haha, tbh, the fender doesnt REALLY stick between the tire and lip like that (tho thats the look id go for if i was aired out.) there was a slant where i parked. it wasnt intentional, but when i got out i was like THATS AWESOME. the other cell phone pics give a true representation of how it sits.

meh the scariest part is on bumps due to the stretch, scared of debeading...but the f'ed up part of the tire doesnt touch the ground so im not too worried about that.

The rear shot looks sick and so does the car overall. Being super low is the #1 most important thing about vip. Although you are low with coilovers (and were lower at one point) tucking would allow you to sit it lower. Even if its only by a couple mm's. A few options you can do is Pull the fender out more. Pull it until the wheel appears to be flush to the fender but can go under the fender when the wheel compress. Radius the quarter panel. Means to cut the arch higher. You would also need to tub your inner fender in the process. This would allow you to pursue the flush fitment while sitting lower Or just get a body kit that hangs lower. Either way the car looks sick. Just offering advice
car is nice...never liked when too much tire shows in the rear or fronts... FLARE IT! btw how much to get those annodized lips done?

lol your shits hella slammeddd
I know you said you had some plans but I think some nice deep 17s would look so good on there. Best part is that 17s are cheap and so are tires. If you do go that route, run a lower profile tire in the rear so it doesn't tuck. It would look so ill

cant wait to see the outcome of this
looks crazy but sick!
wow! subscribed
crazy, just curious why you went with a low offset 10 rather than a bigger width and higher offset.
i drive a fwd and with this sizing, to avoid going TOO wide with bodywork, camber will be needed. this will create backspacing issues
have you measured backspacing? Seems like even with -8 camber you could have gone with a 19x12 -7 and a 255 out back which looks a lot more badass IMO.
new wheels lookin kleen!
pardon my bluntness, but what would give you the impression or make it "seem" like a 19x12 would work? i HAVE measured back spacing, and YES when i was on the eurolines which were 19x10, i would hit my suspension with the amount of camber i had. i did want 9.5/10.5 but there was a misunderstanding during the ordering process. as much as i would like to go 12" wide, or even 11" wide, with the amount of camber im anticipating, 10 was the smart choice.
well I've personally seen and helped fit 18x10 +6 on a TL which at the time had something ridiculous like -10 or -11 camber and still had space in the back. Not taking anything away from your choice though, 19x10 -32 offset is pretty sick.
This is gona be THE SICKEST TL when u get done with this badboy, haterz take that take that

Love the fitment
Nice I have missed alot going on in here cant wait to see how this looks mang

damn that is sick! A nice changed from all the A-Spec TL's

heres some pics to get a feel for the clearance under my car...i only had my cell phone so i tried to edit in on there as best i could so you could actually see anything, its real over cast here atm. of course with the darkness and angles, its not completely accurate, but its enough to get an idea. lowest part is about a half inch off the ground. imma be visiting the muffler shop soon to see if i can either get it tucked more, and if not, then a custom straight pipe for more clearance so i can go even lower.
Sick. I love that bumper, glad you went ahead and got it. This is going to look nuts
is it possible to merge fiberglass with a poly? anyways your TL is gonna look nutttssss
It can be done but its not the best route to go. Look for an after market fiberglass TL bumper, and merge them both. It will save you headaches down the road
I'm with Agi... You can mold the TL poly bumper to the fiberglass. Lord makes a Fusor product that will do that, but fiberglass with fiberglass is a much better bond. I've helped with molding poly bumpers to cars with Fusor. Works great and I haven't had one crack out. Looks good, bro!!!
hmm, if it can be done i might try this too.
i was thinking along the lines of fabbing up brackets that will mount to my car the same way the stock bumper does...will that not work?
yup, that's the best way to do it...
i love conversions!!!!! PROPS!!!! first presibent, now tl460.
damn son! hit me up if you need any help.
That's going to be a real good LOOK... Yes Sir
sick!!!
can't wait to see it done
Bonkers, just plain bonkers. Good luck on the proj!!!
yup change the gs headlights too...og right there with the conversions
how well does it match up with the stock bumper as far as the dimensions go? Looks like they can chop the headlight holes and section the bumper.
The GS is alittle wider. Since hes pulling out the front fenders for the wheels, he may be able to get away with the added width without chopping it down the middle if he pulls out the entire fender
thats gonna look sick. and yeah sean drop my kit then yours...
So sick, this will be clean... I cant wait to see it in person.... (at one of the meets)
the dimensions are almost spot on..thats the main reason i went with the version for the gs, the dimensions are pretty damn similar in terms of size, and the headlights have that same aggressive shape and angle, hence the almost spot on bodyline underneath it.
F*ckin sick Bein fiberglass, ya ain't afraid it gonna crack bein that low. At least poly's got some give, but fiberglass has little to none. You gangsta for rollin like that. 1/2" :turbonoes_3:
The insanely wide wheels are way too much IMO but I'm lookin forward to seeing you pull off this kit conversion, should be interesting......
they arent insanely wide, only on my car :pat: haha im the same way, im against half assed attempts at big wheels just to set records. rest assured, i didnt just pic out the most aggressive numbers i could, i measured and drew out exactly what i wanted, and this process will be very slow, as i will make no compromises and take no short cuts or cheap alternatives.
Well on that note Hahaha....really lookin forward to this

I'm going to the shop on Tuesday...hahah there might be spoilers!!!
haha i doubt its been touched.
damn whats taking u so long adrian?
What's with that bumper? It looks like a GS front bumper? *edit* NVM it IS a GS front bumper...I'm definitely going to the shop Tuesday!
LiCelsior;332567 wrote:damn whats taking u so long adrian?
damn whats taking u so long adrian?
the $10,000 dollar bill, not including the parts, lol. im 20 and far from rich

so i went down to the shop to install my brakes, and i got some progress pics. obviously, theres a ton of work still left to go, but at least the wheels can fit on the car to mold around lol. as for the fronts, got the brakes on, put the 15mm spacer, and the wheel still didnt clear the brakes. luckily i had a 5mm spacer as well to use for bodywork, and i just ordered some new 20mm spacers for when i get the car back. this puts the front sizing at 19x9-40 :O all because i wanted concave lol
NICE! on the LXZ and the BBK looks good so far
damn lol, just match the front camber to the rear and you'll be good!
:eek2: dammm ...
Damm this is one serious build... !! Lookin good so far..
looks like what we talked about...lookin' good...tell him to cut further where the bumper meets the 1/4 and staggar the cuts up towards the fuel door...
had to blog this homie !
looks like its going to be just as what you talked to me about at the vsc bbq in pleasanton two years ago. =)
this guy been schemen'...the rims are gonna set it off...
Looking good A. Only bone I have to pic is that I think they mounted your tires going the wrong way bro...or is it possible they just test mounted them for the body work on oppsite sides?...none the less, gonna be DOEP!!!
Cant wait to see this done Adrian!! Gonna be sweet!!
Man that's gonna look so hot.
rear looks good, the fronts...idunno man.
fender work looks promising. way too agressive for my tastes and i think you could have done better with the sizing (9 -40 is about the most ridiculous spec ever) but i hope it turns out to your liking.
great to see the progress happening... you're one crazy dude... looking good so far... Those wheel specs are insane... :yahoo_35:
WTF?!?!?!? You take the expression, "Go big or go home," for reals. Got my fingers crossed for ya, that they can pull off your vision. Right now it's lookin like a FWD drag car. I like your steppin up to the plate with somethin like this though
It's going to be Billy Bad Ass! Keep up the killer work!
damn -40 thats ridic.. cant wait to see the finished product
The TL has lots of rear quarter to play with cause the bumper starts so low. Looking good so far. Hopefully you can pull the front off as well
i wasnt planning on needing a 20 mm spacer to clear the brakes, so hopefully we can still pull it off. I will def be getting new wheels as soon as im tired of the LXZ, and it WONT BE 9-40 lolol. once the coils are compressed, the camber helps a little, and we gonna add a fender vent in there to hopefully help it flow a bit more. i was the one test fitting for pictures, so i didnt care to check the tires. and dennis, i want you to know me not working with you had nothing to do with trust, only financial issues. i appreciate you taking the time to meet with me.
Rears look awesome so far , Hopefully they can do magic on the fronts =)
and dennis, i want you to know me not working with you had nothing to do with trust, only financial issues. i appreciate you taking the time to meet with me.
nah man, its all g...props to that shop that took your car in...that is a LOT of work...what shop you take it to? next time i'm in the area maybe i'll go check it out... always nice to bounce ideas off someone who's willing to go to extremes...
so the front is more aggressive than the rear?
Your really going insane with this one, can't wait to see some more updates.
Damn -40 with 20mm to clear brakes?? doesn't seem like alot of thought was put into ordering your wheels or brakes..
This is going to be an exciting Thread, Everybody get your popcorn!
@ tommie. i had planned to use a 15mm, didnt pan out. an extra 5mm isnt too much more than what i HAD planned for.
order new front wheels and sell the current ones. ur not gonna like the front fender outcome.
Yea just get two Front non concaves in a high disk. You will be happier in the end. If you were to do it the way you are now and not like the outcome, you will still have to pay for the labor/paint and end up getting new fenders/bumper to work on. When you consider that you can get most of your money back in selling your current front wheels, why not do it? You will save in the long run and your car will come out closer to how u want it. Also, its not like ur loosing lip. The concave robs u of lip and you have a huge spacer on top of that. Even by going less aggressive and getting a hi disk, you should still have the same amount of lip

Dang....I know his dad will be able to pull off the fender works..but dang. That's pretty out there! Oh by the way, why is your tire on backwards? =)

Some of our ny brethren need to cool the jets, a couple comments could be seen as provocative and I'd like to respectfully ask everyone to be mature about expressing their opinions. @ addy, YES YES YES!! Andy will pull it off right :runcoold: did he say how long until more updates?
just giving our opinions there brando. FAK U, fix ur phone
The front is not even that bad. Are you planning to stretch the tires more? Nice build!
niiiicccceeeeeeee
i def wanna stick with 235/35 on the rears..just so much more convenient than the 225/35 i ran on my previous setup. as for the fronts...its a 215/35/19 on 9..i know they dont make a smaller tire in 35 profile for me, so what is suggested?
sick buildup, can't wait to see finished pics of the front fitment. if it sticks out that much, when it is compressed, how bad is it?
Adrian, I think they should be able to pull the fenders enough to close the gap with new bumper since it's wider than what you have and I'm sure the car is going to look Awesome, just make sure the front flares are not wider than rears like some other projects :pat:
:eek2: This is going to be crazy. Can't wait to see it done.
projected finish date is sometime in december. Supposedly the rear fenders are just about done, so ill be going down next weekend (not this weekend) and will take some shots if they meet my approval.
damn sick ride...goodluck! hope everything will be a success

mmk so....first off, yes my car is wide and no, its not for everybody. Second, the obligatory "PICTURES DONT DO IT JUSTICE," but in this case it really is true, especially in regards to the front bumper... for those who know me well, im very picky and meticulous, and im absolutely amazed by the quality and look of the bodywork thus far. anyway, here are some updated progress pictures. Its not really that bad, just fucked up from all the rolling and pulling on it. 400 a corner doesnt sound too bad. Thanks
he is probably gonna say it depends on car and there is custom stuff along with and its been packaged so i really dont know.. but i wouldn put it past me if it wasnt like 400 a corner or more
400 a corner is cheap. depends on how wide you want to go also tho, and as stated, im also respraying the car and i got that front bumper being fit in so thats affecting my price. the wider you want to go, the higher up the quarter panels they got to modify...not only is this more work, but the higher you go, the harder the work gets. i widened the car A LOT so i also had to widen the bumpers with plastic welding. i dont wanna talk figures in this thread, but if you like, feel free to PM me and i can tell you what i paid for EVERYTHING. but all i know is when i hit the pedal and vtec engages, all youre gonna hear is BIPUUUUUUU!!!!!!!

Hella Sick! Keep up the good work:biggthumpup:
I'm liking it..
That's putting in major work... However, I noticed that the body shop only widened and radiused the rear fenders between the 10 o'clock and 3 o'clock range... leaving the most crucial area untounched on the TL... which is basically the 10'o'clock to 7 o'clock range... which involves widening the plastic rear bumper. Looks like your bodyshop left the rear bumper / quarter panel intercept at factory location. This is where most of the rubbing happens on this car and if left as is, you will not be able to roll at that height without rubbing all day everyday. it's just how the rear suspension travels on this car. It's not a plum vertical movement, it angles backwards slickly, hence why your rolling video has so much rubbing noise. Just felt like giving you this information again cuase it seems like you didnt properly communicate it to your body shop. Dont want you to have all this work done and you cant roll properly. Good Luck...

Good Luck...
I appreciate the input, Rodney. I remembered this being an issue with my previous setups (i just used toe as a temporary solution, which wasnt very forgiving on my tires). It's hard to tell from the most recent pics, but the bumper and intercept were both widened (the bumper with plastic welding). The reason you cant tell is because while the stock bumper has been widened already, the aspec lip has yet to be touched. We've test driven the car at road speeds multiple times with no rubbing. While I am going to go with an adjustable suspension (the cups or kw previously posted), I am also going with stiffer springs, and with them, i shouldnt feel the need to raise the rear while driving. dammmm!
smaller vents are more proportionate to your car...looks better i think...
X2 on the smaller vents. Cant wait to see this one completed

What about an isf'ish kind of thing to carry the line through? Craptastical quick chop, but you get the idea:
^ i like that
I have no PS skills, but what about a modification to el pres' idea, and rounding the top of the vent over a bit more to match the wheel arch more closely, or exactly? Too drastic? Beyond that, el pres has the best idea so far imo.
I actually tried that way first, but it didn't look as good.
Should have figured given what I've seen as your eye. Given that, I vote for #3.
my first thought was to use a is-f or evo x style vent...you guys got my idea down pact tho..using the body line that goes across my car as the top of the vent, rather than creating a vent surrounding it that would clash. the only problem with your idea, ElPresidente, is that the lower you go, the area between my door and the wheel well is VERY small. it leaves little space for a fender vent, and in your chop, its actually cutting into the door. iono how i feel about a door vent haha as for the angle matching the curvature of the well better, its actually better how presidente envisioned it. because this is an older pic, you cant see how drastic of a flare was used up front. the angle depicted will actually flow better with the end product.
That's why it'll work. The door turns in and the vent edge would be out further (due to the new front fender design) so when the door opens it will have plenty of clearance...I think. Haha..
SUPP Adrian, your Ride is lookin siiiicckkk.... your wheels are deeper than mine... wth? hahaha
can i play? shaped body line instead of an actual vent.
lol adrian you wont do z3 vents =)

oh doctor!!!
the car is now in my possession and i couldnt be happier with my experience with Masters Autobody..however, more on that later. first...oh man, what a day. so the day started at 6 am, with my room mate driving his http://i56.tinypic.com/2uogxza.jpg. we rented our trailer from Uhaul at 7am and took off to pick up my car. By 8, disaster already stuck. bam, rock chip flies and cracks his windshield...okay no big deal, its bound to happen. next, while exiting the freeway, the trailer broke traction and hydroplaned bringing our truck with it...spinning out into the ditch. the truck would have flipped, but the trailer kept us grounded....because it whip lashed in the other direction into and under the truck causing the rear bumper to be destroyed, the bed dented, the sidestep destroyed, and the trailer's hydraulic system to break...good thing i bought the insurance. so after regathering our senses, and taking it to a local uhaul to make sure its still safe to drive, we finished our trek to the shop. once there we learned the car would not fit on the trailer that i just spent money on and that just owned my roommates truck, because its too wide and too low. Upon getting a new trailer, the standard hour was spent trying to get it on (with the front suspension maxed out in height), and another hour trying to get the rear lights to work. On the way home the car goes, and BAM, it starts POURING on my brand new, freshly painted and detailed car. oh, and ANOTHER rock pummels the windshield leaving another crack. we get home and now since we dont have to worry about using up anyones time but our own, we get to work on fitting this car on the trailer...after a few hours we finally get the car on the trailer by maxing the height on my coilovers, securing 2x4s to the trailor it self to boost my car even higher to fit on the trailer, and switching all the wheels to my stocks..this was a long 6am-10pm and it looks like tomorrow at wekfest will be just as hectic seeing as to how i need to get it off the trailer and all the parts put back on, just to switch it back out for the ride home. the reason im not driving the car to wekfest is because 1, the car was just finished so i have no time for alignment, and 2, all of my coils are blown, and just plain not stiff enough as it is. onto why masters autobody was such a pleasant experience..i always felt comfortable knowing i made the right decision bringing my car to this shop, but today solidified the feeling. The staff has always been courteous, feeding me when ever i made the trip down etc etc, but today was over the top. i had mentioned that we used a seperate trailer to tow the car to San Jose..it was Master's trailer...thats right, they DELIVERED THE CAR TO ME 2 hours away, for no charge, and believe me, i tried to pay them (even threatened to mail them cash hahaha)..also, while we were waiting for the new trailer to be ready, andy, the owner and 6hift on these boards, let me take his mercedes to get something to eat...these are great people..if youre in norcal, youd be stupid to not at least consider these people...you wont find better work elsewhere, you wont find comparable work for this pricepoint, and you wont find better customer service. so, now that i got the car back, whats next? suspension, interior, audio, details details and more details, both big (body color) and small (lighting, etc) thanks for this build go out to Andy, his family, and Aaron @ Masters Autobody in Oakdale, Ca Sean @ JDM PALACE Grant @ Fresh Like Sushi Everyone at vsc for the support and inspiration..big thanks to John, Mike Denoga, Brandon, and Ronald for the more specific help and favors they have done for me over the course of the build. Freddie @ Auto Fashion All my friends who probably don't visit this forum but followed the build My girlfriend and my roommate Tony
Can't wait to see this tomorrow.

haha pics from wekfest will be up soon im sure, but im not gonna get the car shot professionally or anything until a few more expensive pieces come together..(expensive = long wait atm lol) kinda dissapointed with how my car was shown at the show...i tried to lower it back down after taking it off the trailer, but i didnt have enough time to level everything out so the front was way too high...also, with out an alignment, my front camber was all out of whack..some kids tried to talk shit saying im cheating thinking im just lowering the car for the show, but w/e what do they know, i ended up taking 1st place Acura so all the hardships were worth it. alexisthemovie...i saw your car..tried looking for you, but dont know what you look like lol.
sweet deal! people are like that though. Quick to assume and hate before they know the facts. I mean how hard is it to ask someone. Did you look in the face to ride thread lol

i was able to dial in this side of the car pretty good with all things considered and no camber..the other side of the car, not so much :smiley-rofl: as for driving the car, i drove around san francisco with stocks up front, but with the rear wheels on. glad to report the rear wheels DONT RUB even on the mean streets and hills of SF
! More please!
Just a touch more front camber and it looks like you could drive it around. I can't even imagine what it must look like rolling. SF streets destroyed my car. Mustve ripped out a hundred reflectors.
Front fitment when the fenders were raw metal was perfect. What happened between then and the finish that changed the front fitment?
he raised up the car so he could get on the trailer, lol.
bosssyyyy. this car makes me horny
hope you don't mind... found some pics of your car at wekfest, I didn't even go but now knowing that your car was there Damn! its come a long way man Congrats! lots of pics on the internet man!!! GOOD STUFF!!!
bumper is dope, mesh coulda been another color or something, looks out of place. damn those front wheels poke...shouldve went a tad less aggressive Adrian, especially since u went the static route. now go hit up Lombard st :P.
needs a new grill, fix that poke, and the mesh does really throw me offf anywho looks nice and looks like superb bodywork
hahaha common people read! haha nah, I'm very happy with the car, but not with the way it was represented at wekfest. again, i had to raise the car and change the wheels to get it on the trailor and didnt have enough time to adjust the coils all the way back down..i picked the car up the day before the show and had no time to prep anything, including alignment. nothing has changed in the fitment from the pics of raw metal til now, so rest assured there is NOT that much poke lol. as for the grill, its already in the plans to be changed, just a matter of money. the mesh behind the bumper is already planned to be painted black until i do something that requires a FMIC. thanks tho to everyone for there comments. on a side note, i cruised around in the car some more last night before putting it back into storage and i gotta say it rides like a dream.. without the car i was growing tired of it, but as soon as i got back in it, i LOVED it..something about that adrenalin rush.. oh! and did anyone notice the pretzle? vip baby
oh! and did anyone notice the pretzle? vip baby
Gotta be a Vip car then. =p I agree with most of the statements so far. Definitely eager to see the final product though.
Addy you should know better than to ask people to read goooood shit holmes =)
First and foremost I would like to say thanks Adrian for giving us the opportunity to make your vision come true!!! Yeah as far as fitment...Adrian is right. There is a more aggressive stance that everyone will see soon!!

Hope you don't mind a little constructive criticism...but this is more what I was expecting: Just a little chop I did quick.
That acutally looks alot better.
You sir, nailed this! I think you just took Adrian back to the drawing board with this
youre so good at photoshop elpresidente, seriously lol. but again, the car isnt done yet lol. im not going back to the drawing board with anything...i had already stated the front fitment will be dialed in, the mesh painted black, and tbh i had already planned to paint the accents as presidente had depicted...as thats how job design paints all their kits. the only difference between my vision and presidents was im going to use a type-s chrome grill rather than just gutting it out. i pulled the car out of the body shop on saturday and loaded it up for the show ppl....lol

Body work quality looks good... As others have stated you need to dial in the camber and height of the car in the front... I'm still waiting for complete car pictures to really formulate an opinion... As of now I'm not feeling how the fenders came out, specially the rear... to me it looks like it's pasted on fender flares ( no natural looking transition from where the body starts). good stuff man .... take your time homie .. do it once .. do it right ..
I actually like the white mesh, gives it a clean look. As far as fitment someone didnt do there calculations rite, front wheels are way to aggresive for the rear I say sell the front wheels and get new ones before you damage them this way you can get good money for them and go a lil less aggresive. Even if you do custom arms in the front I think your gonna have clearance issues. I definately wanna see this thing lower also. You have great ideas, keep doin your thing
front wheels fit, and the sizing is as intended. thanks for the compliments tho ^^
I think with a little camber in front the car should be right on money but personally if it was my car I would look into air suspension, you have to much money invested and it's a shame to see any damage just because you were too low.
What is too low?
haha you can tell how sleepy i was
bodywork looks great. i agree on the mesh being painted, disagree on any major grill modification or change.
you make me wanna sell my car and get a TL haha damnnnn...TOO SEXXXY!!
woww, your TL is soo gangster:runcoold: when can we get some more pics with the car all dialed in?!!=)
Came out sick. I agree that the inserts need painted but you said you're doing that already. Not sure what you got planned for the grille, but I think the stock one is already pretty nice looking. That's lots of work, hope to see it hold up to daily riding at that, or lower height.

wow, all these comments on do this and do that, have to come from people who dont read fully or understand whats its like to rush a vehicle together right before a show. you didnt get it this far by not knowing whats going on. im sure you'll get it all strait once you find the time. nice to finally see a tl plant a front bumper that close to the ground. just wish you(or someone else stateside) would have went this hard on a ka9. and what rodney said is correct, the tl type-s grille is slightly different in shape.

If I can do it all over I would have went the cup route

in my personal opinion, i love everything about the body work. to my eye, it retains an OEM look, but i agree that its all subjective. as for the front fitment, i think some are overestimating just how much poke there really is. considering the fronts were only at or around -2,3 camber, i think the fronts fit fine with some adjustments. The fitment is the same as seen in View My Video which was taken pre tubbing. The only difference made since then was the tubbing of the front fenders..we did not make the wheels any more aggressive or the fenders any less aggressive. comments and opinions are fine, but final judgements, both bad and GOOD, should be saved until i deem this phase of the build complete. until then, heres some nicer photos of the nicer side of the car :smiley-rofl: again, all shots are taken with no adjustments or alignment. thanks for viewing and commenting!
Job Design bumper looks badass on your TL. I think you may need some adjustable suspension to be able to drive the car low though.
im going cups (or possibly hydros) but car will be driven when my new arms and coils come in. theres absoultely no rubbing in the rear, and with a stiff suspension up front and the right camber, i should be good. as for the front bumper, i know itll eventually shatter, so i already have something in the works. all im saying for now is i got a new a OEM TL bumper and a new OEM different manufacturer bumper to merge together and mold to the widened front fenders. will be a lot more durable, leaving this bumper for shows or weekends or w/e the hell i feel like atm haha
anyway to shorten the bumper some? see the very bottom, move that in place of the 1 or 2" gap between that and the vents
looks like they could have actually brought the bumper up when they molded it, but i'm not gonna lie, the lowness factor is gangsta. :giggity:
get new front wheels Adrian!

I love the progress. Its amazing! I'm subscribed here sitting back in my chair eatting pop corn seeing what you got under your sleeve. I have my own opinion of what you can do to your car but i rather just chill and watch the movie.

Looking good Adrian! I know what you mean by not complete and rushing for the show. I had to do the same for a show in Vegas last year. Day before barley put back together and had to drive to Vegas the morning of, no sleep at all.
FRONT FENDER AND TIRES ARE CRAZY STANCE :)...
Ridiculous! :)
when we gonna get some more pics of the car?!

Adrian, What's the update???
car is on jackstands, camber arms are with freddie at autofashion, and waiting on new suspension (:
AW MAN I HATE IT WHEN I LOOK AT A THREAD WITH NEW POSTS AND THERES NO UPDATES!!! Such a tease. <3

This build came out great. How satisfied are you with Andy's work? Was it worth the drive all the way to HickVille USA? LOL You don't have to answer that.
100% satisfied with the work and their shop in general. the many long drives to HickVille was okay as long as i get some fresh picked corn on the way back..hic!
Wow!!! is this car on the road or what... seems like it's been idle just as long as it was in surgery... What's the status???

nothing lol. has been a longer than expected process getting ahold of this suspension company.. hopefully stuff should start coming together in the next 2 weeks or so as for what ive done in the downtime...chicken wire is now semi gloss black and headlights are off and open..contemplating different retrofits/led configurations
The black mesh should make it look much cleaner. Im in for updates

new coils are here, will be going on when my custom front UCA gets here probably wednesday. went with bc..20/18k spring rates. didnt end up doing anything with the headlights so thatll just get done later..just wanna get this thing back on the road. I'll be ordering my cup kit in about a week, and once thats in and installed its on to either interior, 2 tone wrapping my car, or supercharging it... however, this will continue to be a slowww build. again, just happy to almost have it back on the road.

mmk so uca's and new coils are on...its fun driving this thing again; i cant believe how comfortable these 20/18k coils are..almost wish i went stiffer, lol! anyway, heres a sneak peak of what i did last night...bumper is off because im dropping the car at my alignment shop today while im at work, and i dont trust them driving up onto the rack with the bumper on, especially when im not there to keep them in line haha. i did test fit with the front bumper on,and nothing hits up there. driving to work today, i do occasionally rub slightly up front under compression, but its def. not anything a smidge more camber and some extra stiffness cant solve. as for the car itself, it will eventually and innevitably go lower over time, just want to get reaquainted with the driving style first after having been driving a van for a year. cant really see shit in this next picture (super dark by that time lol) but it gives at least some what of an idea of current ride height. RIDICULOUS <3
SHE LIVES
congratulations, must feel like Christmas in July. that 3/4 ass shot is crazy, almost showing off some frontal inner stretch even with all that work. she's got some sexy curvature to her that's for sure. congrats again and good luck moving forward from here. may the sun be upon your face and the wind upon your back...and super smoothe smoothe smoothe roads ahead =)
Don't change the grille!
WOW looks like you need a Jack just to use that jack .. Bumper off makes it look like an S14 on Steroids :giggity:
^ lol funny you say that, i was thinking it looked like a s chassis/drift car too LOL and yea i need 2 jacks
heres some vids of after the alignment...between -5/6 all around. Eventually i want to get the car lower, especially the rear end, but i need to remember/remap my routes..been a while haha. next mod will be cup kit for the fronts. iono how to embed...can i mod do it :pat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZam8pSd61E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo5px7sXLAE

Love it!
tl bar has been raised i think.
or lowered. =)
Looks good there..did you fix the front yet? The bumper I mean, maybe I shouldn't say fix..but repaint those parts. I still really think that fender vent mod we talked about would look sick.
^ i painted the mesh, but leaving the rest of the bumper white for now..lots still left to do with the car but just taking it slow and enjoying it for now. i got the car shot this weekend so you'll be able to see how it sits...and yea, lookin at the car....fender vent may just be in the future.
Very nice...
Rolls nice... Roads are a dream over there... can't wait to see it finished...

there's no bars as there is no competition. im a fan of what a LOT of people have been doin with their tl's..especially as of late..i just was finally able to see what i been scheming for 2 years come to life. went to my first VSC meet way back when and i told mike denoga what my plans were..2 years later and it all came true for me..couldnt be happier with the car, but its not done yet! thanks for all the good comments everyone
Damn Adrian that does look pimptastic! Your really raising the bar for the rest of the Honda-Fan-Boyz  . . . Oh and sorry no pun intended =)

this picture speaks to me...it says, "GO LOWER!" and as those of you that either know me in real life, or my car in previous iterations could have guessed, that's exactly what is about to happen! Eventually ill section out the front bumper to get the entire car lower, but for now i'll drop the rear a half inch to an inch to level it out and at least get that side skirt a little closer to the ground, and eliminate that tire gap..i had the fender radiused so high for a reason! anyway, even tho post processing was obviously involved, the picture really does show the difference between my paint job, and the standard WDP that is found on white tl's.
YES! and you are correct about the paint man! looks sooo good. glad to see another person on coils haha. saw the video, love the video, saw this, love it even more. all the work is well worth it! I am editing cause i couldnt even think of what to say, speechless from awesomery
the more i look at this car the better it is, and i'm not really a fan of the platform to begin with. even being very extreme everything flows very well, both in styling and construction.
wrd looks better and better everday i see it
Looks good man... glad you finally reaching where you want it to be... I still think you widened it too much, but that's just me. I think that if you shorten the front bumper, smooth out & lower the sideskirts a little, do something in the rear to lower the bumper and tie it into the uniqueness of the rest of the car and add the 2010 TL side mirror... it would look insane... Great job so far... Now... when are you digging into the interior...?
don't drop the skirts and rear bumper, drop the car and raise the front bumper. duh.
well yea, that part was already in the plans :P but the design of the rear bumper just makes it so it looks high since it angles upward..i think thats what rodney was reffering to by doing something to it to get lower and unique
No! The pic is telling you to get bags so you can park it lower haha.

nice bro, front fitment has me going back on the rear...everyone was like match the front to rear and now...pffft. agg and a 1/2. way to go. status:untouchable.
^front camber is the shit man hahaha. imma add 2 more degrees out back to tuck that tire, but i actually have more camber up front then the rear right now.. i think it was agi back then who said he likes the look of more camber up front than in back, and i kinda agree. above all else tho, its about having em as close as possible.

if a rubber mallet, and a bowling pin unbends a rim, then you might want to throw those barrels out.. cause you should not be driving on something that can bend with a fuckin bowling pin:innoutrofl2:
where have you been kid? a bowling ball pin is a very old trick from the truckin scene. i dont even know how many times this method has worked for me. it all depends on just how bad of a bend we talking about i guess.

the rules are as follows: Fusa never the first mod to a soon to be vip car Absolutely no, NO knock offs. No matter how much you justify it. Make mention of lowering car, even if car is in progress Dont mention other products where it could conflict with a vendor Follow all of what OG says
Yup rules to fOllow
No bumper, dirty, who cares?? this car still shits on most cars on this board IMO
his fender work sure does... :innoutrofl2: BTW...follow the rules people....
I see nothing wrong with it either...car isn't a garage queen its a daily driver & the driver has a life. Ish happens but I'm pretty sure next time he shows the car their will be no complaints. There's exceptions to every rule & I'm pretty sure this car earned an exception or two for what he's brought to the game. Props for putting more miles on this every month then most vip cars see all year.
I was just saying people. You don't see a person in a Maybach driving around with his car all dirty (for weeks at a time) and with no bumper. It's an unwritten rule. It's classless IMHO. At the end of the day, it's his car and he built it with his hard earned money... He can drive as he wishes... Just bothers ME to see it in that condition (MY OPINION). I feel that most on this board are hypocrites... Apply certain Standards/Expectations to some but not all...
meh, different strokes for different folks. if i drove a bently, itd still be dirty hahaha
also daily driven tl is a lot different than a maybach...lol

speedaddict;441762 wrote:what tire is that Adrian?
what tire is that Adrian?
i think its a nankang ns2.... based on where it blew, did you ever run the tire low on air?
^ ya nankang..and yea it musta been from riding on low pressure..before i had the rim fixed my tire went flat but stayed beaded so i drove off the exit and down the street to park...musta damaged the side wall.
^^sounds about right.
i like the pics that make your car look like they have a lot of camber. whats next?
honestly, probably nothing. theres a lot i want to do, both big and small, but i really dont want to put money into the car anymore. getting a new car this weekend for the new job thats gonna require a lot more driving, moving to socal next year, and transfering to post graduate school in the near-ish future. probably just switch wheels eventually and do that wrap we talked about. wanted to do interior, audio, redo the rear end, new headlights, fender vents, etc, but itll never happen on my current pay roll
=( still coming out for wekfest?
im hoping to
