What did you do to your Nissan/Infinti today???

Since so many people seem to be secretive or like me.... just slow:innoutrofl2: I thought we could just do some mini updates etc.



I'll start since today I had the bead resealed on the Fiances' VSKF's.  RE050A's are not a good tire to stretch due to the sporty stiff sidewalls but she loves the way they ride so yeah.

I also spaced out the Ann. Edition Q45 wheels so they are pretty damn flush even though they are stockers.  Soon to be replaced though, I just need tires for the new wheels.  On Thanksgiving I had the front hood resprayed as well.

i just lowered the rear a bit more (it's pretty good timing that you posted this thread today haha)

kept her in garage while i brainstorm the rear interior :)

I havent driven it since last night haha....needs to be washed.  Just sitting in my driveway slammed to the ground.

I cursed at it a couple times.  My resonator is cracked and rattles but things get worse haha

My F50 was hit and run on Friday night at a local pub.  I was parked out front of some bays where the pub/sports bar keeps their kegs, bottles etc.   So I filed a police report because there is a camera pointing right where I was parked!   Looks like someone backed right into me damaging the rear bumper on the passenger corner also the metal under the tail light and the quarter are damaged.  Argh.  Have to deal with insurance company on Dec 2.

Oh and I bought a condo so modding plans are on hold until funds allow!

Turned it on just to here it rumblin in the garage, that's all I can do for now. Got a part on order, but still bein shipped from where the sun rise

Drove it to work ..at 234 km (no joke ) :-) Then dropped it off for a oil spray and full service at the shop ..:biggthumpup:

My tophats are coming!! Woo hoo!! Then UAS go in, then my rim fitment, then accessories woooohooo

about to roll my front fenders now, and alignment tomorrow.

called body shop guy... didn't answer.   Washed car today after the rain....  next week more rain expected.

Looked at it in the garage. Hasn't moved for a while. Stacking up my chips for air runners. Couple hundred more. =)

Stared at it and smiled.

Pulled the intake off my black s14. Gonna start parting out all the aftermarket stuff and sell as a stock daily. Charging the battery on it now. Discovered a small leak on the upper radiator hose. Will replace tommorrow.

Looked at the white s14 and considered selling to pick up a Y33. Maybe?

Stared at the Y50 and day dreamed for a bit.

vacuumed it, checked tire press and fluids lol!, and thought "When will I get my UAS installed?"  Have everything ready now,it is just a matter of doing it hehe

getting the 90k service on friday.

picked up some junction produce stuff today:
roof spoiler, white fusa, and gold kintsuna.

May be i'll wash my car today!!

for today: Maintenance! New t-stat, oil change, and fuel filter!

Pulled out the Q from the garage to get some coffee with a friend, decided to go shop and buy a ps3 slim 250gig for the Q
 
Got pulled over on the way back because "tint to dark" cop couldnt even see through the glass with his mag light then open door and freaked after he saw weapon permit with d/l in my hand and a glock 45 on the hip of my friend. Get out of the car, cop asked search of car I said go ahead then asked like 5 times if week in the car I said of course not then says get on the curb called in a code 6 "backup" 2 others come and didnt find anything of course then said to me " you are getting a warning ticket for the tint not even going to test it I know its beyond legal" then just tells us to leave with no ticket in hand. 
 
Oh forgot to mention I just register the Q and that there was no plate on the back (custom plate on order) haha

^almost the same thing happened to me two night ago except it was McDonalds fries instead of a Glock:smiley-rofl:....and it was license plate frame lights were out rather than  no plate at all....

 Sounds a lil like my bday I have a Class A lic. to carry concealed and so do 2 of my boys. We got pulled over on my birthday headin out to the bar my friend had his 9 in the car and we all got searched and patted down because he smelled alcohol. Of course he did, It was my B day. Reason we got pulled over it was a saturday night and my boys car we were in has a DUI on his record. Sucked we almost didn't make it to the bars intime to get our drink on.

Wash my car for sure today.

You are right, I wouldnt either but then again I am going in for the app in an finger printing next week then the day the permit comes in buying the g27 glock 40 Ive had my eyes set on for quite some time. But any way most time cops just see a permit and bounce. But this one city I went through (should have rolled the freeway) is crazy. No more of that! haha

if its spring and strut combo. get spring compressors you can rent them at a local autozone.

Ahhh got it. That'll look tight. I love my PBM, super beefy, only wish camber arms had adjustability to give more negetive camber. Other than that, super legit stuff right there.

4LED Wedge bulb, IDK, I've always rigged up my own LED's

would need bigger spacers for the normal stock wheels I think, but the AE wheels are slightly better offsets I believe.

no rears jsut cut the fenders to fit the over fenders..

GENETIC. no massive wheels on the 180 I want to run 18.9.5 front and 18x11 back.negative offsets of course but for the track im jsut gonna buy some 5ZIGEN FN's since there are cheap ass hell .
 
For the Q project.. wheels are gonna jsut be some 19x9.5F and 19x10rear maybe 0 offset all the way around.. not sure yet .

Haven't really done anything to my G50 today, or lately... its kinda taken the back burner as I'm modding my audi a3 for the time being, while I'm waiting for this bodu kit to come in for my G50... then once the kits here, audi should have enough mods to it by then, ill jump back on the G50....

just installed 6000k HIDs into the headlgihts...now trying to figure out how to take the JP foglights out to put in HIDs

anway... just got the message from Freddie that the air runners are at the shop. time to take the car down to SD. =) Merry Christmas to me.

^yes the chrome was recalled and I got these in replacement for them, they are just polished.  You can tell by the insides of the spokes in that pic.   The pic is out of skew because I was in the busy street and the driveway is lower than the grass etc.

did new front/rear rotors-pads, brake master rebuilt, brake fluid flush

I fixed my exhaust leak. Needs an oil change but the snow kinds ruined my chances of doing that in the driveway.

nice muffler.  Picked my car up from body shop.  Had to fix dome lights that they somehow broke, polish out over spray on trunk and a nice new door mark that happened at the body shop.  Yay.  They installed an OEM aftermarket bumper which doesn't fit that great.  bumper to quarter fitment is crap so it is going back in because they need to do metal work on the quarter panel where the car was backed into.  

I hate body shops!

^ Sucks.  I'm so happy my buddy does body work and that he is SOOOOO anal.

I washed both cars today to take advantage of the cooler weather.

gotta questions guys...ordering my HIDs for my JP foglights on my q45 and was wondering if its the factory bulb size which is an H3. Im about 90% sure, but just wanted to confirm it with somebody else.

Drove the SR to 9 PSI. may turn it up to tad bit more, like 14 psi, because that'll feel good. haha

Installed 6" Swift  18K springs (rear)
Swapped front tires to the rear.

Front just got new smaller tires.
Still need to lower the front some more
with Swift 20K .=)

Well last night i finally got round to using the fender roller + heat gun that i bought. Practiced on my mate's prelude, and then when we were getting the hang of it, put it on my car. My fenders are already perfectly flat, but i'm having rubbing issues on the inner fender. 
 
So i massaged my inner fender a bit. Its now hard up against the door jam on the rear door, and a quick drive seems to confirm it fixed the rubbing. Will have to try with a couple of people in the car,, but its got me all fender-rolling happy. Might see whats needed to roll lower now :)

hahah planks of wood lol,  yeah im loading speakers in and out of the bloody thing that way a ton, always end up removing the back seats so i can get the amp rack in there hah i sit a bit lower then XD

Just do what I do on a daily basis going in and out and scrape the concrete in your driveway. Fortunately it touchs very lightly at my height, which is probably the lowest I can do for DD. The coils still have adjustability to do it, but I'd love to still go lower :sad:

im taking off a spindel off my rear coils, and hopefully itll be lip to fender, changing front brake pads cause its kinda embarrassing to hear it squeak all day while driving haha.

damn man, thanks for clearing that up. I've had the f50 0n the same level as the older Mercedes-Benz CL in terms of not seeing them that often must just = unreliability, but cool. YEah, and the only issue with the F50 was that there were some of the 02-03's with an oil consumption problem....it appeared before 50K miles though so any issues will have been taken care of either by being replaced or blown up if the car is used.

Bought S14 coilovers and all the parts to do the swap since I blew the driver rear JIC coilovers I have now. When I am done, I will have a complete front set up left over for sale, front coils and brakes for a Y33 direct bolt in. I'll have the blown rears as well with top hats too....

changed out my hdlts hids to 6k and modded my stock fogs. gutted the fogs cut out the bulb shield and running bright white leds. also swapped out my black housing HID hdlts for the clear HID hdlts. woohoo!!!

now just saving up to do the y33 to S13/S14 suspension!!!

Now that I got all new bushings up front left and right stabilizer links and a few other regular maintenance things done I can hopefully order suspension in 2 weeks and get my car down at the level we all like car to be, before the end of february

I did not go with traction rods....yet.  I probably won't as they aren't a necessity to get the alignment correct etc.  I meant I got the Tension rods up front with the RUCA's and Toe's.  I would tell you that the Toe rods aren't a concern but I would question any Ruca that has the rod welded onto the side of the mounting pooint instead of it being one piece just based on the weight of the car and the pounding the suspension will take riding low...but I'm also picky...

looked at my rear tires and saw that its time to flip them

why are you parting out?

Not parting out, just raised it as high as I could with the S13 coils and put the stock wheels on cause my SSR's have a deposit on em, so I took them off. 
Car still looks lowered, but on stocks, with mad camber :runcoold: hahaha

I didn't say there's somethin wrong with his ride, where the hell did you read that at? I posted it up makin fun of my ride, and maybe a lil of Alex's and Joe's too =) but cause our cars ain't as low, right now,  as we'd like em to be. Actually yes, the other forums are laughing at us. They say our tires are the wrong size , we need to fix our camber, n we drive too slow.  does it matter what anyone else says about your ride?  if u can't take a joke, or if others opinions matter so much don't try to come out thinking you'll impress everyone. :shrug: just keep your shit stock so no matter what builder looks at it, they could think of what they would want to do to it. I ordered 6 qts of Amsoil 5-30, an EaO oil filter and Wix air filter from Amsoil today for my annual oil change which is 2 months past due.  I'm not worried though, whenever I've sent Amsoil for analysis it always comes back "suitable for continued use".  Plus 1 year for me equals about 8k miles, if that.

Stuffed a 42" plasma in the back seat of my F50.   I was suprised it fit!

i found out today that this is too low for the streets in this stupid city.... how did i find out? well... i found about 6L of oil in the driveway.... yaaayyy

Yea you learn real quick that the q45 oil pan hangs too low. You are gonna need to drain it, weld it up if its not too bad then make a scrape plate. Welcome to the world of G50's

be careful the pans are very thin and burn easy you could wind up with a bigger hole than what you started with.

Tried to replace the headlight bulbs but it never stopped raining long enough.  Also need either 1 255/30/20 or 2 245/40/20's so I can get my temporary wheels on.

started doing my 99 to 97 trunk conversion but ran into some wireing problems the light on the drivers side trunk won't come on the brake and reverse light work and I can't pop the trunk from inside the car I have to use the key damn I thought it would have been easy as long as I had the 97 trunk harnness what should I do?

Changed the O2 sensor and fixed a coolant leak at the reservoir line.
Now have to wait to see if that damn passenger side o2 sensor error comes back.

just changed oil and filter, checked all the control arms, ball joints, tie rods, etc.  Changed  out extended front studs to factory ones, and bought new lug nuts and locks.

Pulled the tires of the new(used) wheels I have and started the process of removing the damaged Stainless steel lip jackets.  Gonna fix the one bend and then redo the lips completely on all four.

Installed leds in my climate control. Some of the light bulbs where out so they needed replacing. I first started with some drop in leds, but the light was not spread out  well. I took the leds of the sockets and soldered the leds to the climate control pcb. That help out a bit, but not perfect. The leds for the clock just twist in. I probably do the gauges this weekend.

welded up 2 flowmaster mufflers (used) i bought the other day.. kinda disappointed, not as raunchy as i wanted it to be. but i guess thats what comes with flowmasters that you dont know what series mufflers they are... cant go wrong with $60 for the pair... 
 
and on a side note, after i welded it up and started it up, it smelt sooooo stink... after about 2mins of letting it run, came to the conclusion that the guy i bought them from must have pee'd in them everyday for like 3years... smelt so rank.... i think i gotta let it run all day tomorrow while im at work to burn off the smell.... 
 
i might switch it up and do a dual in/out single muffler instead of true duals...

That was what was under the stainless steel lips.  If the other two are in the same shape underneath I may just touch them up and be done, if not I may strip the black off and just polish the wheel itself...

haha.. i actually cut 2 coils out of the springs till i source all my s14 front parts and coilovers..

Got my green HID Fogs moved to the Y.:biggthumpup: Been sitting for like 2 years and one ballast went bad. Haha so had to wait for a replacement.

im contemplating wheel specs for another widebodyQ ha ha- can anyone help? i found a  junked 99 y33 on island - going to cop the tail lights, fenders, quarter panels, stripping, woodgrain, clock, and the touring wing and a few other things this evening...it has front end damage so the headlights are cracked but i might just cop for the housing

Unlike the baller Jermaine that posted before me, I changed my airbag to match the i30 wood steering wheel I've had since forever so now the bottom two spokes line up right. I got a tab thing that changes the vents direction since I was missing the driver side one. And I put a gas cap holder on my gas door. Haha. Ballin on a budget. Fml. But plans are being made, including new rims and new body kit. Haha. We'll see. But I still am in need of a smart start, some I.C.E., at least a double din and headrest monitors, and maybe I'll redo the interior before mounting the kit since most people start outside in.

Found some ABS knuckles/spindles, used Tein inner/outer tierod ends, and talked to BC Racing about getting some coilovers out to me.  Those guys are really cool.  Definitely willing to help someone out with mixing and matching parts.  
Still searching for ABS hubs...  Found some new on the fleaBay, but rather get used ones for a discount.  
Looking at ISIS arms, but kind of iffy...

scratch the s550 foglights, i picked up the LS600h fogs again, this time i managed to pick them up with the entire wire harness and some bad ass retro fitted JDM headlights w/ projectors and new

failed at s14 conversion and only got one corner done today. Stupid LCA Ball Joints owned me.

Custom lights look great when done properly. the after market custom that are mass produced are meh. One-offs are fresh.

Those Fortissimo Fogs are gangsta, I wanted to do a retro using those too, when I got to the body work stage

Personally I've always liked the non HID headlights for the Y33s and of course just about anything w/ LEDs is a win for me
 
I would love to have projectors but I've never really seen a setup that I've liked......curious to see how these look when the car is done

it will look dope - i've surprised most so far - no confidence pcakes - i'm offended he he nah but, how am i i'm i going to have some dope fogs without the headlights to compliment - it goes hand and hand - cant have one without the other

yay new foglamp bulbs -- one burned out. amazon has hella bulbs for $4, eligible for amazon prime. the shipping probably cost more than the bulb =X

I let the wife drive it. haha. 10x harder when you see a girl roll in it hitting switches. i need to get rid of the antenna though. looks like a straight RC car.

I just unpluged the harness goin into the antenna and manually lifted it up till it matches with the roof line. Still get radio stations and it dont look like an RC car either

eventually im gonna shave it, but ill probably unplug it for now and get a window antenna one or something. cuz yeah... that shit was waaaaaaaaack.

Spent all afternoon rewiring my car-pc and finishing off some wiring for the air suspension. then as the sun was going down started working on installing my JDM president lights. got up to removing the old ones before calling it a night. Ate dinner and did some wiring for the relays for them and have them ready to go in. I'll post pics soon, but I'm hoping to get the lights put in early in the morning before I go to class and then work. Sooooo all in all today was productive and got a lot done I think i went through 200 worth of wiring and still have a little more to do. But I'm off to bed for now.

I'm curious to see that Car PC.  They've always looked dope.  
I took apart some of the lighting fixtures to figure out which bulbs I need.  LED soon.  
 
Also ordered the Garson curtains Junction VIP has on the pre-order.  Suspension parts should be in next week.

i started stripping my wrecked q45. trying to do a 99-00 conversion on my 98 q

Working on redoing my grill to remove the Infiniti logo and customizing it. Its rough right now and I need to do some more sanding to get it ready to paint. I will be painting the insides black, leaving the mesh silver and the slats a flat silver/gunmetal.

And you shoud have an option to turn off the antenna. I'm pretty sure mine had one, but I never listen to the radio and w/ my D3 + ipod I never need to :biggthumpup:

I gots a HK Drive and Play for the ipod connected to my stock deck. 
It's the only thing that keeps me sane, cause if I had to hear the radio all day, i'd kill myself cause that sh!t sucks. And if you get the FM modulator for it, you're antenna don't gotta be in RC mode

I received my S14 ABS spindles today.  Also received my used driver's side window switch panel.  My car was smoked in by previous owners, and there was a little burn mark on the woodgrain.  Bugged me.  So I found this piece on the eBay for cheeeeap.  Scooped it up.

 Personally, I'm planning on getting all of mine from Autolumination.com, Garage1217.com, and oznium.com.  I've been taking my dash apart figuring out what bulbs I need.  I think I have it all figured out.  
 
I received my Tein inner and outer tierods and my power steering pump bracket.  Replaced my power steering belt, too.  Lady I bought the car from said it needed a new pump.  Nope.  Just a belt.  :dance:  Adjusted the hood and also adjusted the passenger front door striker.  Door shuts like a champ now.  :biggthumpup:

New wheels...19x9.5, 19x11 +2 F and +0 R offsets...stretched tires FTW...

Full black VSXX w/ gold rivets..Teaser for now...i'll post better pix once i get my shoot done..

my friend actually owns a tint shop and he carries LED bulbs...and he had all the sizes i needed

Had my rear tires flipped since they werebald on the inside.

U never did the conversion yet Oscar? Kits rims and air first huh?!? Haha. I had to do the small things first but yeah it changes the feeling of the interior. But yeah nicks old ride. New owners name is Brian (turbosilvia ####)

as for me, changed my pad and rotors. Found my inner front tires are showing steel already, tried to have them flipped but no one wants to touch them. Fml.

Naw, when I first bought mine, I went fusa, kitsuna, rims, rims again, airrunner, curtains, kit + exhaust and now rims again

if I had to do it all over again it would have been suspension first forsure! :pat:

Edit -  S-chassis conversion? If I did that, then I'd be rollin official! :biggthumpup:
I plan on getting it started with in these next few months, but I got see how far we can take it w/ bags. We won't be able to have the stiff suspension travel that coil-over cats have w/ springs (bags aren't still and travel alot) and I got see what we can do w/o making the bag rub on everything. This is why I want to switch to the airrunner coil-over kit when I can :biggthumpup:

I WANT A Q45 SO SO BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD

Jus got the Q back! :runcoold: Feels so good to be rollin again in my own sh*t! w/ my own music, in my own seats! :dance: The shop it went to did a really good job w/ the paint/dent so far....(You can't see the flaws until months later after a few washes :P). I got a brand new rear windshield w/ new moldings and new tint which I REALLY needed. Funny though because I'll be replacing all the tint...
 
Here's the negatives that I notice :sad:
- Looks like my hood his off aligned and will need to be readjusted :pat:
- Glass still in the trunk :pat:
- Driver side headlight is all yellow and clouded up and will need to be replaced :pat:
- Valve cover-gasket needs to be replaced ASAP! :pat:
- Still need to get my front tires replaced from the Fckery that happened b4 :pat:
 
Bottom line, glad to have the car back. Now reallity of being broke and trying to get this thing up to par continues.....:saiyancrunks:

valve cover gasket job on a Y33 is pretty easy, I've done 3 so far, costs like $50 in parts, and while you are in there might as well replace the spark plugs

damn for $1100 i got my spark plugs/knock sensors changed. flush and change tranny filter. oil change all with eneos oil! but i didnt go thru the stealership. i went thru my homies shop which specializing in alot of time attack and drift cars.

^ not to shabby.

Rented a storage unit to clear out some space in my garage. Will be posting up a bunch of stuff for sale.  Be on the look out for my thread.

Drove my car on S14 on Sunday. It was nice!

Drove my Y50 on Saturday, think my wheel is bent.  Oh well, maybe time for some real VIP wheels and some cups.
