well that was my old Q, I miss it alot! Here's my new platform, I bought this silver on black 99 Q45 since September and have been collecting parts, just haven't had time to install everything lol! I have mainly been doing maintenance stuff but I'll keep you updated as I go on with the project, so far I have UAS waiting to be installed with Bold World camber plates (thanks Grant!) and other goodies! I'll update as I go, let me know what you think!

Damn, and you trust that on the Q. This car weighs way more than an S chassis, IIRC twice as much as an S13.
You doing S13 conversion too???

my friend had the same kind on his Y33, never gave a problem, but it's true a Y33 weighs like 1000 lb more than an s13, when I put my UAS in and fit my rims I'll see if I need them. I'm doing the S13/S14 conversion becaue it's more logical for me, I already had the parts lying around and I want to eventually switch from the UAS over Tokico/KYB to UAS over S13 coilovers. Can you do me a favor and measure the od on your PBM coils? I had some on my S13 and might pick up another set for the Q, just want to make sure my bags will slide over

1000?? My Q's got 2K lbs on my hatch, base model, no power nothing.
+1 for the S13/14 conversion. Best mod I ever did, and on bags, you'll get the most out of it.
OD on the my Max coils is 167mm

Y33 is around 3,800-3,900 lbs, S13 base like 2,600 and SE like 2,700, S14 is like 2,800.
By O.D. I mean outer diameter on the shock of the PBM coil, the threaded portion, because the bag has to slide over it and the max diameter on UAS bag can go over is 2.14 in

I know what you meant by OD, but I guess i shoulda put outer circumference I forget the math for figuring that out.

not at all sir! I have abs S14 hubs so it will still have abs and tcs, the only drawback is not being able to use the swaybar but I will be making custom end links to be able to run it

more pics! I pretty much have everything I need to install the suspension, picked up the modified struts yesterday from fbiphil (thanks Phil). I'm doing the S chassis swap with UAS, and down the line upgrading the struts to full S13 coilovers, here is the list of what will consist of
- front S14 lower control arms, S14 spindles with abs hubs
- Megan Racing inner/outer tie rods
- ebay S14 tension rods
- Bold World Y33 camber plates/ rear upper mounts (thanks Grant)
- S14 Tokico struts F, S13 KYB struts R
- Nismo 50mm wheel studs
and for the air
- 2 Viair 380c compressors
- 2 3 gal aluminum tanks
- UAS Aero Sports
- 1/2'' valves and line
- EAI 7 switch box
I'm still debating as to where to mount the tanks and compressors, what do you guys think, either in the spare tire well or up at top, but then I have less trunk sace. I think I'll mount the valves outside the car underneath, just want some ideas and for those with UAS to chime in

it's going alright lol, some complications here and there. I already did the S chassis conversion up front and right now I'm installing the air, 90% complete with that, just have to wire up the switchbox and one of the welds on one of my tanks is leaking, gotta take it to my friend to weld it up, I've been taking pics just need to upload them, after that I will be rolling the fenders and fitting my wheels, I'll post pics soon!

s13 lca's are shorter than s14 and have a different taper on the ball joint, it would make the track narrower

So is that your ride height or slammed? Sometimes 20s look too big but then sometimes 19s look too small. I have to see 20s in person. :pat: in this case, as stated before, this shit is clean.

that's pretty much slammed, I mean it's not 0 psi but the front has no more room to go lower cause it is sitting on the tires, with stocks i could lay the cats on the ground though. I had the same dilemma about the rims, sometimes 20's look too big, and sometimes 19's waaay too small, but after I put them on I love the look plus when I get a kit it will balance out, and 20'' tires are cheaper and easier to come by around here lol.
