Has anyone milled down spacers w/ pressed studs??

I have a set of Ichiba V2 15mm that are about 2mm too heavy and am about to try and have 2mm shaved off the back side taking about 1mm of the back of the pressed stud with it has anyone else ever done this???

Yes.  I had 15mm bolt on spacers milled 2 mil front AND rear.   New size was 11mm.  

There are a couple of things to be aware of so please learn from my mistakes. 

Front: The knurls of the pressed in studs were larger than the holes on some wheels.  With 2mm milled off the knurls were now protruding.  I had to have holes on the wheels opened up to fit the studs.

Rear:  Studs were removed then 2mm milled.  Ones the studs were pressed back in, the backs of the studs protruded 2mm out so the spacer no longer fit flush on the brake rotor hat.  I had to have shallow pockets drilled into the rotor hats to make room for the backs of the studs.

Good advice, wouldn't it be easier to buy some "adjustable" spacers from Parts Shop Max?

I am planning on taking it off the backside and milling the back of the stud as well. the backside of the stud(head) is 5mm thick exactly and it sits recessed into the spacer about 1mm so what im thinking is just taking it of the head of the stud as well.

I had never seen those before the only concern I have is there is no center bore extension ring with those and how can you be sure your studs are to long or short for the wheel. I also already have a set of $120 hubcentric Ichiba and a friend that owns a machine shop. I really probrably only need 1mm taken off to clear I want to go 2mm to be safe.

That could work nicely if you take the head of the stud off as well.  Let us know how it goes!

I milled them down 2.5mm off the backside with the studs still pressed in, they seem to work fine so far, no vibration and I was still a little heavy so I had to get the grinder back out and shave the fender flat on the inside from 12o'clock to 2 and I now tuck and clear by like 1mm when the suspension is compressed and don t rub with people in the back.

Well done!!  I have been having fun with 15mm spacers this weekend.  The pockets on my wheels are not deep enough to accept the left over factory stud.  I need bigger spacers anyway so I am selling mine to get 20mm.  This way it will bring the wheel flush and also the studs will clear the wheels.
