Anthony from Canibeat here! ive been wanting to join the vsc forums for a while since my interest in the vip culture has been growing more and more. i currently drive a matrix and hopefully will pick up a UCF20 by the end of this summer. 

ill be on here frequently researching what ill be needing to get to get that LS sittin pretty.

hahaha ive learned alot working with the fitment on my matrix. i dont think it should be hard for me to figure out what imma run on the LS. haha i plan on using black suede if anything.

but yea i definitely know what im getting myself into.
learned alot from modding the matrix. do it right the first time. i wasted a bunch of money on stupid stuff i bought for the matrix. but now i know what to get. just go straight to bags and legit wheels lolololol

fasho! i actually was thinking either the ucf20 or 21. last night i made my decision that imma go with the UCF21. they arent much different other than the front end degisn right?

anyways, for the most part, the chassis is the same minus the obvious exterior changes.

hi guy welcome!! met dave last yr at first class fitment. ucf20/21 is a tab confuseing my sig shows you the front if the after m/c. i always say ucf21. theirs a thread in the gallery with a ucf20 but iv seen ppl say mine is a 20.. :shrug:

not really :shrug: legit wheels are legit wheels and suspension is suspension.  if he went legit parts on the matrix, it wont cost much more for the LS, considering his plans for the car

haha dont worry, the stickers and plaid interior will stick with the matrix. the roof rack however, if i do get one, ill only use it if i need it, like moving out or to go biking or something, just as i did with the roof rack on the matrix. im actually one of the few to actually use it. as a matter of fact it was the 2nd thing i got for my car back in 2008, right after my intake lolol

UCF20/21 can refer to any LS models from 95-00.  The models from 98-00 has the different fascia.  the "21" instead of "20" were just a designation code for LS models sold outside of the US and Canada.  It's been said that it was a way to designate air suspension equipped premium models.  So, most ppl with stock air suspension on their LS, typically refer to their model as UCF21.

No no, it was sold in the US as well.  But the "UCF21" designation was originally used in the markets outside of the US and Canada.  It was a factory notation that people started misusing.  People just started picking it up in the US and using it to say that their car is a UCF21 if it's between 1998-2000.......but that's not correct.

ok so how do i know if its the UCF21 or 20 if the UCF21 was sold in the US as well? is the only difference the stock air suspension?

well it has come to my attention that it would be better for me to stay with the matrix and deal with what i have than getting rid of it for an LS400. this summer i plan on fixing all the problems with the car and go with more of the VIP styling on the matrix.

i may end up re-wrapping my interior to full out black suede. ive seen it in my buddies xb, and it was pretty clean. as you can see with my car, i went with the O_O WTF factor and so far a lot of people like it. this summer, ill be attempting to get that O_O WTF factor without doing the crazy stuff. i will however be shooting for bags and either rotiforms, works, or weds. weds may be out of the question because they dont come in 5x100 -___________- im going for 18x11s in the rear and 18x10s up front.

imma want the most lip possible so imma proly go with brand new wheels...

you will have a hell of a time A) finding wheels in that size and B) getting them to fit with anything other than sky high offsets (not to mention probable backspacing issues)

I would try out a 17x8/9.. if your feeling brave maybe a 9/10 stagger. Why 17s? youll be lower.  Its much easier to camber a narrower wheel.

I have 18x10.5/11.5 that I could barely stuff into my 4 door sedan with semi-aggressive offsets.  I dont know firsthand but I would bet the matrix doesnt have anywhere near as much room under there as its larger brethren.

lol bro, im currently running 18x9 +15 up front and 18x10 +15 in the rear with about another inch of backspace in the back. ive run 18x9 -5 in the front before with mad camber so im pretty sure i can run a 10" in the front. i can run an A disc in the front. the rear however, im pretty sure i can run an O disc. 17s are too small for my car, i believe 18s are the perfect size.

Just buy and make them fit. If they're too wide for the rear, narrow the swing axle or do the appropriate body work.

i think, if youre keeping the matrix, stick with what you got goin...the theme and what not, imo, looks great as is.  if you wanan go vip, go with a more vip oriented vehicle...tahts not to say im all about "platform" as i drive a honda..but i think a vip look would only be forced on a matrix, especially when you already shitting on the matrix game as it is

so far ive figured out imma shoot for 18x10 +10 up front with a 225/40, and a 18x11 +15 in the back with a 235/40. now to figure out what wheels i have to choose from that can be made in 18x11 in 5x100....
