DIY Fender roller.

I don't know if this have been posted here yet but i'd thought i would share with you guys on this. A do-it-yourself fender roller.

Most people just use the [URL="http://www.eastwood.com/ew-fender-roller-w-instruction.html"]Eastwood model[/URL] (which I would trust far more).  I think most of us have used one at some point or another...but I suppose it might help someone?

It will help those who doesn't want to dish out $260 for the Eastwood model lol. Baller on a budget.

I use the powered by max fender roller. I think its like 200 or 220 brand new

You do realize the Eastwood unit used to be upwards of $300 right? It has come down a lot in price since I bought mine 5 years ago, which is saying a lot considering how crappy the dollar is currently. 

Mine has been all over the country and has rolled easily 100+ cars, and it's still a nice piece and works as it should. I would suggest buying something quality when it comes to a tool like this, and you can use it on every car you will ever own.

Pretty nice, but at first I thought it was one of those DYI without using that tool like using a baseball bat.:pat:

easywood is okay product.. i woulda chose other to just clear bigger brakes lol after 300+ cars ive rolled in the past few month, its breaking down on me haha

the eastwood and powered by max roller comes from the same area of china =)

Other than a paint code and some personal touches from eastwood they are pretty much the same thing.

You can rent an eastwood for super cheap, just google it.

I agree with you im gussing this guy figured out how eastwood made the roller and decided to break it down and build it himself. I mean i wouldnt mind saving a few hundred bucks.

That's pretty cool, but for the time and energy required to make it, I'd just go rent one.

have you even looked at the pbm roller? this is blatently false.
 
for the record, i use and eastwood and have got mkore than my money's worth, but am planning on switching to a pbm. if you've used an eastwood enough you know it's limitations and why pbm has made improvments to the design.

I'm glad I am not the only one who was expecting to see a baseball bat lol

i was expecting lead pipe and some kind of cushion. =)

Yea, at first I was excited to see the benefits of the PBM roller, however I have heard quality on the unit isn't so great. I have never personally used one though.

I know you guys are saying eastwoods are money but have you taken into consideration the rate at which your average machine shop will charge?

$100xhour labor plus materials.

I'd rather pay a chinese person to be honest.

Do the book method, its super ghetto but seems to work if you know what your doin.
 
Me, I bought a PBM roller:biggthumpup:

I'd rather use the 8 hours it takes to friggen hand make a caveman fender roller and instead go to work for 8 hours and just buy the eastwood roller.
