When I first bought the car I had no idea how difficult and expensive it was to get parts for this car. Thanks to phillygs3 and sean @ luxury bippu style.

Yeah i know it definitely needs to go lower just got springs for the time being while I save for airbags. Hopefully by mid spring.

Thanks bro, I appreciate it. Everyone is telling me to cut the springs but I'm just going to wait it out for the time being till I get bags. I prefer ride comfort over looks.

thanks Rob, i appreciate it bro.

I would love to cut the fronts to get them even with the rear, I just don't want it to ride like crap. I just need an inch more off the front and I'm good.

I had my Tein's over 5 years, I cut them 2 years ago and it rides no different than before. Just cut 'em ;) Nice ride, love that body.

Maybe I'll reconsider? Hmmm. Front springs are literally 5 spaced out coils. Probably would cut half coils at a time

i wouldn't cut a spring personally but if you are going to make sure they are linear rate and not progressive.

love those beils.

Getting mixed responses on cutting the springs. My main concern is. Will it still ride nice or bounce like a Honda?

just realized there was a pic in the thread. you could cut the dead coil for sure. only side effect will be less damper travel.

You could cut your stocks first and see how it rides then either cut the new ones or just leave the cut old ones in.

Shaolin, so long as your spring rate is high, you can cut one coil out and even out front and back. Please refer to my build thread for pics of how my car sat after i cut the spring.

The only downside to this is that depending on the way the springs are made, once the bottom coil is cut, you will have to spot weld a small plate to retain the spring on the bottom perch of the spindle to stop it from spinning or coming dislodged. Go for it!

otherwise, your car looks great with the beils..would def like to see it lower

^^ i did not waste any money doing a slight drop cus its a waste of time in my OP ... i went all the way with the full suspension cus you will be happy for a few days until u park beside a slammed car .. then u say ..shit that thing looks super fly ..

Cut a coil off the front. Dropped it 3/4 of an inch. Pics will be up shortly. No more 2 finger gap in the front.

Oh nice! How is the ride? Were you able to cut them right on the car?

I am thinking of cutting my front JP springs on my F50 as well because of the fender gap in the front.
