PICS**new tires on the scaras**Update w/ 235/35/19

I got new FK452's today for the Scara's.

Very dissapointed on the MILD STRETCH 245/35/19 that's mounted on the 19x10

I just thaught it would stretch more than that.

am I just trippin??? maybe I've been looking at too many VIP magazines latley.

anyways, I took the 245/35/19 Tires back.

And have ordered the 235/35/19 to go on the 19x10.

any chance you can get side pics of the actual stretch, as i am contemplating 215/35/19 or 225/35-40/19 for my 19*9's. talk about perfect timing, i was actually just about to start a thread for this.
Thank You

the 451 and 452's dont 'stretch' the same LoL!! I needed new tires and ordered the identical sized 452's (previously used 451) and they didnt fit under the car right. Now Ive got a brand new set of 452's in the garage that I cant use now :(

go w/a size smaller if you're coming from 451's and they'll look as good as the 451's ;)

Great ties BTW...not just being biased

OK, as requested. this is what the fk452 225/35/19 looks like on a 19x9

I'm also thinking about taking these back as well and go 215/35/19.

gato your car is gonna look extra nice with the Scaras I think mostly due to the fact that its a different color.... good luck with the tires, looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Agreed, For my scaras on my nsx I went with 225/40/18 on a 10. I always go one size down in 452's from what I would normally run on a st115 or fk451.

yeah, my buddy has a set of scaras as well, and hes running 235/35/19 in the rear...and 225/35/19 and its perfect, i dont think you should go 215 if you drive daily becuz it will get some major dings quite fast...

Looking good! I agree it doesnt look like much of a stretch. They dont seem to have that curb protector which gives other Falken wheels that stretched appearance.

As for whether you should go for a skinnier wheel, It all depends on how much clearance you need to fit the wheels. I wouldnt go for more of a stretch unless you run into clearance issues. Let that be the deciding factor!

Like was posted, FK452 are much wider than its replacements ST115 and FK451. 225/35/19 = 235/35/19 FK452.

452 is fat...

i would do 215/35/19 on 9 and 225/35/19 on 9.5...235/35/19 on 9.5 is disappointing...so is 245/35/19 on 10.5

sometimes i know the profile is too low...so instead of running small tires run wider rims such as 10 front and 11 rear

Thanks for replys everyone..................................Herb, that sheet looking nice!!!!

I agree with stretching for clearance and not just looks.

But I just didn't see myself being able to achieve Tsurachi with that 245/35/19. ( how can my fender kiss the lip with that much rubber in the way)
The rear wheel is a 19x10+30 and will run a 15mm spacer for a 19x10+15 look.

just came in 235/35/19 on a 10 Take a look

I agree with you Gato.

I don't see why everyone was all excited about the FK452. Sponsored cars maybe....

I am looking for ST115 and FK451 instead. I don't want to run 215/35/19 on 19x9.5 to get the same stretch. They may be wider, but smaller diameter = you have to lower the car more to get rid of wheel gap = more issues!

Damn you Falken and your FK452. Bring back the ST115.

personally, I ran ST115s for a while on the old set of Scara's I had.* Too me, they stretched a lot better than the current FK452.* AME_VIP hit it right on the head...

nonetheless, great color setup on your GS...*

for what its worth, ill be using Geneneral UHP's 215-35-19 on my 19x8.5 and 235-35-19 on my 19x10. these are going on my Soarer. they are the Volk Lexion type 203's. they're actually fitted for a Aristo based on the offsets.
