Been on here for a while but have never posted. My car is basically stock but what the hey, maybe after seeing how desperately i need wheels/ suspension one of you guys will help me out. I know where i want to go with her, just don't have the funds right now.

It looks super clean, but the banner looks totally out of place on a basically stock car.  No banner until the car is low and riding on some nice wheels MINIMUM.  Otherwise it looks like it's minty condition.

nice start!! did you take off your charcoal canister in the rear to run the dual exhaust?  I think as far as the ABS its just a straight swap into the S14 knuckles.

Losing the front Sway isn't a big deal IMO. 

Buy new ABS sensors your going to break yours when you pull out your knuckles.

s14 lca's no need to swap with y33 arm. 
y33 camber plates
s14 inner/outer tie rods

abs would be nice to keep, but most of us have not so far.

They're Subaru Legacy fog lights, I plan on getting the JDM y33 black housing headlights to match. So if anybody is interested in buying my headlights HIT ME UP!

 those hubs from fr sport won't work since they don't come with abs rings, you are better off getting abs spindles with hubs already on them. The Y33 abs sensor bolts up straight on to the s14 abs spindle, you just have to make sure you get s14 abs spindles because non-abs ones don't have the hole for the sensor. 
 
The sensor itself is bolted on with a 12mm bolt and doesn't break when you take it off carefully.
 
As far as the swaybar it is not a big deal, I'm on S-chassis conv with air and no swaybar, it handles great even riding super low

It's a shame that I posted that 6 months ago and still haven't lowered the whip. I have non-abs spindles so I'm doing non-abs setup for now.

i'm non abs, tcs, sway bar! the car is to cruise, not take on the autobahn!

Just left tha machine shop. I got all the inside profiles of the camber plates cut, now I just have to cut out the outer edge.  :dance:

I will say this, with out the sway bar you don't get the extral lift when turning the wheels. (The whole purpose of the sway bar.) So with my setup (minor aggressive) i can't lower as much as i would like but also can't clear some areas of the city. (The whole purpose of the sway bar.)

Ima go ahead and leave it off and if I'm not satisfied with the ride due to the loss of the sway bar, I'll find a way to put it back on

Personal taste, i don't mind having the sway bar off but like i said with out more aggressive pull or after market front fenders I can't tuck my wheels in the front.

If you make more of those plates, I'm sure they'd get sold!

No intercooler, maybe sometime in the distant future.

nice progress, i was wondering about how much does it cost for all the materials needed to customize the stock bumper?

Ive spent around $100-$150 for materials and tools. i bought a lot of stuff that I didn't need though. I did a lot of trial and error in order to see what works the best.

Had to take the fogs back out. One of them collected a couple of ounces of water in it. Gonna have to reseal them, so I'm going to experiment on the old fogs on separating them in the oven tonight, or soon.

Yea I'm gonna do a lip detail, run 2 horizontal bars through the center gap with black mesh inserts, and Im getting the gt grill. I just don't have much time to work on it anymore.

Got 6000K HID in the projector in the fog now to match the headlightsb(looks a little off in this pic but they match), I think Im going to put an amber bulb in the outside bulb in the fog and wire them to my turn signal and see if I like it..

Damn dude, sorry to hear what happened man.  I had that happened to me too, they were going for the GPS unit in my wife's car, but they ran off before taking anything.......not before they smashed the windows and left some serious damage.  Anyways, props on the bumper, it turned out really nice!  Can't wait to see more progress with it.

I just moved to downtown Richmond and this happened the first day I left my car down there. It happened mid-day between 1-5 pm. It had to be somebody on foot and stupid. They took my old ass iPod touch and my change when I have like a $600 system in my trunk, $150 Garson neckpads, like $60 Guess shades, couple of $100+ textbooks, $100+ exhaust tips in the trunk, not to mention the car.

I took everything out now btw until I fix my window.

The bumper isn't finished yet, far from it. Since I lowered my car its taken a beaten

go ahead and take the door panel off and vacuum out all the glass inside the door......also dont wanna chance gettin stuck by somethin while sittin in the back seat too. sucks cleanin up all the shit leftover from a busted glass....had to do a few of those at the dealership

So I got to a point where I could throw a coat of spray paint on the bumper to see if I'm happy with the lines. I am. A lot of them are uneven and I need to tweak a few things but this is overall what its going to look like.

Mesh is going in the middle with either 1 or 2 horizontal bars (chrome or silver) running across in front the mesh, already have fogs

I cracked my oil pan. Can I have a shop weld the crack??

Yep a shop should be able weld it up, but it's gon be pita to take out first... needs to get cleaned/baked/washed prior to welding.

Saw your car at momentum man... I dig the rear bumper. Carlos can probably weld up the pan for you too.

Every time I see a Q45 build thread it makes me want one LOL. Lookin sweet and I love the tips.

q45 is definitely my favorite vip car crazy fabrication on the bumper. wish mine came out as good as that.

Man this forum is dead nowadays!!

Well, I've been putting in work on the Q lately in preparation of selling. One thing I had to do was make sway bar and brake line brackets for the front end.  

To refresh memories I have s14 front suspension so theatre was no place to mount the brake line or sway bar end link. 

Sway bar uses 1.5" angle steel mostly and brake line bracket is 1/16th plate steel.

FYI: S14 240sx rear lower control arms fit the FGY33 Q45 but the ball joint tapers are different.

Are there any cars that have the same rear lower ball joint and sell them separately???!

I used 1998 Nissan Maxima front lower ball joints. They were a direct replacement. 

So now I have for the rear suspension:
S14 240sx traction arms, 
S14 240sx rear upper control arms
S14 240sx toe arm
S14 240sx lower control arm
S14 240sx coilovers
1998 Nissan Maxima ball joint

Those fogs flow real well with the headlights.
