Armada On The Ground Juiced With 26s

This is a very cool truck...my brother's business partner. Nissan Armada cut to lay on 26s. The independent rear suspension was swapped out for a solid rear axle. If you notice, it has a Watt's link and a cantilever setup. Instead of running accumulators in the rear, the hydraulic cylinders lift the rear and it rides on off-road coilovers. Pretty f-in' unique.

Obviously it's not done, but a little taste:

this is my 1st choice for an suv right here. gotta respect the custom work for sure. might actually look better if the side steps were off but , i bet they make for good dragging material. man, i miss playing with trucks.

I soooooo want hydros. Just seems to be the best option to me. Ride as low as you want with the ability to 4x4 as well.

Of course to each their own. The Armada is cool but the wheels are not my style. Damn I need a custom watts link for the van.

Cool truck, but he got solid rear axle and that's why he is running Watts link but still pretty neat setup.

He did a solid rear for two reasons:

  • He wants to ride dumped in the rear and not have excessive camber wear
  • The truck is going to be trailing items to shows
