I really like that 500e. Has anyone ever built one of the older 500S? I've seen a couple around and they make my LS430 feel small.....I wonder if they are just too big to look good dropped with wheels.

any previous models are old school..any current models are new school---did i miss something.....

If you consider a model that may be only 2 or 3 years old "Old school" then I'd say  yes, you missed something.   Old school means old, not the previous model.

When the new $20's came out like 8 years ago, this chick at a pizza joint took my "old" 20 and was like "whoa, old school 20!" I wanted to punch her.

Just the same as old school rap. People would say tupac biggie run dmc ect and it's the same era as the 140 style. I considered my 1970 sl a classic not old school and not even when I had it 12 years ago. Preception is everything and we can argue it all say I am sure but at the end of the day I am still right hahaha

No longer own either. There is a really old thread here somewhere when I owned it. It ended up in impound and crushed last I heard, some drug runner bought it. Makes me sad.

Someone please get a 126 and do it right, just one time so i can see what it looks like. Im always having these thoughts of just getting one myself and doing it but not sure what it would take suspension wise and what one would look like vip.

No one will ever get one. A lot of the time people will buy whats "hot" and "in" which is newer body styles cause there is more you are able to do to them. But a lot think they can, and often not cause they spent too much on the car it's self and no room to mod. 

But I am picky as shit when it comes to older cars like the 126. I had a super clean 300ce, a what ever that 77 280 benz code is, a w220, and I have a Jag that is in very very good condition. I once saw a 126 that almost no miles on it. It was owned by Mr. Albertsons from Albertsons grocery. The car looked like it was never driven, and no one should even drive it or modify it.

And with that, why ruin a perfect example of a older car that is in pristine condition? Well, to get an older on that is in need of work only to mod it will cost more than buying a newer body style car. And a newer body style car is well, whats in right now.

Do you have pics of the suicide doors by the door jambs? Im interested to see how they managed that

i remember this event here, it was so sick to see this car putting it down on the streets with all the trucks.  i was so taken by w140 models after that i went out and bought one, sadly i have since sold it.
