???? so if I drift a GS im a 240 fan boy with a lexus? you got to remember the GS is the "sport" car of lexus besides the IS. Plus Im sure the GS can pull-off diamond racing wheels.
i own a honda...i'm talking honda styling...drift all you want.
First off, its not a Honda thing, its a VW thing. Widened steelies were on MKII VWs a looong time before any Honda fan boy got the idea. And while we're on the topic so were rusted hoods. I'm not sure if it was a VW or Bimmer thing first. I think it could be pulled off if executed right and Diamond Racing is the place to start for sure. Props to him for trying something different.
the idea of wide steelies for fitment purposes is just silly to me. Specially when your car comes with alloys. Shit's whack.
diamond steelies are s**t. they completely fucked up the widened steely game. before eveyone and their hipster mother bought d.r. i actually liked some of the steelies cats were rocking (particulary in europe). now everyone has the same (ugly) steely design in the same sizes and fruitcake colors.

There's more than 1 way to mod a car, and just because you modded a lexus doesn't mean you are trying to make it VIP. If that post had anything to do with VIP at all/even had the word VIP in it that'd be one thing, but it looks like its just honda/stanceDORKS kids getting into lexus. It's a $5,000 car now. It's RWD and has a shitload of mods available for it. Of course those kids are going to gravitate to them.
gs300 and sc300 = 240 of the new generation alot more of them have popped up modified down here in sfl for sure.

I seen ghetto stuff on GS' for years now, whats the big deal? He kept it on CL and didn't claim it to be VIP styled or anything. Its a cheap car, has a huge aftermarket and is sporty for a sedan. It has always been by far the most popular platform so you have to expect it. Maybe when some of you guys got yours, they were not cheap or as cheap but it is what it is. If it bothers you guys, its time to move onto another car.

Didnt say it was a bad car. Cheap as in affordable to the honda crowd as are most platforms. Since its a sportier car, and has an after market, I would picture them jumping on it rather that some of the other platforms.

According to craiglist a 200,000 mile GS300 from 1998 is $4,500. I haven't seen them get much cheaper than that. And if you mod your car based on the costs relative to what you paid for it you are missing the whole point of building a car.
