Any wheels similar?

I'm new to the Vip/Vipstyle scene. I've enjoyed the many pictures and ideas from the members. There are some nice wheels that are also very expensive!*LOL*. 
 
I had never heard of Rotiform and found out that Concept One had a wheel identical to the Rotiform. The question I have is that I like the look of the VIP Modular VR01's. Does anybody know of a company that produces a wheel similiar to the VR01's (I can do without the rivets if the wheel is like the VR01s). that is alot less expensive. Thanks for the help.

I think you should reconsider this whole style homie... Authenticity is the main focus of this way of modding...( Eventhough most wheel companies copy each other's designs )
 
At the end of the day... when buying replica wheels you always pay at the end... buying replacements, fixing never ending cracks and bends, towing, headaches, etc...

there are a few wheels that are the same style, but not that much cheaper if you want quality!  around here, we dont like to support knockoffs

Dont sacrifice quality and looks to save money.  Just save until you can afford what you want and keep looking for a used set to pop up in the mean time.

I agree with not get cheap quality, but unless a wheel has been reviewed and you don't drive like a mad man..we wouldn't know if a particular wheel company is cheap quality.
 
I could save up for these, but I don't see spending 6000 on some wheels which is what I would spending especially since my offsets would have to be at the max 20 x 10 38et or 20 x 9.5 40et or 35et.  I dont' have a rear wheel drive car.  Nissan Altima 2005.   Right now Im riding on 20 x 9.5 40et MRR HR3's.

I honestly really like rotiform and really want a set myself. Like everyone else will tell you, just buy the real thing, maybe buy a used set which will cost the same as those wheels would new. In the long run, you will much happier with the real thing than a knock off.

Those are not $6000 dollars, even in 20 inches.  The Works pancakes posted are about as close to the design as you're gonna get while still maintaining quality. I would contact some of the vendors on here, compare prices and see who can get you the better deal on the works or the modulars.

I'll pass to any rotiforms. Prices are ridiculous for a company that’s just starting off. Maybe they’re trying to cover their overhead from starting up the company but they are way too expensive right now.

These are in the under 2600 range brand new (the specs do not come too aggressive on these wheels though)

Their cast wheels are actually priced decent, its their forged wheels that cost a grip, like 6-7k for 18-19's.

Amistad Klaud's are pretty damn close to the vr01's. But they arent "cheap" either. Goodluck

I do want to ask whats up with the secret offsets?  I mean is it that serious..*LOL* If I have a ride and have wheels with an offset that fits I wouldnt mind helping someone else with their fitment..in the end their just wheels with offsets..*LOL* Not your bank account..*lol*..anyways just asking a question.

The Rotiform guys are uber-cool. I like their stuff.

FWIW, both of those mesh are basically knock-offs of an OE Gallardo wheel.

As far as offsets go, most wheel companies don't release them because they spend a fair amount of time trying to figure them out. Sort of their "secret sauce." And just because a certain offset works for one wheel doesn't mean it will work on another - there are flat spokes, bowed spokes, big brakes, etc.

You're missing the point.  It has nothing to do with the offsets and more to do with what mods you plan to make to your fenders/body to fit the look you want to achieve.  There are no magic numbers.  Most of the wheels you'll see on members cars would never fit under stock skin.  So really there is only perfect fitment for YOUR car and no one else's.  My wheels on my Jag would NEVER fit on a stock bodied XJ.  If you aren't comfortable with this fact then maybe this style isn't for you...but like stated above me, different considerations make for different choices depending on wheel design and modifications.

How did you go about finding the width/offset that would work for your car?  Did you use multiple wheels or had friends who had wheels to experiment with?

Thanks a lot..I like seeing the wheels in "real life" *LOL* I've seen some wheels in a pic and they look terrible in person and some in a pic that didn't look too good and look better in person. 
 
Can't really gauge the reflection of the finish or curves in the wheels without actual video or real life picture
 
They look nice, the face is just flat.:(  ...just like how the face of the VR01s have a convex profile too it..

They definitely got their inspiration from the Gallardo wheel but I wouldnt call it a knockoff since we are compaing a mono-block to a multipiece.  They do have a mono-block version of that wheel though that I would consider more of a knockoff.  The profile is different though, one is flat and the other is curved so its just "influenced"

I don't have the luxury of grabbing a friends wheels and trying them out.  I pretty much have the only vipcar in St Louis..and it's a Jag.  Haha, I measure he backspacing, the spacing from mounting point to fender edge and get a basic idea of my offset from that based on the design of the wheel I'm looking for.  Then I think about how far I want to take that look with the body mods I want to accomplish.  Then I order the wheels and make them fit to the look I desire through modifying the body and fenders. Done.

Thanks, I can get the idea of the mounting surface and fender..how did you determine if the wheel or tire would hit the struts, straight ahead or turning?

Backspacing..knowing the distance from the mounting point to the point of first contact on the suspension..or in my case, the body.

so you measured from the point of your tire mount on back to the inner body wall?

elpresidente did it the smart way haha i ordered my wheels basically blind. i know i'll need to work the fenders to fit them so its no big deal.
