My Window Visors Showed up!!!!
Yay! The funny thing is there are 6 pages of instructions in Japanese on how to stick these things on the car. There is one tricky spot where it lines us with the side mirrors that I am trying to make sure I put the clip in the right place.
All the photos are on my site here. I will be doing a write up on the install for it, I know it sounds silly for such a small thing but thought it would be fun.
Ill be putting them on this weekend, after I go to the Magic game.

Do you have any friends that speak/read Japanese? If you don't, shoot me off a PM and I'll see if my buddy will translate for you.

I actually do have a buddy who lives there. He has helped me out before. I was going to shoot him a mail if I have an Issue. I figure that I should be able to figure it out by the parts alone.
It really just boils down to stick in clips along gutter and use double sided tape.

Its 1 2 3 .. line the front up with the windsheild post then work you way backwards to the rear of the car .it had 3 clips on it .
Peel the 3 m tape out after you have gotten it in the right place and if you still not sure use some soap water(BEFORE) on the area so you can slide it around until its sits perfect .
let it sit for hr in the sun and you are golden .. close the door very slowly just to ensure that the visor not too low .
The rear of the visor is the trickey part to line up soo it shows that perfect curve .
have fun and don't forget the soap water if u are not sure ..

Well everything went pretty easy. Made one small mistake lining them up on the drivers side, but once I figured it out the whole thing only took about 20 minutes.

OK...I kinda dig it. I love how it cancels out that chrome trim, but what do you think about that 12-16 inches of chrome trim showing just behind the half way point of the rear window? It kinda stands out and may be worth painting. What do you think?

looks good...you'd be surprised at how many people have questions regarding this install...
I've always been a fan on color matched window visors...i think it appears to bring the roof line down a bit and give it a more sleeker, sporty look...

Yeah, I was thinking about that. I may try it with Vinyl first. The issue is to make sure that what is showing under the visors is not visible.
I definitely think I will do it though.
Possibly painting the trim first would make it look the best but I would worry about the bond of the tape to the painted surface. I think I can do it well enough with vinyl now though.
Here is a quick PS of how it would look black.

I think it does need to be black. I don't think I want to do color matched on the visors since the do hang down a bit and you would no longer be able to see through them. I also think I like the black with my tint.
Secondary project, YAY!

Hell YEAH!!!! that's the look right there:biggthumpup: PROPS!! Question: what is this vinyly stuff you are talking about? Is it an adhesive of some sort and where do you get it. I have a secret project that may require something of that nature. ;)

This is exactly why I didn't get these. They make flat black backout tape that you could cover the chrome up with.

I bought the vinyl already. I will be able to cover the trim and not need to worry about the stuff under the visors, you cant see it.
Once i get the car back tomorrow I will do it. On a side note I won't have that annoying squeaky seat anymore, my aftermarket warranty paid to replace the drivers seat rails.....$1100!

Its basically a big sticker on a roll. I get it from a sign shop that sells extra end rolls. Its comes in 10 and 24 inch width rolls normally.

nice...I'd go with that jacko-lantern orange if I were you. ;)
...hey, your squeaky seat could've been resolved by lifting the seat exactly .001 cm's off the track. Simply tap the vertical seat button in the upwards position to avoid contact with tracks. .001cm's is all it takes  I did a write-up on DickoClubForums

It only took 5 minutes to vinyl wrap the exposed chrome on the pillars this afternoon. Unfortunately it rained all day so no pictures. Hopefully no rain tomorrow. I also took the time to hang the new Fusa and put on my Volk Racing license frame.
My Air Runner is supposed to be in the sates by end of this month. I hope to have it all set before end of march at worse case.

The main difference is the shape. They look nothing like the old fogey ones you see on SUV and Caddies. Those are kind flat and hang low, these are sleek and curve with the lines of the car. Plus they are straight out of Japan and and Nissan OEM part.

Yahoo japan auctions always has them used for around 180-200 range but run the risk of missing clips or cracks but you never know you might come across a reaally clean set that will only require fresh 3M tape... The $505 shipped are brand new from the dealer from a excellent seller.. you will get them 5 days tops..

HAHAHA 505! OMGJDM LOL.... I should have mine today, genuine JDM Nissan from Riversideinfiniti.com for 89 bucks plus shipping.
If you want to pay me 505, I'll buy some from Riverside and sell them to you for that price though.
First time I seen this Jade, looks awesome, can't wait to have mine on. I might black out the rest of the trim around the glass too.

Ok fellas, the box just showed up, I got the ONE PIECE visors for 89 plus shipping. The box is about 5 feet long, the instructions are in Japanese, and says on the front page Y34 above the Nissan logo, with illustrations of Y34 Ced/Glo. Came in a Nissan box. Looks exactly like Jade's pics of it.
So myvipstyle, I'll take you up on that offer. Paypal me the 505 and I'll even ship them overnight.
The 4 piece visors are for cars with window frames, our cars don't have window frames, these are the real deal. Can not wait till 5pm to install them!!

The box is about 5 feet long, the instructions are in Japanese, and says on the front page Y34 above the Nissan logo, with illustrations of Y34 Ced/Glo. Came in a Nissan box. Looks exactly like Jade's pics of it.

Yep, you're lucky cause you didn't have to pay tax, but I used my UPS number so I saved on shipping. Literally ordered them yesterday too.
Copied from Jade's website, this is the exact instruction manual I have.

Nice glad to hear you got the one piece y34 visors and not the four piece! they should update the listing and get rid of the fuga and the four piece visor pic on the bottom of the listing and put a pics of the real deal IMO.

Obviously the person you spoke with is wrong is all I'm saying. How would 4 piece visors even make any sense for this particular model of car? The Fuga ones are 4 piece because they have to be.
The picture does show a Gloria with the 1 piece visors at the top, but yes, the picture down the page in the listing shows 4 piece on the Fuga. If you put 1 piece on a Fuga, every time you opened the door, the frame would knock it off.

These things are nice! The purple-ish color blends perfectly between the dark blue of my car and the dark tint, it's a nice, seamless transition. I wasn't sure how I felt about them at first, cause I put them on at night, but in the daylight, they grew on me and now I definitely dig them.
I did miss one part of the instructions till AFTER I had finished though. Your supposed to leave the tape covered except at both ends, till you have it positioned just right, THEN you pull the rest off and press them down. My drivers side came out perfect, but the pass side stuck before I had them all the way down, but it's only off by less than 1/4" so really no biggie.
For 89 bucks, big thumbs up.

If you catch it right when it happens slow steady pressure will let you remove and reposition the visor......at least that what i hear ;)

I just took my nylon trim tools, loosened it up in the middle, lowered it down the rest of the way and now it's perfect =) Glad I got the driver side right the 1st time, but now they're even.
And I installed my Burtman Ind. automatic trunk opening kit today. Works great, but almost too much pressure, so I'm gonna rig some bump-stops to slow it down at the end. Still cool though, can't tell you how many times I have cases of beer in my hands and have to set one down to lift the trunk. Not any more!
