1st Authentic Junction Produce Mercedes Benz W140 in the States(Build Thread & Pics)!

Hi guys, I have never really posted on vsc and have always been lurking. I have built this vip styled w140 with my bro since day 1. I thought I create a thread to kind of introduce myself. I'm a noob to this site, but I have been on many other car forums. This will probably be a sort of build thread to current status look. As the car progresses I will update the thread as much as possible. Right now these are some photos from day one to the day of the show on July 18, 2010. I took too much photos that I have to sort them out. I'll update them when I get the chance to. The car is not done yet, but we thought we should show it in support of a local show called NOS Forum Fest, in which we won two trophies for this car. And in total our team took home four trophies in total. I know most of you will probably say go lower. lol...We're working on it right now, to get it where we want, as of now it is lowered for a normal daily height.

I also want to take this chance to thank Junction Produce, for such a incredible kit, and all the interior VIP accessories, they are great! Also want to thank the body shop that did a stunning job on the work.

This was taken when we drop the car off at the body shop. We took about a week and a half to detail the exterior of the car. To get this shine on the car. Oh yea also changed out to euro light smoke LED tail lights.

looks clean...what kind of wheels are you gonna run?

we got another set of 20s, but not sure if we're gonna run that or buy another set... the current set on the car is just temp...

Looks great, should step up to 21s though, 20s are ordinary on those W140s.  21s with a JP Aero kit would be outstanding!

Thank you for the kind words. You really think I should step it up to 21s? I'm kinda rubbing right now with my setup in the rears. If I go 21s I might have to go less wide.

Yea man, we're really considering going air. We were going to go do hydros, but I think air is more of a better choice.

For reals, we've been saving up for a bag setup. Hope I can get the stance more aggressive and look right. Don't want to look awkward.

Haha, I wish I still had it but the commute to work was ridiculous. I got a new place recently and now I really wish I still owned that land yacht.

Your stance kind of looks like what mine had from the pictures but i'm not too sure. On mine it looked like I was having some positive camber sometimes. I cut my springs to dump it some more but the ride height adjusted itself back up sometimes. W140 suspension is on crack, lol. You just gotta do what "GANGSTER" (on the forum) did, Air! Its going to look dope though!

Yea man the fab w140 definitely looked sick! There just something about the w140s that you just can't get enough about them. lol..:D

Oh yea mine doesn't have SLS, or the self leveling suspension. But I know what your talking about. My friend's s600 is giving him the same problem until he flushed it out. And had it redone. The thing was like riding lowrider for one minute and then a 4x4 truck. hahaha...

But yours had a positive camber?

I actually have about -2 degree camber in the rear. I'm hoping to get more. But right now with offset I'm sitting flush to the fender. No tuck at all. I'm rolled in the rear so I don't rub. Only on super big dip with someone in the back seat, then I will rub.

Yea air is the next thing on the list. Hard to find a good company that will fit the suspension component of the w140.

i have the s320 like yours...less options the better with the w140...the s600 is ultimate ballah status but I've heard of $5K + repair bills on those things...
 
no company makes a bolt on air kit for the w140...you need to custom make it yourself...its actually cheaper than getting UAS stuff...

Yeah, I went with the k-mac kit. Its doesn't allow too much adjustment, its more for fixing camber and not messing it up... lol.

The 600 are definitely the beast!

lol....:D I have a S320LWB! :biggthumpup: It's just I like it when people see my car their first guess is always an s600. I'm not at all ashamed of 320. I loved the 320, but if I were to get another w140 I would definitely get the s600 but I wouldn't mod it. 

The car is now currently in the body shop for a front face job!

these last two pics were of the headlight modded to incorporate LEDs. These LEDs are controlled on/off by a switch so I don't have to have it on when driving, thought it was pretty neat:) (sorry for crappy quality pics, from my phone). I could probably say we're the first to rock these headlights and first to put LEDs into headlights on a 140.

I am feeling the car But I AM not feeling the LEd strips in the front ... It dosent match the age of the car ...

very nice build going on here, really got me missing my s420 i had a year ago. 
had to flip it though.  didnt need two project cars on my hands at the time.

 air is definetly the way to go on this one, this car is rather easy to bag with some truckin mentality and could really save you out of pocket as compared to some of the kits out there.

 i debated going hard on mine before i decided to sell it, i was always showing these pics to a buddy of mine so he could fabricate some brackets for me.  i remember him saying ''i got this'' get your stuff and let me know when your ready, we'll knock it out on a weekend.

Just because you're the first with LED in headlights doesn't mean it look good...personally, not feelin' those...

THe LED looks nice to me. I notice u have a different set of projector headlights where did you find those at?

Saw the car and met Yogi at formula d. The car haha wow, I love it looks great in the pics but so much more in person. Super attention to detail and quality and learned a few new things today. It has a lot of presence!
