Aristo two door vert project NEW PIX!!!!

I got a few Pm'S wanting more pix of my aristo convert. Its not finnished yet but it should look like the PS in the pix. There is a ton of time consuming little stuff and the critical enginering to it. So here is the full set of pix from start to where Im at on it now.

FIrst I started with a $200 n/a aristo. The only body problems was the front bumper and the water pump.

your thinking of the white one. The yellow one with Skipper Aero is not fitted with the C's 5.0 liter stroker kit, cams, or C's supercharger. (the white one is though...)

I believe a custom drive shaft is the only thing needed for this project, aside from shortening wires and pipes.

Corectomundo 
 I took the carrier berring out of the drive shaft and made it a one piece. Shortened the fuel and brake lines with new flair ends and just coiled the two harnesses in the back, I didnt bother cutting and splicing them.

Im not affraid to cut anything up. After this I have an order for a mark X that I will move the B pillar back 4 inches. After that I have a new Mitsubishi I that Im going to chop and two door too.

WOWWW i've seen a lot of chopped top car in Indonesia.. but all of them were rice! dis is going to be interesting.. keep us updated ok??/ 8)

Ray did they repaint the blue one for the movie or were they two new cars. The NSX is in it. He cant drive it until after the movie comes out can you belive that.

The Burgandy Red one was sold to Universal and they repainted it orange. It was the one that Sam actually drove. 

For all the sleepless bullshit I went threw on them two, that one I didnt get to drive or even hear the engine. The blue one was nice but then we did it the first three days. After 6 days of no sleep we kind of lost intrest in them cars.

Well all the metal fab is done. I just got the audio in and will start forming the rear for it. 4X 12" and 2 500 watt mono blocks, a 4 chanal and two sets of speekers. Its time for the itchy scratchy show.

It was always going to be a vert. I needed the roof lines to keep it square from top to bottom.

Looks badass so far...looks like you will have a cloth top the way the rear deck looks. My VIP project will also be a 'vert, no serious fab involved like yours, but you can't beat the look of a classy drop. ;)

Coming along nicely. Kudos for taking on a project like this! I always thought the first-gen GS (147) was the prettiest Aristo ever made.

I wonder how a first-gen 'vert would look like with the stock wheelbase, as a four-seater, only with longer 'coupe like' doors.

As for a roof NOPE, Nadda, Nevaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. This one is all vert I will be displaying the audio up in the back.

I will be doing a Mark X after this one and I will leave the wheel base alone. Ill be moving the B pillar back 4 inches and lengthening the doors. SO the rear seet can still be used.

Yeah, I dont think half of them would even understand what VIP is. I came from CL, but after seeing LexAristo's car, I did my research, half the noobs over there dont know whats goin on and just cry all the time...sheesh.
Your doing a great job though, this will defenitly be something to see.

the fact its a 'lexus' and its SO luxury! hahah, thats why they would cry. ask robert to show most of the CL cars...they are almost all stock, or if they have rims and stuff, they are like ebay style, 18x8.5 with a +55 offset, NO spacers ahaha

This is an excellent example of sedan-turned-convertible.

i know it looks cool but i dont get it why shortened a 4 door car ? can you just make 4 door convertible and weld the read door , looks much better ;)

 :-\ I'd have to disagree....if you just weld the rears and leave it the same length, not only do you get a floppier chassis but it ends up looking like a sedan with the roof cut off and the doors welded, not a convertible.

I did a cheesy job in Paint with my brother's 147. I made the doors too long,
but due to the long overhangs this car has, I like the overall proportions
with the stock wheelbase.

are you making an assumption that roadsters with shorter wheel bases lack structural integrity? I know you aren't but if the frame is seamed together again with strong, smooth welds there shouldn't be much to worry about. Perhaps subframe connectors?

AGAIN there is no top for this car. Its a fulltime convert. If you want to know how I reinforced the body call WCC and see if they will give you an answer. Posting pix is enough for some one to figure it out with out giving up the secret.

You could almost graft on the front and rear clips to a SC430 and have damn near the same thing with a little less work.

Man I go smoke a little weed with bin laden and look what happens. YES I am in the desert Im in Saudi playing with the princes and the binladens. its been a real treet here. I have been able to drive over 2 million in cars. I am about to purchase a ferrari for resale in japan as well.

Ill probobly be here a few more weeks as I am building the first drift car in saudi. We will debu the car at the opening of saudis first race track.

by the way the arib drift is all that and more when you see it in person.

not at all you know how many bin ladens there are here. I actuly became good friends with ULBs nephew mohamed. you also have to understand ULB is just one of 20 or 30 kids as his dad had many wives. I have also been to one of their beach houses for a party and yes I smoked some nice hash with a few binladens there.

By the way I might get to drive a marceleno tonight althow the 355 was pretty sweet. I also got to use a 400hp m3 for a few days. n/a with a carbon intake 6spd and all the other shit. The car just fucking drove sweet and was a breeze to drift.

Oh I saw a left hand drive s15 last week it was built in Dubuai and you cant tell its a hand made conversion.

Last I heard of Bin Laurin, he just posted some pics of the 350z he's been building on Ziptied, so he might make it over here to update on this car... but I think it's probably still back in Japan, not out in the desert living it up like he is.

Guys, Lorin is over in the UAE area working for some very esteemed clients (royalty).  So be patient when it comes to updates as he's been really busy with their projects and new upcoming ones.

Love the middle east. I was in Dubai this summer for a few weeks.  I have never been to Saudi but have been to Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain.  I love the cars these guys have. I actually work with buying cars and shipping them to Dubai.  So where in Saudi are you? Did you pick up any Arabic?  The BL family is cool, they completely oppose what Usama has been doing.  Anyways, good luck in the desert and enjoy it man.  Have fun during Ramadhan its a different place their.

It's funny you mention that.  He was just partying with a few of them this past weekend.  He got a ride in a veyron and said it's everything it's cracked up to be.  He currently drives a Diablo, but is going to sell it..for what I have no idea.  Cars just pop up with Lorin.  I'm replying for him since it's rare that he comes on here.

Saw Loren at TAS last weekend.  I hadn't even thought of asking him about this project, but he's been so busy working for the prince that he hasn't had a chance to do anything else.

Guys...he has a life besides this one car.  He builds custom cars for guys with more money than we could ever fathom.  This little project is the least of his worries, he has royalty to keep happy.  I saw him last weekend in Japan, but he was only there for a short stint before returning to the sand box.

The car is prepped for paint sitting in fukushima as I have been here in saudi for the last year building dollar baller cars.  I guess when I get back I might have time to paint it.  But I did roll it for awhile before I headed here.

After all this time i really dont think that Aristo still exists anymore. Probably a cube of steel by now. I'm still keen to see what he is working on now though...
