If I remember correctly, the one-piece headlights on the UCF1x were JDM-only

They are JDM only, you'll have to use USDM headlights for the DOT inspection, then put the JDM headlights on.

The JDM ones are H4 by the way, and depending on what year LS you have, you'll either have 9004 or H4 bulbs, if you ahve 9004 you'll need to swap the connectors to H4 as 9004 are oval shaped.

Grrrr

I didnt want to hear that. Where i am from they are really strict with it saying DOT. So if i get pulled over i could be forced to get another inspection done.

Do you really think that if you get pulled over, the officer is going to know your lights are different?

As long as you aren't driving around glaring people with an HID kit, I think you'll be ok. Besides, it takes like 5 minutes to swap out the headlights.

But these are headlights...not markers/blinkers/corners.

The only other thing you can try, is to see if you can swap the bowls to the DOT ones.

I don't know if your country would 'allow' that. Technically you'd have the DOT approve light emitting bowls, but in a one piece housing. The glass fluting would be different though.

How do people get away with JDM cars if your police are so hard on mods?

I know there are quite a few canadian posters, i'd try pm'ing those who own celsiors and see what they say.

Headlights need to be DOT in canada, If they are not they are simply illegal passed by some shady shop.

Its not the police so hard on mods, its the insurance company (only 1 in sask) and they do stop checks and everything.

I can see what you are saying...do they do a light inspection like making sure it is aligned properly? Or do they just check for a dot stamp on the light?
