y34 gloria...y34 cedric? same?

I was just wondering what is the diffrence between the two cars a y34 gloria and y34 cedric.looking at one to buy but this just got me thinking is there a diffrence?thanks..any help will help.jdm vs usdm?diffrent front bumper,headlight?

Correct me if i am worng here .. but to my knowledge, Gloria should be the one with leather seats and comfort package VS the CEDRIC with the basic .. headlights and front bumpers do not match  along with the gril.

The USDM version would be an M45 :smiley-rofl:

I know the m45 are the usdm version:pat:what I'm asking is that is there a diffrence in the gloria or cederic front body as far as headlights and bumper..,because I looked at some bodykit for the m45 and it showed pictures of both gloria and cederic..but thanks..

Lol, sorry had to do it. The body kits for Ced/Glo fit M45. But lower lip kits would need to be tweaked. Eventually I want to get the Glanz Butterfly System lips, after countless hours checking what's avail for the Ced/Glo, that's my favorite one. And actually, the USDM version really is a Ced/Glo since it's mixing bits of each model to create a slightly unique model of it's own.

F.L.S how much is the glanz system lip kit??

around 900 US, so probably double that by the time you got it shipped.

I think some on here might have a lip kit for sale ....

Ced/Glo after minor change will have the M45 headlights.
 
J-Spec lips will need more than just tweaking....they need to be elongated and reshaped to fit.  Not an easy task.....:pat:

where can I buy some nice kit for the y34?seen like it's hard to find them.

Not hard to find but no overly saturated knock offs only legit kits that cost a decent penny.

He's got the full JP body kit, it's not lips, so full body kits are no problem, it's lips that have to be altered cause the bumpers are different.

If you go on Autofahionusa.com and go to the Aimgain section, they have a gorgeous kit for the Y34, I may have changed my mind from Glanz lip kit...

Now I have a Work's Company lip kit.....sold the JP to Kingpin.
 
 
The front and rear lips had to chopped, elongated, reshaped, and refinished.
 
The length is wrong due to the US crash guards and the corners are a different shape.  A lot of body work that could cost a lot.  Luckily I can do basic glass work, so I did all the "heavy lifting".

Better is all a matter of taste. Which do you like the most? Whichever you like most, is the better one.  For me, the Aimgain kit is beautiful, that's what I'm saving for.

what's the most aggressive wheels can you run on a stock y34 stock body.with just a fender rolled and slighty pulled and camber?as for 20x10.5 rear and 20x9.5 front..the offset?thanks anything will help..want to run aggressive.these will be on coilover.

I would say low to mid teens.  I have 9/10 and +18/22 and it's perfectly flush, a little lower would poke.

this is what im aiming for. i dont wanna do any major modifications to the body. just a roll at the most.

i also noticed that some of u guys selling your 20" wheels are looking for trades for 19" wheels with aggressive offsets. will a 19x11 fit or will it need a pull as well? whats the reason for wanting to go for a smaller rim now also?

Most likely a 19x11 will need a pull minor/major depending on offset.. and 19" wheels will have your car sitting lower than 20" wheels.. i sure wouldnt mind trading my 20" wheels for 19"s =)

you can get both teh cedric AND gloria with the same options

and i will agree with the 9/10 +22-20 ish area for no major work. we tried a 10 +0 and it woudl have needed a small pull to clear for sure

yeah I just picked up a 03 m45 with 55,000 miles.and trying to get prices and info on everything..I don't mind rolling and pulling the fender a little to fit.I do want to go 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 with coilover.if anything I might got low teens and if I have room I could alway run spacers just trying to keep that extra incase I do run bbk..also is there a non-sports and sports model for the 03?I was looking for wheels and the vendor asked me if I had a sports or non-sprts model.as far as I know I don't even know if there was a option on sports or non-sports..we were trying to figure out the caliper clearance..

I was looking at the ssr ms1 in 20in.what is the disk type that I can run for max lip and low offset?their offset chart shows (sl) super low disk,normal disk (nr),medium disk (md)and hyper disk (hp).trying to figure the disk type of what I can and can not run as far as disk type..I'll be running on coilover and fenders will be rooled and if needed pulled ..

is there a reason you cant look at the suggested offsets and sizes above? or better yet, measure yourself? Learning IS a part of modifying...
measure your hub to caliper distance (that will determine the disk you need) you should be ok with Normal disk iirc. but dont quote me. measure twice buy once. learned that lesson a long time ago, the last 5 or 6 sets of new wheels i bought fit right the first time :)

ofcourse I can.but I'd figure these guys on the fourm has had experience running aggressive offset or atleast have some kind of clue.getting input from someone who has ran it or has knowledg of the cars disk or offset is better IMO..I have a g35 coup I ran aggressive offset but coming over to a sedan it's a whole diffrent ballgame.I ran 20x9.5 negative offset and 20x11 negative offset with some camber.it took me awhile and some learning and searching but I did get my car the way I wanted.aggressive but tastefully done.I'm learning and looking still and want to make sure everything is correct before I do buy some rims..plus the g has bigger wheel well vs the sedan is alot smaller..

I do have some numbers to play with already,but I does not hurt to look around and ask still.I've looked at alot of setup on here and some other fourms.it's good to see what others are running on their car just to get an idea of what I can run .I know that some are running flush or just something that's mild aggressive but that will also give me ideas of how much or how far I can still push my car.you think I'm going to run what people says they are running:yahoo_68:I get their spec or whatever and then measure for myself and go from there as to making my car suit me.but overall it's good to ask, look and learn from someone who has ran it or has it on the same car as mine.everything is a learning process.I'm pretty sure you don't just go buy a set of wheel and spend $3-5000 just to sell the wheel because you did'nt do any searching..yeah,but I'm not worry about people play hardball everybody has their own opinion at the end it's still my car and I will be looking and asking alot of question..but thanks for your input..

Asking questions is always a good thing IMO. Ask first, get ideas, then go your own way with the knowledge you gained from others experience.

I'm in..sold my car to get into a sedan.bigger family now so a coup is not a great idea anymore because of the car seats in the back.always loved the 30-04 m45 so I found a reason to convince the wife..either the m45 or ls430.test drove both but love the way the m45 handle,drove and looked..I've been on g35driver for about three years..I've had people pm me asking about my wheels and offset,coilover questions.I don't have a problem sharing what I do know.pretty sure we all love cars and being on a fourm we look out for eachother and help if they do have a question about setups.I'd love to see a bunch of vip cars rolling together..but I guess that's just me..like I said I join vipstyle because I know alot of people on here have the knowledge and experince regarding the vip style..just looking for advice and get going in the right direction..

right on. yeah, i had a coupe as well. i ended up selling it to get a truck, but i've always been a fan of this car. taking my son out of the coupe in his carseat was killing my back so thats why i got rid of my g.
