front license plate mod

i noticed a popular thing to do in japan is to have the front plate sitting at an angle. how do they got about doing this?

i believe most of them use a special angled plate bracket, but i'm sure the look could be achieved with a simple homemade bracket.

they have brackets that are adjustable in japan i believe why they have them slated like that is so the camaras don't get there lisence plate numbers.

thanks guys for the info. yea, i was guessing it could probably be homemade with some brackets from home depot.

My front plate had never been mounted, so my front bumper is nice and clean with no holes. I mounted my plate with long bolts and metal brackets, it slants down and sits real low, looks clean and can't get me pulled over.

My car also want DIY this number plate blacket :P

be creative and make it clean all I used was a couple of L brackets and some longer bolts and made a nice slant like that,,, ;D

Haha...today i find it the license plate blacket from a Japan recond car.

Dunno if this is of much help, but I've saw this on sale at one of the 'HalfCut Shops' in KL. It's actually a flexible arm that you can twist around to get the angle you like.

I'd guess it's available for sale in Japan coz the packaging I saw is all written in Japanese...

I heard you can get something similar from Autozone.
