Does anyone know of a [COLOR=Red]good[/COLOR] body shop in SoCal? I need to pull all four fenders and gonna need a decent amount of work i want the poke look.. thanks in advance.

how extensive of work are you looking to get? depending on what you're looking for 13k isnt too far off. compare the amount of work youre looking for to my build, and ill tell you if its reasonable or not. depending on what paint you want (assuming a respray) will make the price vary drastically as well.
Yea 13K is a joke depending on what your asking for Go to Jocson's down here in SD. They've taken care of me for min. now and I'm about to have them paint my car and do some more body work and I know it aint gonna cost me no 13K. I think platinum is alil like buying namebrand shit, you may be paying a lil bit for the name/reputation. They deal w/ ALOT of high end customers and cars Taht's my 2 cents though:shrug:

That will determine how much work is gonna be needed . Plus how much camber are you willing to run and how much your gonna stretch the tires. My front are 18x9 - 14 I was able to pull them my self with help from the air susspension and the yellow pages (book) forcing the fender down, Just be sure ti have a heat gun with you and take out those tabs inside the fender well or your gonna get dimples. The rears you can shave off completly and do the same as the fronts but you must shave real close to the edge or again you will have dimples . I say try it your self first And if you fuck up you can have the rears redone :shrug: I paid 1500 for my rears and the car was there for a month Unless you plan on going full wide body I dont see it being more then 2000
also i must say, its much better to get quotes in person..its really hard to get a feel for how much work is involved over a phone conversation.
I'm gonna be running 19x9+0 fronts and 19x11+6 rears. I think Im gonna do what Philly suggested whats the worst that can happen? ill end up in the shop anyway if i f*up :shrug:

Customer called me asking how much it would cost to widen both front fenders and rear quarter panels. I told the customer to come down with the car and wheels so we can look at it in person and give an appropriate estimate. I gave him examples of what some customers paid to widen their cars. It ranges, any where from 1500-30K+, it all just depends on how much wider it needs to go. and again, i recommended the customer to make a trip down to get a true estimate, i'm not going to throw numbers over the phone unless it was a cut dry kind of deal.... I'm sorry we cant pull fenders and do overlays... :shrug: If other shops do it for $200 or whatevers, props to them, but we do our shit right, we do back our work with our Lifetime Guarantee! and btw, we havent had any warranty work.... You really should go to a shop explain how you want it done, a clean all metal job is expensive as hell, if you just want a simple pull and paint the price would be cheaper... but if you want a nice job... its a lot of money. Its best to go in person and explain how you want it, its better for them to give you a high estimate rather a low estimate then they find out you want a SEMA quality job shiiiet gimme a hammer and a pry bar and I'll give you some flares

oops i meant 19x9.5 +0 but yea sorry platinum for the mix up might go for a in person quote later on this week depending on how the pull goes.... ill post up pictures when i finally put on the wheels :/

Kennedy? and who are "those other cats"? and I used an comparison of how you guys are like a "Name brand" item, like you guys are a higher end shop w/ a bigger more known name than some of the lesser shops out there. So your prices/quotes will be higher than a smaller shop that can do the same work this cat is looking for jus as well as y'all but for less $$$. This is jus my opinion though. No hate hear homeboy, y'all keep doin what y'all do. I jus saw 13K and was like FOR WHAT?!!!!!!!!! :innoutrofl2:
my 2 cents...post what is being done on the quote to justify the 13k quote. paying a hefty price tag and getting quality work does not always go hand in hand.

Note down everything in the estimate that way the customer knows what he is getting. This way you know what you are paying for. As for the rest of community, please stay on topic or take it to the PMs. Things can be misinterpreted differently on the forum so if you guys have an issue and it's not related to this topic then don't mention it on this thread. My opinion just do your research and ask the body shop for pictures or examples of their work. Most shop owners will also educate you on the services they provide so you have an understanding of their business and why you should choose them.

Jus seen the finished product of the 430 and I dig that shit I'm not sure if I'm feelin the rear work on it but that's being pickey Also is either of these what 13K gets you? or how much would it run to get what that 430 had done?

The LS came out real nice, Not feeling the other two I think its that ugly wheel on the black one that is throwing me off I dont like that design at all
Platinum vip is legit, lots of attention to detail on those rides.
LS430 cost around 13K White 2GS, high 30k Black 2GS, 5-8K
glad you guys all made up... btw platinum vip comes across like a high end good shop... good work from what i have seen .. only thing is a lot of joe's these days want a vip car and something their finances cannot keep up.. in their case, they will have to shop around and sacrifice quality / experience but hey everyone deserves what they r passionate about and sometimes u can't get the best... sometimes, ok work is good enough .. depends on each person....how picky u r.. wish these shops would offer financing... would open up options to lot more people..

There is no shop around here that i would trust with the M to widen the fenders .. Classic example of you have to pay to play .... just not over pay :biggthumpup:
work on the black 2gs looks sick. can't wait to see it smoothed out. if you can't afford quality bodywork to fit the car to the wheels, then just buy wheels that fit the car. simple as that.

i like how platinum don't force the metal, they cut and extend them. i am not a bodymen but i know that is the way i would have done it if i know how. sometimes if they force pull yeah is cheaper but it will not look as nice. some forgot their bumpers too. gotta work on them so it flows together. i am tired of seeing some where the bumper or the sides is not touched.
