B L A C K First ever VIP car show July 17th, NJ

This one is strictly for the people.  Never before in the states has there been a VIP car show.  Saturday July 17th at Club Abyss, Sayreville NJ, A.G.I. and Liberty VIP are hosting B L A C K.

Only Luxury cars are allowed in the lot.  All other cars will have to park across the road.

This is a rain or shine event.

Show categories are
Best of show + $250 cash + 4 page feature in RIX
Best Team

1st-3rd
Lexus
Infiniti
Japanese Other
Euro
Domestic

If it is not a luxury car, don't bother trying to bring it in the lot.  (K-cars can compete in the Japanese Other Category).  This event is for Luxury sedans and Coupes only.  All cars are subject to approval.

$60 per car and $15 per participant at the day of the show or

Yes, non luxury cars can park across the road and they have to pay the club for parking.

This is gonna be huge for the east coast. Makes me want to fly over to NJ to be at this event!

Yea thanks.  We got cars coming from all over the US which is why I put it in this section.  Caravan's should start popping up in every regional section of VSC.  This will be EPIC!

I can't wait for this one.  This is what we need and should open lots of doors.  The scene will finally feel like a scene now that people have something to shoot and plan for. :dance:


There are going to be lots of new cars there that don't post up on any forums.  There is also going to be a bunch of cars getting completed or redone for this event.  All the major show promoters and shop owners are really hyped about this one since no one ever does specialty shows anymore.

All winners will get their names along with pics of their rides posted up on the VSC blog.

There are multiple professional camera guys hired for this event so we will get some nice footage of the cars and interviews from the guys.  

This event is strictly for the enthusiasts.  I want to see everyone who is into the scene out there for this one with or without a car.

Eventhough my car wont be 100% the way I want it I'm really looking forward to this. Everytime I go to an event where there are some VIP cars (like the Liberty BBQs) makes me want to step my game up more and more. 

My office is full of VIP magazines. More than just a fad its a lifestyle :biggthumpup:

I am hearing lots of rumors as far as what cars will be here for this one.  You will want to be there live as you approach the entrance of the lot to see 20 slammed black cars posted up on each side like you are shooting a free throw.  I'm getting the chills just thinking about it.

Flipping K-cars are lumped in with Japanese Other...great.  Not.

The event should have a sick vibe, club environment and cars and women ;)  I better see some suits and low cut shirts for women haha

Let me explain the Japanese other class.  BlkonBlk98 as well as some of the other Liberty guys were helping me come up with the classes.  At first, I wanted to have like 30.  By having that many, it brings down the value of the trophy.  If you beat out some nice cars to get your award, it will mean so much more to you.


The show is marketed as a "VIP/Luxury" show.  I wanted to give Mercedes Benz it's own class since I know there will be more Benz' in this lot than there will be Infiniti's but we want to somewhat keep it authentic to the style.  Benz gets placed in the Euro class.  Using the same theory, I can't make a category for Acura despite us having a couple of the top ones in the nation on hand.  Although RL's (Legends) can be found in VIP events in Japan, they don't have their own class.  The only trophy they could win is "Best of Show."  That is too harsh so we made a Japanese Other category which shows love to the Acuras, Van's and K-Cars.


If we give K-cars their own category, it makes the "Japanese Other" class very weak.  To be honest, there really will not be that many Acura's or K-cars there this year at least.  I hope to see some on hand.

Thanks for all the support.  VIP'd Out helped make this show happen.  

We tossed the suit idea around but it will most likely be 85-95 degrees that day lol.  I don't want to torture the guys by doing that or by even making them wear black.  They are free to do either or.  If we wear suits, you better believe we will be hanging out in the air conditioned club the whole time.

There are a few hotel/motels near by but the closest one also happens to be the cheapest.  Makes it easier to get to the show and clean up early.

With the group rate (which I am waiting upon one of our members to secure) its about $50 or less a night.  Split that with a friend and its dirt cheap.

Thanks for the offer lol.  I found a spot near me that has the exclusive flavors that you brought to the BBQ.  They even have the 12% iced tea which is my new favorite.

Fella's, please grab something to eat inside of the club before leaving if you plan on drinking to sober up.  The bar inside of the club is open (not open as in free) during the event.  Drink responsibly.  You need to be 21 to get liquor in the club.  

I decided to throw in a bottle of Hennessy Black along with the money and magazine full feature for the winner of "Best of Show."  Personally, I would rather keep that bottle for myself so hopefully someone under 21 years of age wins so it stays with me :smiley-rofl:

He even hooked up the express shipping just so they could get here in time in exchange for some positive rep points on the forum. Just settled in at the Knights Inn and drove down 35/9 to the local Walgreens and these roads are not static friendly. I bottomed out on a crazy mountain which launched my car in the air into a dip following that. Scraped the bolts off my bumper under lining which dragged under my car and the fog light ballast ziptied to that riped off. However it is all worth it to be up here for this show. See everyone tomorrow!

so i overslept cuz i tried to break night and it didnt work out .....then on my way over ther widebodyq tells me itz over then i get pulled over and my car gets impounded nd my boy had a warrant  ... so now ima see wat they tell me when i go pick it up in a couple of minutes

Pics and video to come shortly.  Thanks everyone that supported and came out.  First time shows never have as many people as you may like but we had a solid 45-50 cars there.  The show is the same day as a huge VW show Waterfest and it was also 102 degrees out.  No excuses, we still had a great time.

As soon as I got to the show and saw agim I noticed my battery light was on it was hell after that at one point I was stranded on a damn blinding turn going into the highway thank god this dude stopped & gave me a jump.

But had the car running good by like 3/4pm and no $$$ wasted except for the gas 
drove to NY then home then to show only to basically do a U turn at the show and go back home then back to NY and bck home to NJ 



I took off work friday just to be ready by sat and idk if ill still have my job monday
and all the months iv been waiting n talking about this 
and all that driving from NJ to NY all for this event

^Your car looked good.  Looked like you were on air.

The official video will be out in a couple of days.  There are lots of interviews of the guys as well as footage of the cars so you almost feel like you were there.  Again, I wish the turnout was better but the weather was killer.   I look like a tomato right now lol.  I appreciate you all for not only coming but sticking around for the entire show.
