Consolidated Tire Stretch Thread!

It would be nice for reference purposes to have a thread dedicated to tire stretch. Not fitment, offset, or anything else - just pure STRETCH!

I'll start this off with some posts from other threads:

Ok so I came across some used 19" tires..$70 for both installed and they had about 60% tread left on them...either way alls I need is the edge of the tires anyways.. :D so I picked them up to help the decision process. 
So the first tires I will discuss are the Falken 451 in a 245/35/19..It seems like these tires run a lot smaller than the Dunlops in the exact same size...Boy I love the strech and they will give me the clearance I need to drop the car lower....here are some pics....

Now the second tire I will discuss are the BFG G-Force...in a 245/35/19...these tires seem to run bigger wider than the 451 by far and perhaps the same as the Dunlops if not a tad bit bigger..Tread pattern is cool but I also think that I would rather have a directional tread design than these..Just doesnt flow well with the style of car for some reason maybe its just me. I only have two pics because you can deff tell the difference and these wont be on my list..but I thought I would share the info anyway as these are sopposed to be really good wearing tires..but once again I only need the corners do to -camber..here is a pic..perhaps a 235/35/19 would do the trick....for size comparrison.

I was going to by these brand new but I have a thing about mix matching tires but I can live with it for $70 for the pair installed. depending how long these rears last hopefully by the time my fronts wear out the rears will be ready as well...I have a feeling though that the rears will wear faster than the fronts anyways cuase of the - camber the fronts still look new.. Anyways once my fronts wear out as well I will be replacing all four tires with the Falkens 451's ..I really like the strech and I will be able to use my 20mm spacers up front with maxed out camber go lower front and back and should have no problems...I will be running either a 215/35/19 or a 225/35/19 up front and the rears well we all ready know a 245/35/19...hope this info is usefull to some of you..I know that people are allways wanting and wonder what tires to run how they look stretched and so on...
Comments are welcom as allways...
Do any other brands that you folks know about run the same size as the falkens 451's ? I was going to try the khumos, generals,federals and Nittos but thats a lot of $$ to find out what they look like and most places around here you have to order them and pay a restocking fee if you dont like them...so any info would be appreaciated...

Dunlop (forgot the model, its been a while) 275/30/19 on a 19x12' wheel.  Barrel is exposed but the stretch was rounded and bulky

This is my most extreme stretch that I was able to ride on for over a month
 
Nakang NS-II 265/30/19 on a 19x12 wheel.  The barrell is not only exposed, I can rest my thumb between the tire and lip of the wheel.  The stretch is very nice looking and the tire runs smaller then most brands

Next week I will test a Nexan 225/35/18 on a 18x11 and see how that turns out.

how much of a stretch, if any, would a 235/40/18 toyo proxy 4 be on a 18x9.5 wheel

it would be mild and would probably look like (close to) a 245 on a 10

It would be less then a 245/35.  Dont bother stretching Proxy4's

how about Toyo t1R?

^ Lots of the Euro guys that I know with VW's swear by T1R's but their cars are much lighter then VIP cars.  Cant tell you from personal experience.  I actually had a set of T1R's ready to be put on my OZ Opera II wheels but sold the tires right after I had two blow outs on the Proxy4's. I didnt want to take a chance on the same brand.

so far for 19*11.5, what would be the general consensus tire size  for a g50, is 265/35/19 too much of a stretch, lmk cuz i wanna see how much these tires are going to cost. i need something that will last long and wont break the bank. esp if i can find it used

so ur conclusion is Toyo are no good? hmm.. I'm confuse now, i was about to get one for my new wheels, the T1R.  245/30/20 or maybe 235/30/20 on 10" wide.

T1R works good so far on VW's... I had contis sport compact II, federal 595 ( good stretch too!!),  falken 512 is best stretched tire (discontinued!)

if you post pics of tire stretch, please include rim width, tire make/model/size.. pics alone do not help at all

Careful Inspection of this and other threads has led me to believe the only tire available as of 2008 is the Federal 595 that gets the nod from the stretchers here. I'm looking into it.

What's the Consensus on the NeoGen? Any used it yet? Since i have a 19x8 i'm trying to get the most stretch on it as possible.

Looking at the Nankang NS2 since Widebody Q mentioned it runs smaller...:) thanks

I know.  They love those tires around here but keep in mind, VW's are 500-1000 pounds lighter then Big luxury cars

Which brands run more true to size? I have yokohama s.drive in 255/35/20 on 10.5 and they seem almost squared with the wheels.

depends on the model of tire, not the brand. i.e. some falkens run small, some large, some true to size

just got these mounted today :)

If anything a 235/40 on a 9.5 will look flush and not stretched at all, especially because of the sidewall height.  If you'd like a stretched look go for 215 or 225.  If you want flush (shoulder of tire even with rim, it's getting late so that's the word I chose for now...) that's the perfect choice to go with.

I got Nankangs running 215/35 on a 8J. Barely stretched. It runs wide too. Falken's still the one to go. BTW, heard Dunlop's quite good as well.

I'm looking for pics of a 275/30/19 on a 19x11.5

Any one has pics on how 18x8 and 18x9 with a 225/40 general uhp? Im trying to make the rear fit on a 03 TL with a +37 offset. III is telling me to go with 205/40 on the 18x8 and 215/35 on the 18x9. would this be a stretch? the front i believe i can go with a 215 width. but not sure on the height. I just want to clear the rear fender.  when I have the suspension fully extended in the air and wheel mounted the edge of the lip sticks out about 1/2 in.  I do have a camber kit to bring it in more. but just have to figure out what size tire to run. any suggestions?

Trigga - it depends on both really. if you go less sidewall the stretch will be a little more obvious for the same width, but then some people go less width and more/smae sidewall to prevent having too little sidewall between the rim/rim edge and the road. But generally it looks more stretched with less sidewall as there is simply less sidewall there to pull.
 
kuni808 - i had 225/40 on my 18x9s unfortunately i dont think i have a clear pic. it does give a little stretch, but again depends on tyre used as to how wide they run.

Thanks ant_s13sil.  Nice S13 by the way.  Is your 18s 9.5 or 9?  in your sig it says 9.5? would 225/35 strech more so i get more clearence? hmm. this clearence thing is a learning experience. haha. maybe i should fit the wheel back on and jack up the suspension so i know exactly how much i have to strech.

Does anyone have pictures of Nitto Neo Gen's stretched? how do they hold up to the VIP world of wheels. If not I know the FK452s are tailored to stretching. But they cost a grip.

^ Do you have any pics on your car with these?   I'm having my wheels rebuilt to a -neg. offset and I'm currently running 285/25's in the rear but after seeing this I might change for more clearance to go lower.

This is kind of old but I just had to make a correction. This type of blowout is caused by runflat damage not because of the toyo stretch. When you run on a tire with low air pressure you create a nice looking heat ring like the one taken in this picture which causes your sidewall to fall apart from the inside until it eventually separates from the bead like it did in this picture.

IMHO, 225/40 on a 10J is already pretty stretched (Check out Yokotas13's ride). A 225/35 will make it even more stretched due to thinner sidewall.

A 215/35 on a 10J? Err... That's ballin'

IMHO, 225/40 on a 10J is already pretty stretched (Check out Yokotas13's ride). A 225/35 will make it even more stretched due to thinner sidewall.

and he said.. he dont like the stretch..  its ordinary stretch..

so he said to me dont use 225/35/18 on 10"... use 215/35/18 on 10" im not sure it will safe.. but he said it will be an AWSOME stretch.. (he pretty insane i think he puts 225/35/19 on 19 x 10,5 amistad disk)

it really also depends on what tires you are going to use. Some tires will stretch more than other brands/models.

But if I were you Id stick to a 225/35/18 so that it has a better chance of holding air for a longer period of time, im going to use 225/40/18 on a 10j, eventually and going to be using Falken Ziex512.

yes.. previously i use 19 x 8,5 / 9,5  and its too big..
so i use 18 now.. 18 x 8,5 / 10

looks good, personally I would run a 235 on the fronts too unless you need the clearance... stretching on the front tires is usually unnecessary and unsafe

The front liners are a very poor design (for wide wheels) on the lexus 2IS so rubbing issues are comon.

take a look a few posts up at my 8.5 with 225s (nankang so they run about 10 small)

Hey everyone a dumb question probably but how come your load ratings are so low? i.e a LS400 needs a 95h and some on the tyres you have put on are a 85w? does make any difference?

For the 10, I would go like 225/35/19 and for the 11.5, I would probably go with 245/35/19.  I think those would give you a nice stretch.

I wouldn't stretch too much if you don't need to.. depending on your offsets and the fitment to tuck tire underneath your quarter panels will let you know if you have to stretch a lot. I'm running 11 in the back with +9 offset and I cleared with 245/35/19 Nexen n3000 tires.

I just blew both of my tires on the left side a couple days ago because of a damn pothole and the bead came off of the rim. I ended up paying for 4 brand new tires. make sure you have a tire pressure gauge with you so you can check your psi. I keep mine to 40 psi all around.

I've always liked those tires because of the cool tread pattern. Does that mean they're not flippable?

Every Source I've had told me they were Large. Infact some people compared a normal 235 sized tire to their 225 sized tire.

That tire is Ultrac Sessanta It's listed in the "Large" section.

If the larger versions run true, I'll switch it up, but from all accounts (and i was talking to all the American car drivers and euro drivers) it runs big.

Price wise, they are pretty cheap, but not Hancook or Nankang cheap, slightly more.  Looking at them again, they do run slightly large.  None the less, I love these tires :runcoold:

Those are pretty good tires. Im goin with them come summer. Not sure of the size yet cause Im not sure of what wheel Im going with. I need to have my hub re-drilled from 5x108-??? what ever has the most wheels available that will work.


But I do know IM going with those tires! I know a few people that have them personally and they are great tires!

I need some suggestions on tires, i'm running f/r 18x8, 18x9.  I need to replace my Front Tires, and I'm currently on Falken 512s, 225/40s (not stretched at all).  But I've since gone lower, and I'm sick of how crappy the 512s are, so I need to find a tire that lasts long and can give a considerate amount of stretch.  I've heard Nankangs are pretty stretch friendly, could anyone suggest any other brands?  Looking at running 215/40/18.  Thanks!

Nankang and Falken Azenis ST115 seem to provide the best stretch.

What about Yokohama S Drive... are they good stretch tires, can they be stretched, and anyone have pics of them stretched?

I have 20x9s in the front and 20x10s in the rear. I am runnin 245s on the front and 275s in the rear and hate the look! I want to do a stretch so bad! What do you guys recomend. ok so i am runnin the yoko s-drives.. what i have been thinkin bout since I last posted was to put the 245 35's that i am runnin in the front on the back and puttin 225 35's in the front.. again the front wheels are 9s and the rear wheels are 10's.... Is that goin to be good lookin stretch? are the yoko s-drives a good stretch? help me please

i have Nexen N3000s but i have 235/35/19 on 9" up front and 245/35/19 on 10" up back. The 235/35 on 9 is stretched, but is pretty mild. i did it on purpose since its a daily. the tyre is pulled back but the rim edge is pretty much in line with it (not sticking out past the tyre).
the 245/35 on 10 is a nice stretch imo, rim is exposed slightly beyond the tyre edge.

I am going to be putting tires on my wheels. 18x8/9
Please, give mild setups and extreme setups.

Alright fellas.. Need a lil help here.

Current setup on a 2GS:

Rims: 
20 x 8.5 running +19 F 
20 x 9.5 running +24 R

Tires  are Nitto 555:
 225/35 F
 245/35 R

Camber: 
-3 F
-3.3 R

My fenders are cut and re-enforced in the front and while there is some rubbing is nothing bad. The rears I'm wanting to bring out 10mm to a +14.  I'm imagining that this will take a slight pull, but need to determine maximum stretch while still being able to daily drive without hesitation.  

I'm in sales and put about 2500 miles / month on my GS.  So far, the Nittos have been great.. probably have over 15K miles on them.

I like the Nitto's but they run big it seems.  Anyone drive as much as I do that could give some insight on a dependable tire that will run a nice stretch but with lots of abuse, and appropriate sizes?

I am currently running nankang, I wouldn't reccomend them for stretching anything. They were horrible. I'll get some pics up soon. 

But st115's are hands down the best stretching tire I've ever used.

Not a lot of info on the Nitto NT555.  I have had these tires on for a good 15K and they have been fantastic.  

Here is what a shot 245/35/20 looks like on a 9.5 width:

The inner sidewalls looked fantastic!  Really was impressed by the overall tire, despite the fact that I had some nylon showing.

I decided I wanted some more stretch as i'm going to space out the rears some more.

Just the right amount of stretch for a daily driver (I drive my car everywhere and average about 2500 miles / month).

The stretch of the 245 on the 9.5 width looked the same as the 225 on the 8.5 width.  The stretch on the 235 out back looks much better then the stretch of the 225 up front. It doesn't seem NSII run skinny as many people say.  I had Falken FK452 225/40/18 on a 18x9.0, and it stretched a lot more than that 225/35 on the 10" wide.  And usually lower profiles should have a more stretched look.

I've heard mixed reviews about the NS2's but most people claim that they stretch really well.  I was planning on replacing my FK452s with NS2's but before I do,   Can anyone with experience post up some up close pics, preferably 215/40 on an 8" and 225/40 on a 9",   Thanks =]

215/40 on a 8" is barely a stretch. I am running that size and im thinking about 205/40.

Nice stretch considering the limitations on wheel size both in width and the diameter.  Aside from a 215/30/20 this is the best stretch you are going to get on a 20x8.5..

215/35 on a 8" is a slight more stretch and more barrel exposure. I found a 205/35 so im debating if i should get a pair of 205/40 or 205/35... What do you guys think.....

I'm looking for pics of a 19x12.5 wheel with 285/30/19 mounted or 275/3019 but I think the 275 is not a safe stretch on a 19x12.5.  

I've seen 19x12 with 275 and it looks a bit to much for everyday driving.

Personally I wouldn't go smaller than 285/30/19.  275/30/19 T1S on 19x11.5 was a nice stretch.

alright well my current set up is 19x9/10 ima be running 225/35 all around how much psi should i have in my tires at all times?

40 - 42 PSI I had a moron of a Wheel Balancer put 34 PSI and had a titty on my wheel. Asked a friend and was confirmed go with 40 - 42 and I am running 20x9 225/35 and 20x10 245/35 so figure should be about the same. Some people put about 50 but you dont want your tire to bust or feel like your riding on basket balls.

i need some help... i had nankangs 255/30/20 on 10.5 and moved on to achilles 255/35/20 due to flat.  the stretch is complete different..... it looks like its not even stretched. do you think going 245/35 will give me the stretch that nankang gave? or should i go to 225/35?

Two-finger gap? If that's all you want the recommended tire sizes will work.

I'm going with 235/35 front & 245/35 rear come spring. That will get you good clearance if you want to go lower and flusher. You can definitely step them down a size but I don't think you'll need the clearance.

I scrape the frame and resonator over some speed bumps. i just take'em slowly. It's part of the game.

I asked about the 20x11-1 pictures on falken 452 tires..okay does offset play a big role in your tire size?for instance if I have a 20x9.5 rim with a +25 and have 225-30-20 tires on,than I drop my offset to -3 same width 20x9.5 just -3. will running the same tire be diffrent because of the offset?I'm thinking not because of the width but correct me if I'm wrong..and agian still trying to get pic on 20x11-1 rollin with falken 255-30-20,thanks .

Yes, offset and ride height will play a role in tire size. If you need the stretch do it. If you don't need it then don't do it. It's trial and error.
I think 225/30/20 is the smallest 20" tire you can get so I think you're stuck regardless of wheel width or offset.

thanks,as for the drop I'll be drop a little more than 2.5 inch front and rear.looking for a stretch.I'm currrently running 245-30-20 on a 10.5 -7 it's a nice stretch and no rubbing..I ran a 245-35-20 and it rub like crazy.so I'm going 20x11-1 so I might run a 255-30-20 so hopefully it'll clear,and thanks for the help.

Nothing but good luck with 8-10k miles on them so far and running -4.6 degrees camber out back.  Its just about time to flip them to get more miles.  If I get 16-20k outta my rears I'm pretty damn happy with that.

I'd stay away from Falkens.....a couple VIP guys here in Az are having problems with them.

They keep getting bubbles on the sidewalls and tire separation.  They check their tire pressure weekly.  We talked to a Falken rep at SEMA and he said to check the load rating because smaller profile and width tires are not designed for larger cars let alone being stretched.  Especially on LS400's and GS's.

I never had probs with my FK452's on my old Volks on my s13 but a few guys out here are having issues with them just in 20" sizing.

I love my Toyo's and it will be what I buy from now on.

I have. Multiple times actually. The problem is that I can't tell whats mild for 8" and most of the 9" stretches in here are for other peoples fronts (not rear) thus not giving me options relative to my setup. This is due to people not really stretching their fronts.

With your offsets and only being 8" and 9" you really don't need to stretch imo

1 - What car is this going on?
2 - You plan on running spacers?
3 - You looking for flushness or tucking?
4 - Rolled fender lips?
 
If 2 & 3 are no then 20's is right, no need to stretch.

I don't know about the GS but if the fitment is anything like the LS you're going to need a  spacer (15+mm) up front to acheive 'flush'.
One thing you didn't mention is the diameter for the wheels.

Has anyone had experience stretching the Falken ze-912, ze-512, or even possibly the 502? This will be my first time running stretched tires so I need some advice. I will be running a 15x10 on my miata with a 205/50/15. I know its not VIP, but this is my daily and I can't stand driving it stock haha. I've also seen people running 215/45 as well as 225/45, both sizes which are pretty difficult to find and almost double the price of the 205/50. Thoughts?

the 512 and 912 stretch great... the 502 is a piece of shit tire (not sure on how it stretches)

The VIP subie that subie of n. america built ran a 20x10 with 235/30-20 falkens all around. Mc3 wheels made the set. You can google it but I'm not sure if you can get a side tire profile shot or not.

I just replaced a couple of these on my car. I run a 18x9.5 average stretched 225/40/18 on it. I don't know if the tire was faulty or dry. The two I replaced were nearly new, but the outside edge of both had a small hairline crack in the sidewall in the part closest to the rim. The inside sidewall was almost busted through on at least on tire ( I didn't get to check out the other). There is nothing for the tires to rub on that would cause any issues (the car has always been low with super aggressive wheels, and the fenders are extremely rolled/pulled), and the car doesn't see crazy amounts of driving (daily'd about 8 miles). On top of that the tire ran a little thick and the sidewalls seemed to thick to get that nice stretched curve on it.

I replaced them with new Toyo Proxes 4's to match the rear two. The stretch on the rear was nice so I went with them in the same size.

i was wondering, those of you who running Nankangs tires, r they noisy? cause im looking for a tire that not noisy for under 900 for a set. that would work fine. 235 on a 8.5" wouldn't be stretched at all. I ran that on my fronts for a few weeks then tossed the 235's on the rear 9.5's. I would try 215's or 225's on the front instead. I wouldn't go any more than 245's on the rear :biggthumpup:

^ That's pretty nuts but I think a different brand 285/30 would have worked.

I didn't think this was possible, and even my boys at Tire Central (San Gabriel) weren't able to do it for me. Took it to a truck stop and they aired it up for me with 120 psi. I ended up driving on them with 70 psi. Barrel was exposed front and rear. I would not recommend this!

LOL, it's kinda embarrassing... I went deep into the ghetto, worked with Jose @ 7th street and buckeye and the other shop is 7th street and a couple streets south of the I-10... It's the yellow building, about 500 wheel's inside displayed on the walls, pretty big shop.  Good place if you need a 30 series 20" tire for around $100 installed.

The plus side about going to that side of town is that I hit up the amazing LOLO'S CHICKEN AND WAFFLES on Central and Buckeye...

Really? the 255/35 wouldn't hold even though the 235/35 on a 10 is an identical stretch? 

I was thinking of doing a 245/30 on an 11. Any particular reason why the 255 didn't work on the 12?

I actually sold the 255 35 to my buddy with a 11.5in wheel and it fit very nice! the way I would have wanted it! He also had some difficulty mounting he had to use the lighter fluid flame on! poof mount to heat up the tires to stretch on the 11.5 scarey stuff hahaha, im actually going to mount nankang 275 30's on this week i will post pics of that too.

Damn...wondering if I should still buy some nankangs and try them out or go with smaller generals.

are the nankang tires taller/wider than most tires in the same sizes? I will need tire to stretch over a 12in and 13in wide and i was looking at 255/35f and 275/35r nankang because of price, but since it didnt hold air on your 12 im a little skeptical about sizes

I heard that they run on the smaller side closer to true. Can someone verify that? Also wondering if it not holding air has anything to do with the lip protector on the tire.

i ran a nankang 255-30-20 on my 11s nice stretch.I figure it's cheap and I usually change them out once a year so it's good for the pocket.does anyone have a 245-30 on a 10.5 or even a 235-40 on a 10.5..

on the 12in nankangs 255 35 its gunna be tuff! 11.5 was really streched!

What tires stretch really good? Similar to the Hankook V4 and V12? Basically I need something to stretch a 245/30 on an 11 like the Hankook V12, however, last time they were backordered. Need to call in and find out but if there's a cheaper alternative I'm all ears.

Q45er do you have any pic of the 255 on the 11.5? i wanna see what kind of stretch it have so i can determine what size to go with for my setup.

i'm running a 255/35/18 on an 18x12 wheel

but be aware that your barrel design will change whether you'll be able to rock them or not -- i've heard stories of different wheels not being able to bead, when tire size, mounting method, and other things are the same

If your going to mount them on the rears of your Ordens (11.5) then it will be perfect stretch!! Since you kepted yourt Ordens right...My budy has the same size and offset Ordens!

Q45er is that the 255/35 on an 11.5? That look like alot of space between lip and tire for that size. Do you have a clearer picture? I really want to see if i can get the 275/35 or 285/30 nankang to stretch over a 13in wide and that 255/35 to go over a 12in wide since they are the cheapest and in the sizes i want.

lunek the crapy cell pic below with the Ordens are nankang nsII 255 35 20 on  a 11.5in and the whole outer and inner lip is exposed but you cant see barrel tho so its kinda of an aggressive stretch.
 
The vid is a 275 35 20 Falkin 452 on a 12in so if you are looking to do this on a 13 should work well, fyi on my 12in it was too thick! thats why im going thinner 265 35 or 265 30.

q45er - I'm not gonna need that big of a stretch. That's just too much stretch for the roads that I'm riding on.(potholes) I just want a little stretch, nothing massive.

^^^that's crazy, same stretch wouldn't hold air with a falken 452 when we tried.

Oh wow!  The Coopers have a stiff sidewall, so I actually didn't expect them to stretch as easily as they did.  Didn't need the cheetah either, thanks to the barrel design.

Seeing as this is my daily beater, I've kept 45psi in the tires.  No problems to report here.

just put on a 245/35 on a 11 wide rim..  stretch is crazy!!  a bit too crazy.. lol.. did it by accident, I ordered the wrong size and actually wanted 255..

Let me know how those Ventus are holding up. They have been on my radar for a while :biggthumpup: I'm done with FAILkens!

I used them before, had no problems other than me not paying attention to them being worn out and not flipping in time. Been running Hankook since I started stretching and I do pretty extreme stretches.

225/35 on a 10.5 (didn't come out too clean, could have been because of the shop), a 235/30 on a 10.5, and a 235/35 on an 11 for the 2nd time.

235 /35/20 on 20x11 dayum!

i never had new tires to compare to, but i had dunlop spsport and general. spsport was pretty soft, general was pretty long lasting. nexan i had was pretty soft too but like i said, i never had em new
i base my judgement on the stiffness of the rubber and also the 400 tread rating

I just got my first achilles. 225/35/19 on a 19x9.5 and 245/30/20 on 20x10. no complaints here except i should have gone with a 235 on either one.

hmmm..this is gonna be tough. achilles are only 100 per on a 235/35/19 and nexen are 120 per tire. 340 tread wear on the Nexen and 400 on the Achilles, and both XL sidewalls.

I will be placing an order for some achilles atr sport. No hesitations. I am sold for them being all season tires with 400AAA treadwear. They are cheap and affordable for me to replace once my camber murder's the living tread life on them.

what would work best... im thinking 235/30-20 on a 9.5 front and 245/30-20 on a 10.0 rear for an '06 M45 aggressive offsets of course.... dropped on coils. (offsets around +10 both front and rear ). Im thinking a 35 series tire may be too tall for my desired ride height, especially in the rear. ie: 225/35 and 235/35. I know the front will do fine but the rear will require some attention. prepared to camber and roll fenders :)

Same with you. The sizing I suggested for Juicedw140. Go with his sizing for your 9.6 and 10. I dont think you want to ride on 30 series, it's risky to try and stretch, then roll slammed, with low offsets, and not to mention on 20's. Be on the safe side and 35 series should be good. Just research on your tires. Make sure you are picking a proper load rating tires also.

Same with you. The sizing I suggested for Juicedw140. Go with his sizing for your 9.6 and 10. I don't think ride quality will be a difference, but it's pretty much the amount of tire you want laid on the ground.

I am trying to find some pictures of Achilles 245/35/20 on 20x10 and 255/35/20 on 20x11.  Looking to see how much stretch will these tires give me.  Thanks

^^^ those will not be much of a stretch. Go with 225/35 or 235/35 for the 10 and 245/35 or 255/30 for the 11 IMHO

Also, what tires are recommended for stretched and a little bit of negative camber? I want tires that are comfort and quiet.

On last autumn the angles we're adjusted, so much camber than stock arms can give.

On front i think that should get 1degree less, to get fitment right when car lays down.

Celestak from the stretch you got from the federals on your 12s do you think their 275/30/19 will stretch over a 13? Is there any gap between tire and lip on your stretch?

No exposed barrel.  based on this I think a 275 30 would def. be worth a try

I believe it will.  Achilles also run large.  based on the Tire Catalog thread though I've never run them.

As I was expecting Toyo Proxes T1R don't run narrow in 21's, but the little "stretch" that i got is nice and round.

im running some Nittos on my setup right now but im looking to replace my tires. so heres my dilemma, in the nittos im running 225/35 up front on a 19x9, if i decide to run with some achilles would i be ok with the same size or should i opt for something different? other options are the hankook ventus V4 or the Federal ss-595. any help would be greatly appreciated

How is your clearance with the Nittos?  Do you rub? if not that I would say go one size smaller if you're gonna go with any of those tires you mention.

i have perfect clearance using the Nittos, zero rubbing anywhere. so then i should go with a 215 in the hankooks, achilles or federals? thats what i was guessing based on the research i did. appreciate the help!

yes sir being that it'll essentially look like the Nittos you have now even though it's a size smaller.

This is very true. I got some a few months back. Went smaller in the rear and same size in the front. I'm not even lowered yet, but with my last tire I rubbed in the back at stock height so I shaved the rear fenders.  Now with the same size Achilles that I had of Falkens in the front, I now rub in the front and can tell a big difference of how it looks. Before I had matching rim exposure front and rear, now I can barely see the lip of the front rim if you give it a look from the front to back of the car.

Fronts rolled/slight pull and rears shaved flat.

I would use 215/35 in the front and either 225/35 or 235/35 in the rear
