Huuuuuge wheel fitment issue need help or opinions on what to do ucf20
Ok here's the story I have a ucf20 I bought a set of 19 inch ssr veinna's and sent them out to Mr Ralph wright and now their effin huge front are 19x10 don't know offsets but I know the size of the lips fronts have 4 inch lips and rears have 6 inch lips and the rear wheels are 19x13:) so now my thing is I have a set of Megan coilovers but how bad of a pull/roll would I need on my fenders to fit these things right btw not really into the whole fiber glass fender I like the factory body lines with the extreme pulled looked so how bad would the camber and pull be? Btw I'm still new at this :pat:

Maaaannnn have fun with that shit. Tmk your going to need a good pull and plenty of camber and stretch. Why not have metal fender work done to the car?

why would you send them out for widening without knowing how wide they were going to become? you're going to have quite a bit of difficulty fitting those, unless you're willing to widen the fenders. anyway, good luck -- i'd love to see a pair of 19x13's on a UCF20

you're going to need body work. you can fit it with extreme camber and a super hard pull, but at the end of the day, it'll look so much better with extended factory lines.

I doubt that it would fit with just a pull, gonna need bodywork for sure

Neither front or rear will fit under stock metal. I have 19x10 +6 up front and the pull I did is too much IMHO. The fender/door gap has been increased just a little.
The rears are going to need major major bodywork. I have 19x11 +12 in the rear and with 4.5 degrees of camber Imve pulled all that's possible with a fender roller.
You're in for some major work.

Holy shit dude, you're getting in deep with those.
You really should have started your body work first and then figured out what you could fit in the fenders.

Just take the loss and sell the lips. You will get some of your money back at least. The body work on that car might be more than you want to do and at the end of the day, those lips are going to make you spend thousands more just to fit them. If that was what you had planned from the start than okay but it may not end up looking how you wanted it to.

Well I know for a fact I'm going to need major body work another thing is like I said I'm pretty new to this forum so I don't know how to post pics and I'm pretty sure this thing would look clean when I'm done wit it, reason y I made this thread is to also get recommendations on body shops/dudes that work on VIP style cars in San Diego

It kind of sounds to me that you didn't do your homework. There are three parts to knowing specific wheel fitment: what will fit your car/chassis, what the width of the wheel is, what the offset is. Seems to me, the only item of those three that you know, is the widths.
Did you research on this website, or rimtuck.com to see what a UCF20 can fit? Your question about how much pull & camber leads me to think you don't know what is doable on a LS.
Anybody that understands how offsets are calculated, could have taken the specs of your wheels before you added the larger outer barrels, and figured out your new offsets. Did you research that?
Please, prove me otherwise though. I want to believe that you just didn't spend thousands of dollars on wheels that probably won't fit with out massive metal work.

Not sure what kind of 'feedback' you are looking for. I'm also not sure how you expect to not have any negativity when you are basically saying you don't know what you are doing
at all. This isn't Howard Stern; saying shit to shock people and then they'll think you're cool. Did you send them out and say 'hey make sure these don't fit". Maybe post some pics before acting like you are the shit. Were you like "fuck it, i'll run flares" cause then I can somewhat understand but it sounds like you want these to fit without the work.
Saying you got 19x10/13 wheels and then saying you are having trouble fitting them sure doesn't sound like you did your homework. Whatever you spent on those wheel's you are about to spend on body work.
A fender roller is not going to help you. It's made by Eastwood, not Hogwarts, it can't do magic.
6 inch lip on 13" wide so you got what a like -25 offset? So that's a good 3.5-4" wider then flushity flush. We'll say a 3.5" flare and hope you can squeeze a little more with some camber modification. There is an assortment of fender flares on ebay that are 3+ inches and they sell them in pairs. May be the cheapest/easiest way of doing it.

And nothing will help because this is retarded.
I thought I was going to get super wide wheels and make them fit. No. As I found out it does not work that way. I learned all the flares and camber and imagination in the world is not going to fit 16" wide -a hundred something on a unibody car from the 80's. As it would turn out, there is some degree of measuring required when you put wheels on a car. The wider you go, the more measuring required.
Your form of measuring, brain eyeballing, is the lowest rung on the measuring ladder, and will yield similar results.
Since this thread is 2 pages long and has no pictures of unrealistically wide wheels on it I figure i'll contribute one from my personal stash (aka my wide wheel lesson), as this obnoxious kid I went to high school with used to say:
PA-DUNG!

Try and be a little respectful on this forum, else you will learn the hard way that being on this forum is a previledge, not a right.
If you havent noticed, there are a lot of pple on this forum that have built cars and built them well.
So, do us all a favor, ease up on the ego. Upload the pics so we can see how much of an epic win or fail your fitment is going to be.
Seriously, if you cant figure out how to post pics on a forum, why should we trust you on your word that you know how to fit wheels?

Sdls400;366094 wrote:...not really into the whole fiber glass fender I like the factory body lines with the extreme pulled looked so how bad would the camber and pull be?
It's what you wrote that is getting you negative reactions. With that extreme of a wheel what you like and want is not going to happen with just a roll and pull. It's not even a roll and pull when you have to tub and do metal work and all types of shit to make it look semi-nice. You won't even have to worry about camber much since you will definitely need to be cutting up your fenders. Just set the camber to what you want the wheels to look like on the car instead of using it as a clearence adjustment.
good luck...you're going to need it. but if you pull this off it would be awesome.
I just realized that if your rears are that big and you redo the quarter panel you will need to do the doors or else it won't look right.

Damm blitz got his game down...
On my ucf21, im runnin 18x12 with 5.5 " lip and it required all the work blitz just mentioned...
U can only pull so much where itll just look stupid after that.....
I had to cut my inner fenders out and tubbed the shit out of it in order to clear everything if u wanna drive low...
Also had to pull the door skin out half an inch to blend the flare, or else it would had look stupid...
but overall, its ur car so pull n camber it all u want to fit those wheels... Ur back view will look hella ugly.... Nothing but tire showing...

it isnt a wheel fitment problem.
It is a brain fitment problem. as in your head is too large for it, so it MUST have been rolling around to think you can fit those judging by your posts.
Me? I could make them fit..you...not so much
and i could do it iwth just rolling and pulling the fenders.
Think inwards not outwards :) costs MUCH less

None of us want to discourage you. But, optimum wheel fitment isn't throwing darts at a wheel chart, and hoping for the best. It is an interplay between camber, stretch, and body work. All three influence each other.

Ralph never mentioned that the lips you chose were ultra aggressive? The shop you found that is willing to fit these...make sure you look at some of their other cars they've worked on. Make sure it is the quarter panel/fender work style that you want. The last thing you want is get this done and end up with $5K bodyshop bill and a look you don't like.
The worst I've seen is a widebody or whatever with big ass wheels...but the body shop I guess F'ed up and made the quarter panel come out over an inch from the wheel making the wheel look sunken in even with super aggressive wheels. I think it was a supra or something at SEMA

The wheels themselves look sick. Its not as much as the lip size that is the problem, its the lip size on these wheels. The face goes straight down, doesnt curve in. If it curved in (convex) the offset would be higher and easier to fit. Either way, it would take lots of work.
My guess on the size would be a 13 width -4 offset.

for sure for sure you will need to do major work... for sure you will need to flare the doors to match the quarterpanel. maybe even radius the edge. anyway you can jack up the wheel closer to the edge and do a picture shot from facing the rear of the car to the front and then one from up top straight down?
I used to have these wheels in 19s but not as big of a lip as those... looks nice.

nah
you guys are thinking all wrong
its cheaper to shorten axles and cut sections out of control arms than to do a freaking widebody.
cut a few inches out of the inside, dont add the shit on the outside. the era of huge flares os over with the 2000s

That is a great idea, but have you ever seen it done on an LS? I'd love to see an example. Crazy lips on stock fenders would be a good look.

shortened arms aren't going to work on a wheel with that much barrel, or at least not without a ridiculous amount of inner clearance work.

tub is easy... shock relocation, not so much. need a narrow (10ish) low offset wheel for clearance.

that's because it's the cheapest mod and installation difficulty level of 1.
It's obvious this guy didn't know what he got himself into... Like some of these already modded LS guys know that his size rear wheel isn't just a simple roll and pull.

not sure! you would have to find the thread in the suspension sub forum!
but since this thread is still about fitment issues ill give you a couple of issues i have had and how i fixed them!
problem: 19x12 'et-29'.
fix: i had the offset shaved off to a -4
problem: 18x12.5 et+6 'stock camber adjustments maxed'
fix: custom fender radius/ pull + frame work to bring the rear camber to -8 with stock suspension components!

PLATINUM widens the mounting holes for the upper arms in the rear to allow the arm to have a few degrees of adjustment.

despite the jokes, just sit on it. get your money right and then throw it at the car. i think if you're like most guys here you'll regret selling the car and wheels down the line, or at the very least you'll always have that "what if". besides, it's not like anyone ever gets close to what they put in.
