Re: bB gangstar offset.,?

Space them out 2" more and throw some 195/45-16 size rubber on them, with some 3 degree OTG camber shims. That will definately change your entire look. :smitten:

Re: bB gangstar offset.,?

a lot of people associate VIP with 'gangster' because of the yakuza origins. Too bad most poeple dont know that the Yakuza was a giant mafia, and that they actually helped a lot of people, even though they were 'gangster'.

Re: bB gangstar offset.,?

lol, that sounded pretty funny  ;D

honestly though, i would try to go a little bit wider then a 7" wheel...I would suggest anything around 8"-9" then pick the pefect offsests from there rather then just spacing them out (although that does make it easiar a lot of times)....right now on my setup i'm running a 17x8.5 in the front with a plus 16mm offset running 205/40/17 dunlop fm901 tires and a 17x9 in the rear with a plus 17 mm running 215/40/17 fm901 tires, and they sit perfectly flush with -2 degrees of camber in the front and -4 (van's otg 3 degree camber plate plus the -1 camber that comes stock from the car) in the rear.  i did have to roll/pull/cut all of my fenders, but its not that big of a deal, and there are no rubs, i dont' have any pics of my new setup (only on my tanabes, but i have hks coilovers now), but i'll try to post pics when i can  ;)

and dajap is running the same ammount of camber as me with a 18x8.5 in the front with a 20mm offset and 205/40 (or 35) nitto neo gens and 18x8.5 in the rear with a 12mm offset and the same tires, no problems, granted hes on air, but they sit extremely flush

also check out hahajoey's, jdmjim's, stankubrics, or if you wanna be super crazy, jdmpalace's (aka -32 degrees or whatever hes running with a like 15" wide wheel ON A SCION!!!  :2funny: :o)  rides, i'm not sure what size/offset wheels they're running, but their stuff sits nice ;-)

Re: bB gangstar offset.,?

dammmmn love the slammed look. tucking looks nicee

i'm going to start talking about scions/bb here , at scion life .com they just dont have the right answers for me :smitten:

what suspension are all they on?

right now im on the hks sf5 springs ., im deciding if i should buy coilovers or not, because on the coilover specs some dont even go below a 3" drop. i'm assuming my drop is about 3"-3.25".

once again thanks alot (=

Re: bB gangstar offset.,?

Yes definately go wider then 7 inches. My recommendation was for his current setup. Spacers are not the way to go but some people have limited resources (money). Ideally i would run the following.

8.5" +25 Front
8.5" +10 Rear

Staggered offsets but same widths so you would still be able to rotate tires. :)

Re: bB gangstar offset.,?

so with my 10mm shims in the rear, and 205/50/16 tire size i can run

8.5" +25 Front
8.5" +10 Rear

and still tuck nicely?

the tuck is one thing im very worried about.

Re: bB gangstar offset.,?

How are you expecting to tuck with just a spring shock setup? Are you planning on going with air? Thats areally the only truw way to tuck. And if you want to tuck take out at least 15mm from those specs i gave. Those specs are to be flush and not to tuck.
