Deals and Steals on Yahoo Auctions Japan, UPGARAGE, etc

I'm almost finished with my car but I still search for parts. This is a place to share the deals and steals from other sites that we may come across - I know some people try to keep things to themself but lets support the vendors that are able to purchase these items. The VIP scene seems to be blowing up and parts are becoming more available in the U.S. Market but lets face it, the best deals are in JAPAN for the smaller items. The ultimate goal is to sucessfully build a VIP car but most new comers can not do so without the proper guidance.

Also be sure to share the best useful searches for wheels, platforms, and so on IE: Dont search just Y33 or you are going to come up with Gloria parts Cedric Parts and so on:

Platform Search Options:
Y33 CIMA = y33 シーマ
LED = y33 シーマ LED
TAILIGHTS = y33 シーマ テール
Interior OEM parts = y33 シーマ ウッド

LS600 = UVF46

Wheel Search Options:
19インチタイヤホイールセット = 19" wheels

these are just a few but lets keep this going

EliteAutoStyle - JDM Palace

I hear nothing but good things but I'm in no way shape or form representing them

I just know a lot of my time and efforts go to waste in searching for parts - its addicting but I have most of what I need and it took me awhile to be able to narrow my searches down to what I need, why put newcomers to through that same struggle.

^lol! Coo, thanks bro. Let me know asap :). Oh can you ask if that's the case wid all the upgarages.

idk, maybe you only deal with one upgarage, so I want to know if this is an all upgarage policy.

maybe size or weight matters, cuz all I buy there are wheels

I'd imagine that its different policy for each store, i just know from my experience if i bought an item over 100 from any store, i did not pay shipping from the store to my inlaws house but there has been circumstances when i bought two items under 100 that was from 2 difference stores and i still had to pay shipping for both items - it may only apply to a certain store but i asked my wife to invesitgate and she is usually good with those type of things so i'll give an update, lastly im just speaking from my experience - if i was not able to source parts from Japan I would be one broke man

I think it was $300 for free shipping. Atleast time I checked it was. Probably a special or something.

Also
内装 = interior
外装 = exterior
車高調 = Suspension (i.e. coilovers)
足回り= Susoension (general, Tension rods, arms, controllers)
テールライト = Tail light
へードライト = Headlight
スポイラー = Spoiler
リア = Rear
アッパー = Upper
アーム = Arm
ピロー = Pillow (Pillowball)
ホイール = Wheel
インチ = Inch
All I can think of right now.

Also note that anybody shipping or acting as middle man has service needs that should be met as well. I always pay my friends and extra bit for taking the time to prepare the package and ship it to me it's only fair. So try not to bash to much on vendors who do the middle man work. They are also using thier time (time = money) to assist you in getting something that is not as easily accessible.

so say i buy a $30 item and a $100 item from the same shop, would that include the same free shippin for both the items?
Or just the 1?

Bum scoop on my behalf - My wife confirmed - on occasion they will make an acception or run a promotion but its not concrete or written in stone and case by case - different store different policy

so no free shipping

and I fully agree that it is very time consuming - gas, packaging, exhange rate, and over all time - I think for the most part the middle men here are very reasonable

We offer both yahoo and upgarage service, and as you said sometimes people don't understand there is going to be some inland shipping fee, usually for set of wheels is about $45 and min is around $12, and aero depends on the size and what's included.

The other issue we have with them is packaging. The items there don't go far so they don't bother with boxing them up and just bubble wrap them and ship them out and most of the time they do COD so you have the option to accept the package or not if there is any damage. So for us as middle man we have to get the parts ready for international shipping and that's not cheap.

For every transaction in Japan there is either COD Fee or Bank transfer fee, and they charge 5% tax on pretty much everything there.

Just some point to clear things up,

Let me know if you guys needed any help with them, on smaller items we ship EMS And Aero we ship with our container and then ship to you from our shop, wheels depends on the size and state but most of the time we ship Fed Ex air, it seems to be the best option for a little extra money.

Yeah legit... Used height controllers arent that expensive; especially since anyone serious about going low usually ditches the stock suspension for coilovers/airbags.

I have purchased about 50 items from YAJ persnally. I am not a vendor nor do I advertise as such. I mostly post on zilvia in the s-chassis Easter egg thread. People pm me and want the things I post, most of which is from YAJ. Therefor I can get most items, the only real downside us shipping. The cost of my last box was $363 for about 50lbs if parts.

Most items are rare to find here that's why YAJ is so apealing. I go through rinkya and the charge a fee of $15 per auction + $10 if it's over 1000¥ then more for more ¥. When you apply the $25 to an auction it doesn't seem the cheap. You also get charged a fee if the item is heavy. I shipped a head unit and a headlight and it was almost $130. Granted that is 3 day EMS.

It would be benefical to check our vendors here so you could get rid of some of the hidden charges. I have had more than one instance the auction was to good to be true and it most likly is.

Finally before you bid or inquire make sure you at least google translate and look over the provided pictures very well.

Good luck to all and if I come across a good deal I will share with all.

I believe UCF30 and UCF31 front bumpers are slightly different. Thought you had an 04-06?

ucf30/31 is irrelevant, just means 31 has stock air and 30 didn't. Need to check the ~ MC and MC ~ which means before and after model change which is the 01-03 and 04-06. I can't make out which one it is though since my chrome isn't translating the page.

Hmm an all these years I thought 01-03 was UCF30 and 04-06 was UCF31.

That bumper is for before m/c (01-03).

Look on the top part of bumper, there is an extension that is part of the bumper that goes between the hood and headlight corner to make it complete. Before MC is completely flat there.

After mc (best pic i can find)

I wasn't sure either because some say "late ufc30/31," so what I should be looking for are the "fins" on top? There was another set-up like the red one but it was black or dark gray...but I was checking out the red one to see if it'd work because it appears to be a good deal....plus I have a few military buddies there who can get it at their house and send it my way.

Well if I had the funds laying around, I would probably pick that bumper up....

But yes, look for the extension or fins, if you will, for after m/c.

Ship item to me ¥2,500
Bank fee to pay seller ¥500
My commission ¥1,000
Shipping to Aus, NZ or US via EMS assuming 10.0 kg ¥14,000
