to a spring.

the reason is becuase unless you have a predetermined PSI you are going ot run at, there is no equivalent theoretical KG of the bag. If you run the bag at say 100psi, it could be more equal to a 25k spring vs at 80 where its an 18k vs 50 where its a 10k
unless you have a spring machine to test it with, its just variables in a long neverending puzzle.
the reason it hasnt been done is noone wants to do it. i seem to be the only one that wants to, and i dont have the facilities to test stuff. Plus hte fact that all said and done it could be upwards of r4-5k to do it right with new parts.

all the air cups i have seen are 2 inches or less
which isnt enough to even clear most speedbumps when you are super lows
