19 X 9, 19 X 10 tire sizes?

What do you think would be the best tire specs on 19 X 9 and 19 X 10?  I am looking at a mild stretch and the tires need to atleast hold 1353 LBS each.  Would really love to go crazy stretch but with the roads here in Hawaii as well as the modification laws (RECON) I don't think that I can pull off that look.  Thanks ahead of time.  Please list tire size (obviously), weight rating, as well as brand.  Kind of looking through some previous posts as well (should of done first...I know I know..my bad) and I read a lot of 235/35 and 245/35 recommendations.  Any how....please keep them coming.  I want a "good look" while being "legal" at the same time.  Normally they don't "blend" very well together but figure I got to atleast give it a shot.  Oh yeah if you guys can post up pics (if you have them) you guys recommend.

As a side note how do you think 255/35 all around would look?  Will it even give it a mild stretch look?

235 and 245 are just fine

i agree, a mild stretch.

i would do a 235/35 and a 245/35..
but if i can run a 40, it would help more cushion for the pushin

215/35 and 225/35. 

Thats what im running on wheel sizes 19x9+6 / 19x10 +0 nice stretch but you lose on comfort and noise.

Really depends if these are your weekend wheels or daily wheels.

Suko i know what you're saying and pretty much anything more than what anto says will be more than what you'd want.

235-35 and 265-30 are fine. a 45 on the rear would end up being more than what you want. and a 225 in the front would be too much for you as well.

If this is going on a previa... you can't really run tires that large either... 225/245 would be good

Thanks One Ton VIP....was not aware that I could'nt go bigger than those sizes.  I was look at a set of 255/35 but I guess its a no go huh?  Thank you for saving me some wasted monies!  

Okay so I have narrowed it down to the following tires. I am either looking at Fronts 235/35 on a 9" and 235/35 or 245/35 on a 10".  Out of those options which set up do you guys think would look best?  Had to throw our the 225's because I don't believe that they would hold the minimum weight of 1353 LBS. What do you think of a 235/35 all around? Anyone have any pics of a 235/35 on a 10" wheel? Also and pics of a 235/35 on a 9" wheel?

Hope this helps..It's 18's though..

Fronts: 18x9 with 225/40/18

Rears: 18x10.5 with 235/40/18

It did not state the wheel offset though..

To run the 10s in back, you're going to have to run flares anyway... in which case, you're not too limited on tire size. But imo, I'd recommend going with no wider than 235/255 at most even with flares

If I could pull off 40 series I almost wouldn't mind trying being that I would like to protect my investment. Only thing is if I went 40 series rubber I don't think that it would look right. On 18's mos def 40 series to fill the fender gap but 19's I think that I am going to have to take my chances and brave the pot hole covered Hawaii roads.

With the offsets that I got I should be able to get away with minimal fender work.....if any. Hopefully this time everything works out to specs. But then again I was not able to decifer the "disk" so I maybe S%$# out of luck again. LOL

After looking at some TREND WAGON as well as some STYLE WAGON past issues I stumbled on a 235/35 and a 245/30 set up. It actually looks really good. I was kind of concerned with a 30 series in the back but with most of the weight distributed on the Previas on the nose I don't think that it would be too much of a concern. Also the Previa's A$$ tends to be higher that the front so the 30 series just might make enough of a difference. Wish I could post up some pics.......got a scanner but ain't too good with computers and don't know how to post up the pics. LOL Hard to teach an old dog new tricks you know.

Let me know what you all think of a 235/35 and 245/30 set up...once again on 9" and 10".

the prob with the previa is not just the lack of room to go outwards in the rear, but there's not much room on the inside wheelwell either. You can actually get a good view of everything if you took off the interior panels... unlike a lot of normal sedans/coupes, with a minivan like this, you can have full view of the whole wheel tub, so you can see what you're up against. A 10" wheel, even with an offset that will technically place it inside the outside fender, will be precariously close to the inside fender. So definitely run stretched tires... and expect to have a little bit of rubbing... most likely when the car leans... even after you get the wheels sitting perfectly in the wheelwells. BTW, DEFINITELY get an adjustable lateral rod/panhard bar for the rear...

Thanks for the advise. I am figuring that I should not have that much suspension travel due to the fact that I am running my TEIN Super Wagon Coil-Overs at "Full Stiff". But I may have to "soften" so that it takes "most" of the bumps along the road. I am planning on going with a 235/35 front and a 245/30 rear set up. Anyone got pics of these spec on a 9" and 10"?

Hmm I keep forgetting you're trying to not flare the fenders.. in which case, the narrower the better still. And just for refence, that orange estima with the 20" Work LS406s is only running 225s on his 20x9.5s... and his fenders are quite worked. I'd recommend *against* a 215 in front, so with a 225 front on the 9, you'll prob want to go to a 235 in the back, as the same 225 on the 10 would look "smaller" from a side profile view cuz it'll be more streched...

And you wouldn't want to run 235/35 and 245/30 together because the 245 is actually smaller in diameter than the 235.

DAMN! I love rootbeer. 

I am not afraid of doing minor fender work to make the wheels fit. But not to the point where I would need to fab a sliding hinge for the side door to not hit the fender. Hopefully the new "used" wheels will be able to do this. The reasoning behind running a 30 series tires in the back would be to bring the back down. My current suspension set up is TEIN Coil-overs and both front and rear are cranked all the way down. With this set up my front is lower than the rear....kind of like "hot rod" style (nothing wrong with that look.....just not what I am going after). After looking through the mags and seeing this type of tire/wheel combo I think it is the look that I am trying to achieve. Mild stretch, front and rear of the vehicle level, want more rubber between me and the road but what you going to do right?

or at very least. f 225 r 235.....
