Well, I finally decided to be nice and make a video showing how a car with hydraulic suspension actually "rides" per se. I get PMs and emails all the time from people asking me about the ride. Let this be a stereotype-breaker.

It depends on what you're looking to get out of it. The pressure inside the accumulators is adjustable, so you can make it as stiff or as soft as you like. I can ride tucking rim no problem, but I don't go hauling ass around corners like that. VIP is all about low and slow anyway, right? =)

It looks like a plush ride. but seem way to soft. and like it would have lots of body roll. looks cool if your cruising and not speeding.
Any faster that thing woulda scraped after the speed bump, thats a great vid though i never seen accums. in action. It definetly looks much different then the lolos i see around that drive locked up and the only travel comes from the 13" tires. If you say it could be less soft i wouldnt see why anyone would not want it!

if its adjustable im pretty sure it can be dialed in

Those are two different clips and not the same one just slowed down...
While i'm sure this appeals to alot of people on here; thats exactly the opposite of what i'd want on my car. Ride low, ride bumpy. The fact that i can turn agressively without chewing my fenders is what makes me love coilovers (not that i ever do, but its an option!)

That's cool I guess. I baby my car, so I cringe when my front bumper scrapes... I'll just have to make a vid so you guys believe that you can drive low just fine. I drove a good amount miles today tucking from Fullerton to Irvine (getting new tires next week so I don't give a shit) and it rubbed not once, yet I was tucking rim in the rear.
I just wanna see the difference between a soft ride and a stiff ride in regards to hydraulics. The soft ride looks to be very plush but wouldn't be the greatest idea if you wanna ride low.

It's stiffer as you drive lower.
Can you get a video of a good driving height but with a comparable to stock rebound and not super soft as the first video?

I'm interested in seeing a video of a car riding lower, maybe with the accumulators adjusted for a stiffer ride too. That looks [I]very[/I] comfortable for those who ride high, but that particular kind of softness would have annihilated the underbody and wheel arches of my Protege after one drive around the block.

I would rather tuck rim than be super flush personally...

Lets let this thread, be what it is.... seems like a back and forth battle.. the video came out nice, I see alot of shock travel but would be interested in seeing it drive lower and stiff aswell.
to mee it just looks like it has blown shocks:) im a fan of hydros, but on lowriders and oldschool cars. personally i would get airbags. but if you want to be different then hydros is the right choice! but big ups for doin hydros, its different and i dont hate it:)
