#359151Clear coat peeled
Okay here's the story. One of my wheels had a slow leak in it, so I took it to discount tire to check out. They determined it was a damaged bead, even after trying to "fix it" w/ some bead sealer. It actually started to leak more after their repair attempt, so I decided to order two 245's to replace the 255's for my front wheels. I would then swap one of the good 255's to replace the bad tire in the rear.I had the wheel with the bad tire wrapped in a plastic bag sitting in my trunk for a week, while waiting for the new tires. Today they pull it out and the clearcoat has peeled off about 80% of the face. Strangest thing I've ever seen...My thought...before they put the wheel in the bag, the excess bead sealer was exposed and not fully cured. Being contained within the plastic bag concentrated the fumes and reacted w/ the clearcoat causing it to peel.
